John Amato’s virtual online magazine…OK, It’s a blog!

Malkin Debases Herself With Further Attacks On A 12 Year Old. C&L Exclusive Quote!

(Remember this ad for Bush in ‘04?) Do you actually think I would ever have considered attacking her and her family because of their support of Bush? I mean, it boggles the mind, doesn’t it?

The utter depravity of it all. The sickness that dwells inside the Malkinites must run deeper than I thought. That’s the only way they can continue to dwell in such slime. I have an exclusive quote from an anonymous source close to the story:

“What these right wing bloggers and some of their Republican friends in Washington have done to this family is simply unconscionable. Instead of attacking the issue, they decided to attack a 12-year old boy. This entire smear campaign by the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Malkin and their allies has been a perverse distraction from the issue at hand - the plight of millions of uninsured children in this country. It also needs to be remembered that the Frosts were viciously attacked for simply speaking their minds and voicing their support for the SCHIP program that was so instrumental in saving the lives of their children. From the Frosts’ perspective, what could be more American?

Hmmm…just debating the issue at hand. Now there’s an idea. You may remember that Howard Kurtz wrote a glowing profile of the right wing’s very own Michelle Malkin a while back. It was rather odd, but not surprising. Soon after he attacked the Huffington Post for having some nasty comments about Dick Cheney on their site, which is a favorite trick of the mmm-essss-mmm. It was dirty pool because he understands the nature of blogging. Since you write about the bloggers quite often, Howie, will you denounce the right wing/Malkin attempts to smear a family and a 12 year old boy? (Here is a public email: http://projects.washingtonpost.com/staff/email/howard+kurtz/. Be polite if you send anything along) Outside of the obvious fact that nobody with any credibility or empathy would do something that odious. Then compound it with the fact that all their idiot reasons are flat out lies.

One critic, in an e-mail message to Graeme’s mother, Bonnie, warned: “Lie down with dogs, and expect to get fleas.” As it turns out, the Frosts say, Graeme attends the private school on scholarship. The business that the critics said Mr. Frost owned was dissolved in 1999. The family’s home, in the modest Butchers Hill neighborhood of Baltimore, was bought for $55,000 in 1990 and is now worth about $260,000, according to public records. And, for the record, the Frosts say, their kitchen counters are concrete.

Republicans on Capitol Hill, who were gearing up to use Graeme as evidence that Democrats have over-expanded the health program to include families wealthy enough to afford private insurance, have backed off.

An aide to Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the Republican leader, expressed relief that his office had not issued a press release criticizing the Frosts.

As for accusations that bloggers were unfairly attacking a 12-year-old, Ms. Malkin wrote on her blog, “If you don’t want questions, don’t foist these children onto the public stage.”

All the proof you need is Rep. Mitch McConnell backing off of the Frost family. Would he so willingly fade away? Actually the real message is that if anyone stands up against the Republican agenda, the right wing bloggers will smear and stalk you with the desired effect of “STFU or we’ll ruin you.” Intimidation, plain and simple. How many times have we seen this? But to be so low as to go after a child. Joe Gandleman–who isn’t a liberal–has a great take on it:

But no, it’s easier to go after a 12 year-old. After all, these days, anyone who is in the way of an agenda has to be discredited so that no one listens to them anymore. Yet, once upon a time, American society would pull out all stops not to go after a kid. The bar has been lowered yet again. This time it has been lowered so far, it has struck oil amid the sleaze…read on

Why is Michelle Malkin still allowed outside without a minder? And a straitjacket?

I made a video clip earlier this week- I took a clip you guys posted of Geraldo, O’Reilly, and Malkin, and when Malkin spoke, on the audio track, I replaced the object of her sentences with various permutations of the hooker in “Apocalypse Now”- So Malkin would reply to Geraldo with “Hey, baby! Me so hawny, love you long time…” It was so cathartic that I laughed until tears came, but I thought better of posting it to YouTube, lest it be reduced to a mere ethnic slur, which it was not. Anything that downgrades Malkin to a loudmouthed strumpet from a “commentator” if fair….the upshot is, keith Olberman was right on target last night, calling these pigs out for what they are- mental cases. And Malkin is the worst of the worst.

