Why must Stewart make our president look so bad? haha
"MAY" being the key word. (We got to buy time boss. Till the public forgets about it)
AP - 1 hour, 21 minutes ago
WASHINGTON - The State Department may phase out or limit the use of private security guards in Iraq, which could mean canceling Blackwater USA's contract or awarding it to another company in line with an Iraqi government demand, The Associated Press has learned.
Absolutely Briliant! That clip has been years in the making!
Come on John let it fly.
Time to risk it all
Oh and Gonzo hired a defense attorney today.
Dhalgren @ 5:

Flee Country to spend more time with family
I'm hear to write that I think Chimpy is a douche.
"In my line of work you gotta keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kinda catapult the propaganda ...
This guy sits on mountain of bad karma that is in league with some of the highest peaks in history. What a nightmare president!
The Daily Show proves again that the best reporting in America is done by a comedy show.
Well thought out, great examples, and terribly funny.
In my family we say: Big talk, little do. Bush is the champ at it.

Intelligent and hysterically funny, as usual.
steve @ 9:
Yeah he spent all his political capital now that thats gone he'll spend whatever good karma the USA has managed to accumulate.
God Bless Jon Stewart! :-)
"...our first meta-president..."
I wonder Jon has meta-president he really did like?
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
What TDS shows too, is a president that has done such an awful job he can't even go through the motions right. I think Dubya is really trying to explain to himself why he's there, never mind his audience.
"hard work" "making progress" "stay the course"
L.A. Confidential @ 6:
Can he recall that he has a family?
excellent john stewart!!! if only some would see how stupid bush presents himself, might they wonder, why they voted for the moron.
just wait until tonight...
lesbian lynne cheney is going to get grilled
Once again, another Jon Stewart TDS clip for the "Urban Dictionary", to appear under the definition of "Nailed It!".
Jon was on it last night. So was Lewis Black.
As for watching the Lynne Cheney interview tonight--I really doubt I have the stomach for it. I certainly hope Jon is at his best for that interview.
Friar Tuck @ 19:
Bush is a towering intellect to the 29%ers.
Preznit Boosh is a man who uses words to describe actions.....ummmmm..yeah.Then he turns and walks into a wall......bumping his face................yep thats him!
Fcuking brilliant!
Best Daily Show Clip Ever.
LEAVE BUSHY ALONE you bastards!!
He works so hard at getting up in morning and remembering stuff...
LEAVE HIM ALONE, boo, hoo, hoo...
This was truly the best Daily Show I've seen in a long time. They're all good...but this one absolutely hit home on every level.
Yeah, dumbass. Oh, sorry, that's President Dumbass. Speak to us condescendingly, like your handlers must speak to you.
Yeah, like we think you're you're intelligent.
My DOG is more fucking intelligent than you.
as 28 noted, this was *exceptional*.
This piece especiallly hits home on so many levels - how he talks but does nothing, how he speaks but his actions betray, and it's all through the form of "I'm here to tell you (x)"
That Stewart et al picked up on this and put it together in such a coherent manner is dead brilliant.
Right on! Especially the last 20 second clip/comment. Go Jon!
who the f**#!!!...invited this guy here anyway???...
L.A. Confidential @ 2:
Yeah. Eric Prince's recently incorporated "Bluewater"??? Sound about right?
Jon has a poin in this clip.
hope @ 22:
I don't know if I would expect a whole lot out of this one. I love Jon and what he does, but I believe he will be quite courteous with her. A lot of people complain when Jon lobs softballs at these types of guest, and I agree with them for the most part, but this probably is not the one to do it. The profile of the guest on TDS have been on a very sharp rise, this is likely due, at least in a large part, to the fairness and politeness that Jon shows these guest. The Daily Show interviews are moving up the chain of command by Jon being the "better man". Nailing the wife of Dick Vader(eeew,no pun intended), might not be the smartest approach. It's frustrating, no doubt, but flies, honey, vinegar, and all that.
