It’s Sunday morning, so it’s time once again to let the FOX News panel of Brit Hume, Mara Liasson, Bill Kristol and Juan Williams to get their wargasm on. It’s absolutely disgusting to watch Brit Hume and Bill Kristol get all flushed and turgid while discussing bunker busting bombs and America’s military might trying to scare all the other nations straight. Big talk from overcompensating little men who are all too brave with other people’s lives.

maybe we should ask blackwater if they have time and can use bush’s immunity to:
bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb fox news………
We need to start using the word “Treason” a little more often in this country. Because that is exactly what is occurring on a regular basis. What events or people would you use the word “Treason” to describe when talking about events in recent history.
Bush. PNAC. Terrorist Spending. Missing Millions. ETc ETc. I’m sure there’s more…
Treason isn’t a bad or inappropriate word. It is a word that is used to protect the United States of American and the Constitution in which we live from tyrannical or foreign powers. Use it.
We should scare our European allies?

12. Since both permanent war and heroism are difficult games to play, the Ur-Fascist transfers his will to power to sexual matters.
This is the origin of machismo (which implies both disdain for women and intolerance and condemnation of nonstandard sexual habits, from chastity to homosexuality). Since even sex is a difficult game to play, the Ur-Fascist hero tends to play with weapons — doing so becomes an ersatz phallic exercise.

Russia said any American attack on Iran would be an attack on Russia. Reading between the lines: If the US uses nuclear-armed B2s to attack Iran, Russia will launch nuclear weapons at the US.
the war agenda will continue after the next election, even if democrats are handed the reins of control.
thats why blackwater is so confident to expand its operations
thats why the military has 14 permanent bases in construction
thats why the US is building a gargantuan embasy
thats why all the expansion of executive powers have been signed
thats why all the curtailments of the Bill of Rights have been passed
Nothing changes if follow the same phony left/right paradigm of approving the same pre-selected list of think-tank CFR, Trilateral, globalist frontmen/women.
President Bush’s disturbingly flip comment last Wednesday about Iran and World War III not only revealed his apparent comfort when discussing global conflagration. Bush’s gaffe also showed the common vision between himself, the man most likely to succeed him as head of the Republican Party and those who advise them both. For George Bush, Rudy Giuliani and the likes of Norman Podhoretz, the only dispute about “world war” is whether we’re already fighting it and what number we’re on.
For the details, see:
“Bush and Giuliani on the Next World War.”
Precedent: Media-Personnel Complicit With Advocating Unlawful Activity, Adjudicated With War Crimes
“Free speech” doesn’t protect advocating illegal warfare. The problem with attacking Iran, as was the case with Iraq, is there is no imminent threat, as required. Other nations may lawfully attack the US and those in position of policy making and advisory positions. Advocating an illegal war, and broadcasting that illegality could mean Fox news guests are implicated in war crimes. The same was said of broadcasters in Rwanda on issues of Genocide: Radio personnel in Rwanda were adjudicated with war crimes for advocating unlawful activity, as these Fox Guests appear to be doing in re Iran. Or is Fox news saying only some media needs to be responsible and accountable?
Fair and balanced. Ha! Just don’t talk about it: “Do it”.
I’m not a violent man, but I’d sure [deleted - do not advocate violence here.]
Well said by Nicolle Belle. These neoconservatives are morally and emotionally bankrupt not caring in the least if many thousands of innocent Iranians are killed By America’s bombs. As in Iraq, if the U.S. goes ahead and bombs Iran, more Muslims will once again flock to the cause of the terrorists. Yet, despite the belligerent stance that the Bush administration has taken, Congress has shown very little hesitation in giving Bush authorization, again as in Iraq, to wage war against Iran. It is way past the point that Congress starts acquainting itself with Article I Section 8-Powers of Congress, which states, among other things, that only Congress, NOT the executive branch, can declare war. Simply another example of why impeachment seems to be the only way to ensure that Bush and Cheney do not end up causing more death and destruction around the globe. Impeach-now.
dadams @ 1:
Naw, Bush’s immunity is already spent on bombing AlJazeera…
what is more scary neocons still have so much presence on t.v. newspaer after iraq disaster.
Why are NPR commentators and “journalists” doubling as FAUX NOISE commentators?
Because NPR is a propaganda outlet, just as FAUX is.
Which is why I no longer donate to “public” radio, except community based radio (such as the excellent WERU.org, in Blue Hill, Maine).
Never ceases to amaze me that the people that promote wars, and death and murder, rarely partake in it……..you know what they say:
…When the rich wage war, it’s the poor who die
I took this occasion to link up an appropriate L7 song over at my blog that only my cats read.
But to what “Hello” said… You really don’t have to even read between the lines. It is right there in black and white. That is a good thing because there seems to be a certain lack of reading comprehension among wingnuts.
Erroll @ 11:
Why would the Congress impeach? They are willing collaborators to these crimes.
The people have to impeach the Congress and the Executive.
The only way that is possible is a mindset of 1776.
Its a government of oligarchical criminals.
Fox is State Sponsored TV.
It’s fuckin’ TREASON. Bill Kristol, Rudy Guiliani, Rove and all these chicken hawk fucks who were too scared to fight until now. That sexual reference to what these guys are doing is exactly right. And Larry Craig sickens me too, putting down Bill Clinton over a little enjoyment. The connections between the Bush Family and Nazi Germany. The Bush Family and Saudi Arabia. The Terrorists and Pakistani ISI. I mean come on. This stuff isn’t fiction. It sucks to have to discuss. But the truth is important here. Uncomfortable as it is. Speak.

