cspan-schumer-gonzo.jpg Senator Schumer declined to take his final time today to question Gonzales, instead opting to tell him how disappointed he was in his failure to recall or sufficiently explain his actions. Gonzales shot back, saying that he's done everything possible to allow the Committee to meet its burden of proof. Schumer countered that no, the standard with regard to the AG is much higher and when he fires people who have dedicated their lives to this country for no good reason, the burden lies with him.