*point--- (what does Bush actually do)
Edwin @ 35:
That's a very good question. So far he's been the village idiot running around causing trouble.....with a very stupid smirk on his face.
Oh my God, that's the most brilliant thing I've seen in a long time. It may even be the most brilliant analysis Jon has done. All the smart guys are doing the comedy these days, and the idiots are journalists.
rasta @ 20:
Hardly, they gave her a free pass, I was so thoroughly disappointed. I was more impressed by her having the stones to bring on the Vader statue then any of the sheepish mumblings that came from Jon. Shameful.
Such a perfect metaphore for this administration :D
The Truth Hurts @ 7:
The reason I'm quoting this quote is to state that I'm quoting this quote.
Bush is such a stupid fucker.
I bet you Laura has to help him wipe his ass.
jill @ 41:
Oil industry profits are huge, defense industry stocks skyrocketed, the scam artist US healthcare industry is intact, the richest 1% got richer, the spinelesscrats will happily be blamed for "losing" Iraq - NO ONE in the Bush admin went to jail, EVERYONE in the Bush admin got to feed at the trough and will live in spotless gated communities foreverafter - I'd say Bush is actually pretty fucking smart. Who's stupid now?
if you still think boosh is running the country........well........Illegal war, rising unemployment, health care crisis, uncontrolled spending, deficit???lets not even go there.Loss of international respect, immigration crisis,Iran looming(insane)corruption ,violating the Constitution, questioning someones patriotism for disagreeing with them,torture....I could go on but I have to go to work...............yeah......Boosh is a stupid fucker.
I know exactly who Jon is describing, and it would make me laugh if it wasn't so pathetic, were the person he was describing not so dangerous.
Jon is describing in perfect detail the career Cliff Notes student, the one who never actually does the required work...the one who palms off the work of others as his own....the one who restates the question as a statement, without giving any answer to the original question....the one of shabby thinking (when he even bothers trying to think)....the one who is profoundly lazy...the student who should have flunked out after the first mid-term but is instead carried as dead weight, because he is a legacy admission....the one who, no matter what advantages, privileges and protections are deployed to prop him up, is destined to be a life-long, Sad Sack loser.
Our Prezninintifier, the deciderator.
Man is Bush stupid.
[Deleted. Parody Troll-Sitemonitor]
Jon should have included the "CHILDRENS do learn" clip from a few weeks ago. That was priceless. =)
Like father, like son: "Message: I care."
JudyLou @ 11:
Or as they say in Texas: Bush is all hat and no cow.
Love your Daily Show clips!!!
Bush isn't smart. People want to believe he is because of the damage he's been able to inflict. But it's not just him. He's a puppet for many smarter and more evil people ie. Cheney, Rummy, the right-wing media and the Christian right. But they've only been able to accomplish what they have because of incompetence in preventing 9/11 and by exploiting the fear that followed. Bush is the dumbest asshole who's ever lead this country.
One Year Wonder @ 42:
I thought that Jon handled Lynne with class. She did want to avoid if Dick ever admitted that he was wrong about something and she did appear to be put off by Jon's questioning why the Cheney's have been silent in regards to Conservative right's stance against gays and lesbians.
He couldn't go after her the same way he did with Matthews (which I think that show woke him up a bit), since he an Matthews are basically in the same line of business: You dish it out, you gotta take it. Jon had the same level of class as he did with any visiting head of state (current of former).
At least we can get the truth somewhere, even if it is tragically hilarious.
"I'm here to tell you..." that I love Jon Stewart and I love C&L.
Simply brilliant -- a better analysis of Bush's speeches than I've ever seen by any Serious journalist.
mudshark @ 43:
Katrina,Habeus Corpus,Guantanamo,OBL(still don't have him). shit...failing to heed the warnings of 9/11..failing to secure Afgahnistan(getting worse)....and I still wonder about those 6 nukes that got moved across country....that hasn't happened in 40+ years..getting out of the Kyoto Protocol...who needs clean air?
I know I'm forgetting a few........but you get my point......Boosh is STUPID.....
sad, just sad. and it continues to be sad. sad. sad. sad.