Agent Provocateurs working for the FOX Propaganda Information Network.
They’re arguing over the moral imperative of bombing nuclear reactors in Iran.
Think about the consequences…
And then remember Chernobyl…
This is what they espouse.

How can Kristol even try to posit that only the U.S. can attack with such “shock ‘n’ awe” — has he never looked at a globe and noticed China, Russia, or even Pakistan? He’s like a blood-filled tick, except lower.
Fox is State Sponsored TV @ 19:
All of the networks are state sponsored TV. The elites own the media and the corporations that advertise on them. Google Operation Mockingbird. Some media forms are more blatant than others in their propaganda.
I can’t decide if Juan Williams is a fool, or if he genuinely thinks he serves a constructive role in this idiotic, biased dumbshow.
Either way he’s being blatantly used. He’s the designated foil in a propaganda effort aimed at facilitating yet another failed war. They may as well stick a dunce cap on his head labelled “Token Librul America-Hater”. The only reason he’s there is for the neocons to sneer at. Kristol’s fatuous smile after he attacked Williams’ position speaks volumes - fuck reality, forget the fact that they are actually talking about beginning a new war which will be exponentially worse than the colossal 4-year fuckup in Iraq. As long as the Neocons can score a few cheapass debating points in ‘Fair & Balanced’ (read ‘Unfair and Unbalanced’) terms, all’s right with the world.
Jesus, the condescension Kristol and Wallace display toward him - I hope Fox pays Williams a lot of money, because he comes off as the designated house n*gger. How can anyone watch this and not throw up on the goddamn TV?
Oranqutan:
I agree. the only way to stop this build up to an illegal war is Impeachment! And we have to remove the obsticle to impeachment; Nancy Pelosi can be replaced while in session. Please read here and write your Representatives to urge them to push for her removal.

