Bush meets with Right Wing Mil-Bloggers at the White House

(please have a barf bag ready: via Clif)

What’s this, you say? War-supporting bloggers in the Oval Office? It’s not like Bush needs to give them tips since the Pentagon already feeds them propaganda. I guess it’s a good old fashioned pat on the back for a job well done. Here’s some of the hilarity that ensued:

My question focused on how national political reconciliation will affect progress in the Anbar Province and Fallujah specifically, and the President’s answer honestly surprised me in its length, level of detail and grasp of events on the ground.

He’s surprised that the President has information about his immoral war! What’s that WC Fields line about suckers? I like the new term they are using: New Media. A nice way for Bush fool the MSM. Sadly, No! takes a look at one of these Mil-Bloggers vlog report on the NY Times. Uncle Jimbo is so excited that Malkin mentioned his name on FOX! TREX has some new material to work with for sure…

Will Bill O’Reilly tell us that the GOP has been hijacked by the right wing talk radio and the wingnutosphere who proudly helped torpedo the immigration bill?

Via Sadl,No!

Advertising Age, which probably knows more about this matter than a guy who sold space for the Baraboo News Republic, has this to say about the whole affair:

But MoveOn bought its ad on a “standby” basis, under which it can ask for a day and placement in the paper but doesn’t get any guarantees. Standby pricing doesn’t appear on the Times rate card — but that kind of ad at a standby rate turns out to run about $65,000.

And that’s what the Giuliani campaign paid as well … for its counter ad today berating MoveOn … A campaign spokeswoman declined to say what the Giuliani campaign paid but said it was told by the newspaper that it was being charged the same standard rate MoveOn was charged.

From a blogger at FDL:

‘A moment I’ve been dreading. George brought his ne’re-do-well son around this morning and asked me to find the kid a job. Not the political one who lives in Florida. The one who hangs around here all the time looking shiftless. This so-called kid is already almost 40 and has never had a real job. Maybe I’ll call Kinsley over at The New Republic and see if they’ll hire him as a contributing editor or something. That looks like easy work.’

From the just published REAGAN DIARIES. The entry is dated May 17, 1986.

Pathetic.

These ass-clowns sum up the entire wingnut movement. Rage, mocking and ridicule.

No issues, policies or successes to speak of. BUT HILLARY CLINTON IS TEH UGLY!!

Absolute assclowns. I’d like to smack both in the face with a large dead fish.

I think it was P.T. Barnum who had the famous quote about suckers.

Still, it’s amazing how the filter works, isn’t it? Time and time again, we see people who out of step with both the public and reality placed center stage, simply because they happen to have the “right” political view.

sorry this is somewhat OT, but why does defense secretary Gates hate our troops?

Gates urges veto of troop-rest measure

WASHINGTON - Senate Democrats are confident they can pass legislation to give troops more rest between Iraq deployments, a measure aimed at pressing the Bush administration to change its war policy.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates called the proposal by Sen. Jim Webb, D-Va., a dangerous “backdoor way” to draw down additional forces. Gates said he would recommend a veto.

“If we get this next phase wrong — no matter how you feel about how we got to where we are, the consequences of getting this wrong for Iraq, for the region, for us are enormous,” he said Sunday.

Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., responded that shorter breaks were creating an undue strain on U.S. troops and their families.

“They deserve the same amount of time back home as they stay in the field,” Reed said.

What a waste of bandwidth.

The first milblog I ever saw…and the last…was Blackfive!!! OMG what a pack of nazi’s!!!! I got booted in 2005 for this post!!

…”pro war people in crawford are REACTING to anti war protesters. it is sad to see so many people who have so much to loose and so little to gain from this war act as puppets for the military industrial mediatainment complex.

as much as i love and cherish all the men and women in the armed forces, i hate the way they are being used, and now how their families are being used to say it is the american way to kill and maim to enrich the already super rich and protect the racist nation of israel.

if you want to find wmd’s in the mideast head northwest to israel. if you want to find a nation that sponsors terrorism head south to Saudi Arabia. if you want to find al qaeda’s nest head east to pakistan. if you want to find human rights abusers and war criminals, look in washington dc and london.

i am a conservative. in other words we can’t afford this war. the money, the loss of life, the ruined lives, the alienation of our allies, and we are giving china MORE rope to economically hang us with.

i’ve read this blog for a week now and many intelligent well intentioned people read and contribute. but there is one underlying thread…war is good, war will solve our problems. so many have bought into it.

