And you know what happened when we called them out? The attacks started pouring in.
That same day, the Ann Coulter-wannabe Michelle Malkin blasted John on her blog. Fox News has been bashing him around the clock. And Coulter herself said, “if I’m going to say anything about John Edwards in the future, I’ll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot.”
As you’ll see from the clip, the caption read “Republicans Losing Ground?” and we see just why that’s happening when Annie opens her trap. Way to go, ABC…

We need to send letters of boycott to ANY network (and their sponsors) who carry this nonsense. This is hate speech at its absolute worst. This person does nothing to further the constructive political dialogue.
Transcripts of this woman’s comments need to be sent to all program sponsors and demand that they put pressure on the networks to never give her airtime again.

Profane Broadcast Restrictions
The FCC has defined profanity as “including language so grossly offensive to members of the public who actually hear it as to amount to a nuisance.”
Like indecency, profane speech is prohibited on broadcast radio and television between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
I would say that her statements were grossly offensive and she is a nuisance.

The media wouldn’t have her on their shows if they didn’t want her. She gets air time because her inflammatory rhetoric gets ratings and ratings means money. They get ratings because too many Americans are stupid enough to watch her as she craps all over good people. Modern technology is pretty cool in most respects but it has also allowed unintelligent fools like her to spread their hate much more easily. Frankly, the best way to deal with people like Ann Coulter is to turn your backs on them and pointedly ignore them. Don’t grant them the forum they so desperately crave. The unenlightened eventually fade into obscurity when they realize nobody wants to hear their message.

I mean, what do I know, I’m Canadian - but the FCC has shown itself to be more than receptive to complaints from the right (Brent Bozell’s silly Parents’ Television Council; large fines for swearing and Janet Jackson’s “wardrobe malfunction”) about broadcast content that is inappropriate for families.
Coulter says (with a bare minimum of qualification) that she wishes Edwards to be killed by terrorists.
That’s hate speech. It’s an incitement to violence. Coulter is using the public airwaves to advocate the murder of John Edwards, specifically because he represents a political party she dislikes.
If I were an American, I would complain to the FCC. Seriously. She is challenging the limits of free speech - at least as much as Janet Jackson did when the FCC fined the network for flashing her tit. This vile, anti-democratic, hateful statement should not be allowed to go unchallenged.
What Maher said was shitty, and what Coulter said was shitty.
I don’t want any of these people to die, I just want them to shut up and quit fucking up my country.
