This really is beyond the pale. Even after Dennis Kucinich reminds Hannah Storm that his wife, Elizabeth, is a professional woman, and then relays his wife's Master's Degree in International Conflict Resolution, let alone her vast charitable work in Africa, the CBS talking head persists in asking to see the tongue stud.

The Kuciniches are to be commended for politely telling her, in so many words, to stuff it.

You can let CBS know what you think of Hannah Storm's so-called journalism here.

someone should obsess about hannah storm's birthmark and the makeup she uses to cover it up.

These people need to get out more. Its a tongue ring for Christ Sake!!!!!
That was cool and taboo in 1995. Its not a big deal. I bet 3 out of 5 teenagers ages 14 and up have one.
GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

F Hannah Storm. What a tool.

Gale Storm

she was so ET

hannah needs her ass kicked. what the hell kind of question is that? it's amazing that she could even pronounce ahmadinejad's name. she's not qualified to wipe kucinich's ass.

by the way, i've seen hannah's piercings. they're not pretty. can we say turkey?

Tongue stud!? Give me a break. You need to add "Twit" to your bio on the CBS site.

Maybe its this simple... Maybe Hannah Storm is not the professional journalist she thinks she is.... Nothing more relevant to ask comes to her mind than some B.S. question about a tongue stud huh....pa-the-tic.. given the stakes on the line these days..

Maybe Hannah needs to get a gig on entertainment tonight... I hear they're all about that fluff shit.....JD

Dennis will host a live, nationwide conference call on Monday, November 5th, beginning at about 7:30 p.m. (Eastern Time), to announce what will be happening in the House of Representatives this week regarding the Cheney impeachment resolution – and to ask for your help.
The call-in number is (641) 715-3300. When the operator asks for an access code, key in 324341#. The call is open to all interested citizens.

One wonders if Hannah Storm has a master's degree in journalism or in the art of asking incredibly banal questions. If only Ms. Storm had half the intellectual acumen that Mrs. Kucinich possesses. Another example of the dumbing down of the American media.

Oh C'mon, Hannah Storm is hardly a journalist, she's just an entertainment anchor...

Hannah's ignorance and benightedness was more than repugnant. It was frightening. We have a president giggling maniacally about World War III, a presidential candidate addressing that threat with earnestness, and Hannah is dedicated to trivializing him... ugh!

hannah's so sexually repressed, she must focus on the tongue ring. WTF? she should go back to being a mediocre sportscaster

Sarkosy had the right idea. Simply get up and walk away when the dumbed down, borderline retarded media insist on asking stupid, trivial questions. Too bad Kucinich didn't do the same.

However, let's keep this in mind: These are morning "news" shows. I'm sure right after Kucinich was finished, Hannah simply shifted over to cover fall fashions and holiday cooking secrets.

Kucinich is my favorite for president, and he was back in 2004 as well. But... I'm afraid crap like this probably does hurt him. 30 years younger definitely makes it look like she's in it for the money, which reflects poorly on both of them in some people's minds.

Personally I don't think it matters, but enough people will.

I think this couple would work miracles for our country. Unfortunately the people of this country aren't smart enough to elect them. I wish I could be more optimistic.

Frist??
Hannah learned her questioning technique from Timmeh the UFOhole

(hangs head in shame for the frist attempt)

Stupid questions.... omg.

Just loved how she talked down to Elizabeth as if she was a child or simpleton. Elizabeth's IQ is probably twice hers...

This reminds me of the time 'OBAMA IS A SMOKER! OF CIGARETTES!' was all over the 'news'.

These people know nothing of journalism. They are fear and smear idiots who belong on page 16 of the Inquirer, not on a national news show.

Also: Ms. Kucinich is freakin hot.

Aays a lot about the two Americas in that interview.

"Hannah Storm" i.e. corporate tool (last time I saw here she was gettting verbally bitch-slapped by Albert Belle in the '95 pennant as a sports dyke)

The Kuciniches i.e. the rest of us poor sons of bitches, who have to put up with the 1-percenters "let's treat you like a monkey for not being Abercrombie and Fitch.

You're kidding!? Hannah Storm is a 'Professional Woman Anchor'?