By the way. McConnell is my Senator. I’m composing a letter in my head to write to him. It is NOT polite. Something along the lines of this:

Mr. McConnell. You have recently given support to an effort by the conservative netroots to discredit the family of Graeme Frost, who appeared in his own self-interest to support the renewal of S-CHIP. The conservatives to whom you provided direction and support proceeded to invade the life of a 12-year-old boy and his family. They proceeded to tell unconscionable lies about this family’s situation. They proceeded to condescendingly treat this hard-working American entrepreneur as some kind of feckless freeloader. They stalked this family’s home, and posted their address and personal information on the Internet unabashed. They openly wished for the death of these children, and demanded that the hard-working father of four abandon his home and hearth and all that he’s worked for and live in poverty rather than be found taking assistance from the government.

You will disassociate yourselves with these horrid people immediately. This isn’t a request. You are a public servant. Your participation in this affair is digusting and unacceptable. I am demanding as your EMPLOYER the taxpayer that you publicly and immediately apologize for your participation in this slander and harassment or submit your resignation immediately. Your salary comes out of my pocket. Your healthcare comes out of my pocket. Your use of your office and your status to assault this child and his family is despicable. That is all.

Thank goodness I can afford insurance - my son was born about a month ago and the “bill” (statement) came in the mail today. $5000 for the delivery and for my wife to stay in the hospital for 48 hours.

$5000 for a baby delivery - my mind boggles at how much a more complicated medical procedure would cost.

From the McConnell link:

Manley cited an e-mail sent to reporters by a Senate Republican leadership aide, summing up recent blog traffic about the boy’s family. A spokesman for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., declined to comment on Manley’s charge that GOP aides were complicit in spreading disparaging information about Frosts.

So the witch hunt blew up in McConnell’s face, and he just walks away from it? Not so fast, Mitch.

This scumbag should be held accountable.

Sane people everywhere need to keep talking and talking about this kind of stuff (since teh Dems are incapable of pointing it out…).

Who exactly is Malkin and her ilk convincing with such attacks? You don’t win over people by attacking 12 year old boys, wounded GIs, old veterans, 9/11 widows etc. When Malkin and her herd attack people like this, they are only shoring up the mean-spirited, camo-wearing, beer can hugging, lawn chair lugging border watchers, KKK members and skinhead base with stupid attacks like these. They are in “circle the wagons” mode and they know it.

Pile on. Pile on these idiot right wingers public graves. They deserve it and their success is not going to last. There will always be the 29% percenters but the rest of us, the 71%, are getting goddam sick of this stuff. The right wing hate/smear machine is the worst it’s ever been in American history that I’m aware of but they are starting to chew their own heads off by pulling stunts like this. You can only do it so many times before it starts to register with even the most superficial, uninformed, soundbite seeking voter.
And as I mentioned before, Michelle Malkin is one of the most vicious, hateful bitches I can even think of. I either laugh or develop tremendous concern when I actually sit and think that somebody like her is certain she is a Christian. Her brain has got to be a mess of misfiring circuits and big spots of hate and resentment and incomprehension. She simply doesn’t understand what an evil bitch she is or what she represents.
Pile it on guys. Keep it going. Bury this inhuman garbage.

Anyone know Malkin’s attitude concerning criticism of the bush twins? We know the right wing’s treatment of Chelsea was about as bad as it gets.

Everything is fair game to people like Malkin. It’s time to turn the tables and expose everything in her life, past and present.

First off…Slippytoad…excellent letter. In a time when we are constantly horrified by the everyday actions of the government…it remains not an easy task to remember that ‘the people’ really are supposed to be the ones calling the shots…my goodness, what a concept!
As for Malkin & her ilk…I keep being reminded of the film ‘Network’, made way back in 1976.
It just seems to me, that for the sake of ratings (and thereby money & power), characters such as Malkin, Limbaugh, O’Reilly, etc (you get my drift) are given soapboxes to spew their extreme rantings and are encouraged (unfortunately some of the time by upset & well-meaning liberals) to behave ever more outrageous & confrontational…just to keep their ratings high.
That she would give out this family’s home address is totally unconscionable…her apparent opinion of herself goes way beyond arrogant!!!