Layne @ 10:
A cream pie would fit the bill quite nicely…but oh wait:thats so “uncivilized” -not like dropping a bunker buster on an Iranian Hospital for example.
pinkobait @ 26:
I disagree. Kristol wants a war? The US military should invade his office, and bring with them a uniform that will fit him, complete with parachute, then take his bloodlusting ass, throw it outta an airplane over Iran with a sign around his neck that says…”I’m American and I’m here to kill all your women and children.”
No where do I detect any sign of military service on the part of Hume or Kristol. Or maybe I am I remiss in this regard because they certainly are “in the army” of typical republican chickenhawks. Hume is a bonafide draft dodger to boot with his Vietnam deferment. Similar to Romney’s view of service to country could it be that Hume and Kristol believe that being “unfair and unbalanced” wingnut talking heads on Fox (bad) News is service to their country? Are Congressional Medals of Honor in store for them?
[deleted]
Not that it would do any good. Kristol and his shit-stained cronies have been sneering and preening about the certain success of regime change, democratization, the search for WMD’s, the necessity of torture, maintaining Iraqi unity, the Surge, trashing the constitution, etc, you name it, for 4 years.
Nothing will wipe the smile of this bastard’s face. He didn’t just drink the Koolaid, he invented the recipe. It flows in his veins.
Hello @ 6:
China back Iran as well …..
Ron @ 4:
Apparently so …….. I’ve doing what I can there to sever ties with the US any way, and anyone who doesn’t do what the US wants gets threatened, it’s the american way.
FOX: “If you liked Iraq, you’re going to LOVE Iran!”
Fuck War.
kablooie @ 32:
Amen.
It’s all just a big game of “Risk” to them…
I join #10 above in not being inclined to violence. However, I would make an exception were I to have a chance to administer a very swift and hard kick to the place where it would really hurt on both Hume and Krystol. And when they were bent over in pain, kick them again in the chicklets. The shame is that they don’t read C&L and learn what real people really think about them. Far too many of the talking heads are carrying Bush’s water. Twitty, Timmy, everyone on Faux,
Limpberger, et.al. What a sorry state the media is in.
kablooie @ 32:
I’m not anti war, I’m pro peace.
What you focus on tends to happen.
great brit
I mean twit
explain to the iranians
how bush is just bluffing
heh…
Nicole, why are you uploading clips from the Onion’s website ;-)
google kristol being pied and you’ll see it’s happened before. It should happen everyday.
Speaking of bombing, now that I think about it, what bothers me about Kosovo is the fact that Clinton was such an opportunist. He could have done something about the genocide earlier, but he chose to wait until most of the Albanians there were wiped out, so that he could “save” the day, when he was just cleaning up the mess. I really don’t want a wife to a guy like that to become President-especially because she only stayed with him for that specific reason.
I’m convinced that the entire point of the bomb Iran stuff is just noise to obscure the myriad other problems the administration has. The more news time is spent on the Iran nonstarter, then less time there will be for Telecom Immunity stories and discussion. When talk of Iran comes up, it means the administration is very weak and/or timid on some (other) point.
So, Brit Hume apparently thinks that after our humiliation in Iraq that Iran is going to be scared of our threats to invade them? We really do have enemies out there in the world, and they’re just aching for us to destroy ourselves by overreaching. Does Hume buy his own hubris about the kind of shock and awe only the American military can bring? We’re hardly a threat to anyone at this point.
The token female thinks that it’s such a shame that our allies haven’t been supportive? What fucking world is she living in? What makes her think anyone in the world is going to support another American military endeavor?
And Bill’s upset that his Kristol Ball is being questioned about intelligence. (”Here we go again?” Yeah, here we go with your tired, old world view again — the one that has ruined countless lives while you sit in your air conditioned offices and spew punditry.) Does Kristol realize that virtually in one breath he both defended Hume’s call for open threats AND shot down William’s call for openness to the Congress?
And as for that Israeli strike — regardless of how one feels about Israel, one of their specialties has always been solid intelligence and surgical strikes. This last horror they engaged in in Lebanon is the only war they feel they have lost. Because they gave up their usual precision for neo-con-style shock and awe — just bomb the shit out of everything until the people submit. What? They didn’t submit?
Look, you neo-con-men chickenhawks, you want to have laser-like intelligence to prevent nuclear proliferation, and precision strikes to prevent nukes from getting into the hands of terrorists? Fine by EVERYONE! It’s the wanton, careless, incompetent, chest-thumping, deadly, destabilizing, illegal wars we don’t want!
Oh, right. It’s the WARS you DO want. Everything else is just icing your poisonous cake.
Juan Cole is

anyway
heh…
shouldn’t these guys be in church on a sunday morning instead of doing the devil’s work?
i’m just sayin’ it just seems a bit strange that christians should be kissing these guys’ boots, dontcha think…?
EH @ 41:
bring it on bush
heh…
It appears that the State Department needs 40 to 50 diplomats from the US Foreign Service for openings in the new US Embassy in Iraq. No one seems to be volunteering and a call up will be needed. Maybe Kristol and Hume should volunteer . Experience is not a requirement as experience was not required for people that were part of Paul Bremmer’s ReConstruction team.
The people in this video all give the impression that they Just Need To Get Laid. As an alternative to the “fuck war” concept, I hereby propose: Blow-Jobs For Peace. This way, nobody gets hurt.
Yup, the nimrod Fox News journalists still have the man-love to bomb Iran. And not a lick of any of those nimrods served in the military!!!
That question posed by Kristol at 2:45 is ludicrous.
To paraphrase - Did an Israeli strike on Syria, which apparently took out a nuclear reactor, make the Middle East more safe or less safe?
I can’t believe he was serious. Turn that around Kristol, imagine if it was Syria attacking Israel or if it was some country X taking out an American nuclear reactor. Do you really think that the world will be safer and there would be no retaliation by the side that got attacked? War breeds more war Mr. Kristol, end of story.