Moonves pays her for this crap?

He and she deserve to be thrown out on their asses

On the plus side, she at least restrained herself from asking about the UFO. That would have really sent this "interview" into the toilet.

Jesus Christ on a stick that talking head is as dumb as a f'ing post.

Wow. Another reason why the MSM continues to trivialize itself.

God, what a vapid TV bimbo. Our media is so god damned embarrassing.

"Hannah Storm" is such a porno name.

Well, that's our MSM. No substance at all.

I really didn't know that Elizabeth is so educated, experienced, and that she's British! Never heard her speak before. Well done.

"Can we see your stud?" Boy, talk about a 10 year old mentality.

That was reminiscent of my first (and hopefully only) experience at a Star Trek convention, where the guest speaker Nichelle Nichols was asked stupid, stupid questions about her and William Shatner kissing in one episode. Hannah Storm, will you get a life?!! Will your network get one too?!!

Kucinich is awesome. And Digdug, "in it for the money"?? Are you serious? What money?

"No you can't." Well said, Elizabeth.

J.C. @ 23:

Personally, I think Kucinich kind of stuck his foot in it on this one.

I've seen UFOs. Several of them at once hovering over our cars. It was an incredible experience unlike anything else I've ever seen.

BUT, if I were running for president.... uh, I'd keep that under my hat. It just doesn't play well.

What we missed and well worth focusing on was the "when you talk to Ahmidinajad or get to third place we'll have you back. So there you go." Kucinich is a little joke to her.

Talk personally with leaders from other countries, come on. What a joke. Tell me about that tongue ring.

How can this country continue to function when it's the dumb leading the dumber?

At some point, the US house of cards will fall.

cubejockey @ 21:

Very true. One side of America is concerned about putting aside our differences to fix a broken nation and the other is more concerned with trying to find more ways to throw wrentches into the gears. "Well, he may have some very important ideas but let's focus on UFO's and tongue piercings!"

I'm sick of the caste system. The Kucinich family are treated like shit while the media does puff pieces on repub women like Laura Bush

In related news, Nancy Grace has apparently spawned. I hate that woman.

Now there is a phrase I would like to hear more often asked of stupid reporters with stupid questions.

"Are you serious!?"

Old Billy @ 31:

Kucinich is awesome. And Digdug, "in it for the money"?? Are you serious? What money?

"No you can't." Well said, Elizabeth.

I didn't say she was in it for the money. I just said that is how it's going to appear to a lot of people.

Paul at 16 - Congratulations! You've won the "Highest Post Number Who Thought He Was Frist" award - no need to hang your head in shame! But you might want to look into more memory for you computer.

Such as, "Exactly how much Prozac does it take to numb the horrid depression of being married to one of the most atrocious humans on the planet?"

"The Kuciniches are to be commended for politely telling her, in so many words, to stuff it".

Nope. They're should be scolded for being too damn polite.

Peace.

I was thinking perhaps Ms. Storm wanted to see it for her own reasons. (not that there's anything wrong with that :)

her name is hannah storm?? (forgive me, i do not watch this CBS "news" drivel, and i am unfamiliar with this empty vessel posing as a news model)

anyhoo, kucinich is--by far--the best man for president running today. and the fact that the media attempts to embarrass, belittle, mock and humiliate him only shows that he scares the corporate establishment to the core.

Kucinich 08

Space Coyote @ 46:

OMFG that was funny. Zing!!

Forget what you see on TV.

Go out and create what you want and need.

Samson- @ 49:

They do this to Edwards too - that "Breck Girl" crap. Since the media seems to have already annointed Hillary as the Dem nominee, they have no problem belittling anyone else in the field, really.

Erroll @ 10:

Hannah used to do the Houston Rockets Halftime show, a long time ago... I was blissfully unaware that she was still on the air until I saw this clip.

Dennis and Elizabeth are great, they handle the idiocy of our national media with grace...But if we had any truth in what our media was doing Hannah would have just asked "can I just say the word 'shit' over and over again during our interview?" - that's about the quality of her questions, she should be ashamed of herself!