You know, what I don’t understand is the disconnect between this kid speaking on S-Chip, and the Republican support for the “Snowflake Babies” who acted as human shields when Bush vetoed the Stem Cell Research Bill.

Now, think about this. When in-vitro is done, the doctors implant 6 or 7 embryos at a time. Usually the majority of these embryos are flushed from the system. Sometimes, a doctor aborts some of the embryos to avoid multiple births. Therefore, for every 1 Snowflake Baby, 5 or 6 of the Snowflake Baby’s “sister” embryos are “killed.”

Now, imagine the uproar, if Democrats investigated the medical reports of the snowflake families and stalked the kids to ask them about their “killed” “sisters,” and tormented the families with questions of why they didn’t adopt one of the hundreds of thousand kids in the U.S. needing homes instead of using in vitro, etc, etc. After all, these people put their children into the public stage, right?

Politically, this is a very stupid move of the part of the GOP and the rightwing noise machine. I have to wonder why the rightwing demonizes universal health care, when its favored by 60-70% majority.

It’s like watching the GOP walk into a buzz saw. A thing of sublime beauty.

Pelosi and Reid are doing smacking the GOP around on health care. It’s an issue Americans care deeply about, and GOP members of Congress, if they want to keep their jobs, are gonna have to split with the White House on this. That’s a first, and it bodes well for the Dems’ effort to reign in Bush’s Iraq fiasco.

I am not sure, perhaps I can be enlightened. I suspect that Ms. Malkin is a victim of the fall of Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos when Ferdinand had invited Benigno Aquino back to the Phillippines and then promptly executed him on the tarmac at the Manilla airport. Thus her family was deprived of their ill-gotten gains. Much like the South Florida Cubans who lost their whore houses, gambling casinos and slave sugar plantations when Castro took power and ran them out.

Ninoy’s wife became the president after Ferdinand fled to Hawaii with his heavily shoed wife and conveniently died of cancer just like the Shaw of Iran in Mexico.

Ms. Malkin is sour grapes.

I have a woman friend who speaks five languages, has two BA’s and a pHd, she teaches in Switzerland because in the United States of America you cannot make money being a teacher. Ignorance is power (Duh! George Orwell). She signed a contract to teach in an international school in Manila for two years. They were so corrupt that she left before one year passed.

Ms. Malkin is a creep!

Mcconnell and his Senate Repub colleage, Jim ’senile’ Bunning, make a pair. Bunning is an old loon, ala James Inhofe, and had some ‘wonderful’ slanders against his Democratic opponent in his 2004 re-election bid: …In 2004, Senator Jim Bunning characterized Mongiardo, then a bachelor, as a “limp wrist”. Anyone who saw Mongiardo’s fiancé on the podium with him at Steve Beshear’s victory party last month knows otherwise. Yet these sick, desperate right-wingers continue to slander him.

Bunning also made bigoted comments against Mongiardo’s Italian heritage. In response to Mongiardo’s dark features, Bunning declared that Mongiardo “looked like one of Saddam Hussein’s sons.” Even more bizarre, Bunning later went on to declare that Mongiardo’s “thugs” had assaulted his wife.

Kentucky can certainly do better than these two and hopefully will oust Mitch next year.

As for accusations that bloggers were unfairly attacking a 12-year-old, Ms. Malkin wrote on her blog, “If you don’t want questions, don’t foist these children onto the public stage.”

Yes, they belong out of sight in workhouses…

‘Mr. McConnell, I beg your pardon, sir! America’s children have asked for more!’

There was a general start. Horror was depicted on every countenance.

‘For more!’ said Mr. McConnell. ‘Compose yourself, Ms. Malkin, and answer me distinctly. Do I understand that he asked for more, after they’ve received the care allotted by the system?’

‘They did, sir,’ replied Ms. Malkin.

‘That boy will be hung,’ said the gentleman in the white waistcoat. ‘I know that boy will be hung.’

With apologies to Dickens.