One can only imagine: “Anbar. Al Qaeda. Bang! Bang!”

Guys like that are the reason I no longer serve in the military. Why anyone would put their lives on the line for chicken asses like them is beyond me. On the other hand, I know some like them personally and 9 times out of 10 if they did try to join up at some point most couldn’t hack the military and were kicked out for some reason or another (I.E. mental disorders, disorderly conduct,…etc) and now talk tough because they know they didn’t pack the gear to serve. This video my friends is what cowardice looks like and those guys are in good company to seeing as how most of the Republican Party are a bunch of draft dogers as well.

I bet some where there is a black and white video shot during the Vietnam war showing Bush and Cheney (Cheney with his 5 deferments and Bush going AWOL) doing the exact same thing. Bush must have had flashbacks when he saw those two as it reminded him of his past.

Ellie Says:

Just yesterday Wolfe “Far Right Wing AEI Member” Blitzer made a point of pestering Dem guests to support or denounce MoveOn based on the double standard that Dems account for every single public fragment of any center-left to way left body.

I wonder if Blitzer and other falsely-labeled liberal media will demand that every single Repug party member or RW leaning party accept or denounce, say, Michelle Malkin, warts and all … particularly her position to house in prison camps anyone opposed to the warmongering, skeptical of the (dis)info being put out about it or merely critical as exercising one’s franchise allows.

Oh, that’s right — that would be merely FAIR and send the bedwetters into a tizzy.

28
HulksHeroes Says:

Unwatchable! Yup, these guys were so “not funny” and rambling idiots, I had to turn it off. I sufferred through about 4-5 minutes before I realized it wasn’t going to get any better.

This is just one more example of “right wing humor”. It’s so “not funny” that it hurts. The pathetic series that the propaganda network made their fans suffer through was of the same quality.

Keep up the good work you two idiots. YOU think you are funny. I guess that’s what makes you good repugs….you THINK you matter.

I think they should test Darwin’s theory of natural selection and volunteer for mine clearing duty in Afghanistan. But then again, they may prove it driving to the local 7-11 or White Castle for some cheese nasties. Not there is anything wrong with cheese nasties at 4 in the morning. They sure do give my ass a sore throat in the morning , though. The Cheese nasties, that is.

If one ever needed proof that this country is in trouble politically, financially and is teeming with the foul-mouthed, dumb-down, war-is-god wingnuts this video is proof…

To be vaguely OT in the name of pouncing on the mention of Darwin, I’d like to help natural selection along here by promoting the practice of denying all science-based health services to knee-jerk RW dorks who squelch science and bang the moral values drum to (rhetorically) underscore the persecution of their perceived political enemies.

Seriously, let them all expire under faith healing and let Cloud Being sort it out.

Who can blame someone for buying a newspaper when they’re sloppy, rambling, non-fact checked, “we’re just two dudes talking about politics in backwards baseball caps, drinkin’ beer!” schtick is totally incoherent? These people don’t even try to appeal to opposing views by being persuasive and utilizing facts, it’s just a big self-congratulatory circle-jerk for people who feel the same way.

YES, I am smarter than them and I DO think it makes me a better person.

Yeah, I thought I was looking at David Beckham and Brad Pitt when I clicked that video. Then, the heroin wore off.

Seriously, and why does the right insist on besmearching good bands like The Clash by using their great music in their rubbish?

Dear god, these people are a national disgrace. Is it any wonder that their nit-wittery is matched only by the numb-skullery of the Commander Guy they worship. We are doomed.

A couple of dipshits who are so dim, they don’t see that they’re dim. Sad, sad, sad. This is what is know as “the-least-common-denominator”, the folks to whom Georgie appeals. George has not inspired the county and it’s citizens to be the best they can be, he has done the opposite. He has inspired people to give into their basest, ugliest instincts, embrace your inner racist, your inner bigot, your inner redneck and be a loud & proud ugly American. This is Georgie’s legacy….