It's all Entertainment

Ugh. That's what passes for a serious interview? I could give a rat's patooie if she's 3 decades younger; she's a helluva lot more accomplished than many women twice her age.

Thank you, Mr. Kucinich, for validating your life partner without inserting one iota of paternalism or patronization.

We're entertaining ourselves to death.

OT:Speaking of stupidity....I tried, yes I truly did try, to watch Faux Noise Brit
Hummmmm Report this evening; but after less than 5 minutes I was so angry
that I turned it off. Brit was reporting on "how well things are going in Iraq"
and his primary basis: The fact that the number of Iraqis attempting to enter
Syria has reduced substantially.
What a fool Brit is; that or he has his head up his ass. Within last two weeks,
as reported in the NYT, Wall Street Journal, NY Post, Washington Post and other
print media, Syria has officially shut down/closed it borders to ALL Iraqis citizens
attempting to gain entry into that Country..and in fact, has imposed a new regulation whereby those estimated 1.4 million Iraqis already within Syria MUST
return to Iraq and seek new 3 month visas if they want to remain within Syria.
I have never, never in my lifetime seen such dishonesty/misinformation and just
plain LIES as those reported on Faux Noise. That channel is a complete disgrace
when it comes to journalism and is most certainly not fair and balanced.

my note to cbs:

Hannah Storm's interview this morning Dennis and Elizabeth Kucinich was incredibly stupid and disrespectful. How far broadcast journalism has fallen!

i've stopped watching this show as well as gma and the today show. they're just more bricks on the road to idiocracy.

Look, this is problematic. However, as much as the daily show ``FLILF'' interview amused me last week, was that a reasonable thing to put forward for Mrs. Kucinich? I agree that a Daily Show `reporter' has a different set of standards than one for CBS News, but isn't that a little problematic also?

DigDug @ 15:

In it for the money? Elected representatives and presidents don't make that much money. More than most in the working class, but clearly not gold-digger money.

I know what your saying, however, do you really think this is something that wouldn't come out ? Now, if he had never shared his "experience" with anyone, yeah, keep it too yourself. But I have a hard time imagining keeping it quiet if I ever have the same encounter. I thought he handled it as well as could be expected.

Cmon, it's TV.

You expect more?

Matthews, OReily, etc. Circuses all.

I'm so sick of this librul media!

Hannah was doing sports the last time I saw her, on a different network. She was an eye candy sports anchor when she was with CNN.

Here she sounds like she is trying out for a spot at Fox Noise.

Last time I watched any of those shows were back in the day I was waiting for my school bus to arrive, over twenty years ago. These shows never appealed to me.

Well, get ready for overpaid idiots to dictate the next 4 years framing the debate with this assholery.

That and when we've got the GWOT on!

I'll vote for Dennis before I'd vote for Hillary.

Disrespect rears it's head once again. Democrats shouldn't stand for it.

if only we could see real news programs. in south america, europe, mexico the news is dealt with in the main by intelligent journalists, not blonde bimbos and they talk about issues, not tongue rings and britney spears.
the internet and some publications are the only source of news now in the u.s. even pbs has been watered down by accepting gov't money. thanks to bill moyers for coming back out of retirement because of his dismay on lack of journalism in media.
too bad we don't have a fairness doctrine anymore. now the stupid can't stumble on facts occasionally

Thanks for the link to the CBS comments section.

Maybe Hannah should go back to doing sports.....on second thought, she was awful at that as well.

Every time I see and hear this man, the more impressed I am. America and and the World would be a more safe place of the Kucinichs got into the Whitehouse. What's it gonna take to get Dennis on the ticket??!

bluegal (or anybody else ifin ya know the answer) - What show was this on exactly? The link given has many to choose from.

I'm a little disappointed to Dennis' response to meeting with Ahmadinejad. What he should have said is that you can't conduct foreign policy by acting like a spoiled 5 year old and refusing to talk to your enemies. True statesmen act like adults, not demagogues.

Hannah Storm, CBS News Model...and she's got the porn star name to match.

To (loosely) quote Jon Stewart himself, if you want to compare CBS News to a news show who's lead-in is South Park, go right ahead.

She ain't no kinda gold digger...
Denny Kucinich be a broke, er, dude...

Human @ 75:

I take it no one knows. Which means not many are clicking on the link given, yet they don't hesitate to take the time to comment. Whatsa matter with America? Too many whiners and not enough doers.
NEXT!

Maybe Hannah can ask Laura Bush how many botox treatments she has had next time she is on.

Just as well she didn't ask to see Dennis's Prince Albert!!!1!

calguy @ 60 - The Daily Show's "FLILF" sketch was a calculated satire of just this kind nonsense. If you don't recognize that Elizabeth Kucinich was in on that whole routine from start to finish, you may need to tweak your reality detector a little.

I'm surprised she didn't ask if Elizabeth had any tats to go along with that tongue stud.

Maybe she should ask Laura Bush what it was like to kill her boy friend when she was young and wild.

Hannah, did the labotomy leave a scar? And if so, can we see it?

Tongue stud: 4 questions.
Masters degree in international conflict resolutions: 0 questions.

Hey, don't knock it! Paris Hilton gets out of a car without any underwear, and exposes her cooter, and she gets front page news, coast to coast for a month. Bush and the 109th Congress eliminate Habeas Corpus, and the MSM doesn't say a word about it until Michael Moore brings it up in a movie.

I think she should SHOW that stupid tongue stud! Considering that all of the headlines he's gotten so far are about the UFO and the pointy ears, showing his wife's tongue stud will probably tripple his numbers in the polls! If she's got any rings below the waist, she should show those, too, and it'll make him the nominee for SURE!

Don't vote for Dennis BECAUSE:

He's short!
He said the word IMPEACHMENT!
His wife is younger than him, hot and has a tongue ring! *Gasp*

Does that about cover it? I swear, that Hannah Storm made me feel like I was watching TRL.

Gore/Kucinich/Obama/Big Bird/Anyone but a ReThug '08

I'm a conservative, and if Ron Paul loses then I'm fully supporting Kucinich over anyone one of those 7 other warhawks on the republican ticket. If Kucinich doesn't get the democratic nomination, then god help us.

You wouldn't see this drivel on Al Jazeera English!

You're right. This is totally "beyond the pale".
The U.S.A. gets what it deserves.

I love the way Storm appeared incredulous and pointedly skeptical that anyone would support diplomacy and/or talking. I take it then that the attack on Iran is inevitable? Sweet Georgia Brown.

Too many bush hoes on the tele.

You gotta love Dennis Kucinich. He's single in 2004 and the media picks on him for being a short, eccentric little guy and then he comes back in 2007 with this young, smoking hot 30 year old wife. Way to go Dennis!

OK Hannah, next time you interview Laura Bush ask her about the time she killed a man who was riding a bike.

Hannah: "Can we see it?" Translation: I'm glad nobody know I wear a vibrating butt plug all day!

Elizabeth: "No you can't sorry." Translation: this bitch must be wearing a vibrating butt plug!

This idiot interveiwer has definitely had her brains pierced with a stupid stick. It goes to show that 3rd grade mentality shouldn't be used with intelligent people beause their stupidity becomes obvious.

Go Dennis!

HAnnah Storm. I need to remember that name. It's helpful to avoid assholes.

PaulF @ 92:

I love the way Storm appeared incredulous and pointedly skeptical that anyone would support diplomacy and/or talking. I take it then that the attack on Iran is inevitable? Sweet Georgia Brown.

It also seemed to me like she didn't believe he would realy talk to ahmadinjad, and was trying to call him out by asking if he would set up a meeting with him now. Just goes to show how much she really just doesn't get it, or understand anything about Kucinich.

While she's at it, why doesn't she ask her to make out w/him on camera?
She went to the ITT Tech School of Journalism...

Isn't it obvious that the MSM believes it knows what's best for America and it isn't Kucinich or Ron Paul ? Look at the absolute bullshit questions that these two have to put up with in debates and interviews . Hannah Storm and Tim Russert aren't morons for asking this crap. They're simply doing what they are told .

I agree. Our democratic process in this country has been bought and sold.

wow Storm's tone was so condescending the entire interview. What a bitch.
