Tancredo takes his fear-mongering and hatred of brown people to a new level of disgust with this ad.
There are consequences to open borders beyond the 20 million aliens who have come to take our jobs. Islamic terrorists now freely roam U.S. soil, Jihadists who froth with hate here to do as they have in London, Spain, Russia.
The price we pay for spineless politicians who refuse to defend our borders against those who come to kill.
How can Heath Shuler co-sponsor legislation with someone that promotes so much fear in our country? Sentido explains the Trancredo/Shuler bill, also called the “Save Act.”
Blue America is working with several groups in Chicago to help hold Emanuel accountable. We’ll have more on that soon, but we’ll need your help…
No Trackbacks To “Tancredo’s psychotic ad! Shuler should be ashamed to align himself with him!“

Elect me…or you will die!
ps., I’m not a terrorist.
This is even beyond Goldwater’s “Daisy” commercial. The only difference is that it is borderline laughable. I understand the threat. I understand the consequences of an open border. I also understand the economic impact. But to equate illegal mexican/south american workers is beyond being reason. This seems more like a last ditch effort than anything else.
Tancredo needs to have a word with Dubya. In the minutes and days following 9/11/01, Dubya vowed to protect our borders and ports.
We all know how that worked out.
im scared shitless!!! i tells yah!
Help, the paranoids are after me.
You mean that young man who mows my lawn is a terrist who blows up malls on the weekends? Save us, Tom.
For some reason, this just makes me think of the classic movie, Canadian Bacon.
Robert Crush @ 2:
BOOGA BOOGA BOOGA BOOGA!!!!!!!!!!
Be afraid, be very afraid.
Look, whats so surprising? The Dems are just as much chicken little cowards as the Repugs.
They both cower in fear over a non existent threats while the real threat gets funded by their very actions.
Back packs are the problem.
Death to all who wear back packs!!
I’m sick of the media giving eugenics advocates like tancredo “security dad” cover
vague message of
foreigners taking jobs = terrorists
Go Tancredo!
Alienate people from outside this country!
Republicans are constructing their own demise.
Just look at any census.
Will there even be a Republican party in 50 years?
Tancredo is just another cosponsor:

gop = fear
whatever
Hatred of brown people… hahah
I love brown people
I didn’t see anything about brown people in the ad. What about Canadian people? It said “borders”, not our southern border. Did I miss something?
i love it!
desperate people are known to render desperate deeds…………..

Was that Tim McVeigh or Eric Rudolf in that hoodie? We don’t need to look any further than the American right to find terrorists willing to kill Americans. And if Tancredo is right that there are all those Islamic terrorists roaming our streets, then what good does he think the NSA illegal wiretapping is doing?
Oh for Christ’s sake.
Tancredo, I reserve this comment for only a select few, and you’re one of them:
Go straight to hell.
This whole culture of fear is getting so old, it’s moldy. I’m sure the kinds of sons-of-bitches that brought us this ad will next look at how convenient another anthrax “attack” would be. Yeah, and while they’re at it, wouldn’t it be nice to ratchet up the airport security bull-crap to continue instilling fear and terror? Perhaps those ball-point pens could indeed be tiny atomic bombs?
Damn these people.
Well I posted about Ol’ Heath some time ago here:
‘Heath Shuler, Bush Dog Democrat’
And if you dig into the comments you will find several people taking me to task for ‘attacking a Democrat’ their rational was ‘….he’s way better than the ReThug he replaced…’
To which I can now safely reply, ‘Really? What planet do you live on pal?’
Shuler is turning out to be just as good a politician, getting in bed with the Tancredo Wing of the ReThugs is beyond stupid, as he was an NFL quarterback.
You can check his NFL stats at my post…..
Heh…..
Then: “We have nothing to fear but fear itself”.
Now: “We have nothing to OFFER but fear itself.”
Any questions:
So why did the Republicans and Bush and Cheney let these terrorists into our country? I thought we were fighting them over there so we wouldn’t have to fight them over here.
That had to be an SNL skit.
These people are just plain nasty.
Vote Tancredo Because We Just Don’t Hate Enough.
Was Tancredo pushing this sort of legislation two years ago when the Republicans controlled the government and could have had any legislation passed? If he didn’t, he’s not sincere about the issue and is just playing politics.
If these people were fanatical and even slightly capable, they would make runs on US airports every once in a while in front of departing or landing passenger planes, blowing themselves up in US malls, buying rocket propelled grenades on US black market and shooting at the busses, planes or sky scrapers (if there are hundreds of thousands of guns on that market, there are at least thousands of RPGs which they for some reason don’t buy, and the reason they don’t buy is because the nature of men is not to kill mindlessly) They are the fighters, trained and armed like soldiers, who prefer to fight on a battle ground of Iraq and Afghanistan, and they do it only because we create the battle grounds. In other words, the war on terror is about to end very soon because too much money has been wasted and the killing nature of man is nowhere to be found on our soil. Freedom and prosperity seen on the streets of US is the last thing a terrorist wants to become a part of and taste before a strike, for him the Iraqi desert, Afghani mountains and woods are the way to go, and EVERY American can’t help but admit that those would be pretty much the logical and right places for a fanatic to be in, and end their lives in the name of responding to F-16 strike or Blackwater killing. There are 5 thousands flights over our nation at any given time during the day, 2615 days have passed since 911. That would give the terrorists 13 million 75 thousand chances to realize the Republican dream and strike us where it hearts most, yet they don’t do that for the most basic of reasons. I guess it’s time for the mind altering, flashing, psychotic TV ads to do their work for them.
Men.
The only act of accountability that is going to register with these people is voting their asses out of office.
I’m convinced they no longer serve America or it’s Constitution.
I don’t think you realize how many of us Life Long Democrats are with Tancredo on this issue. All the democrats in my neighborhood are with him on this one issue. And my father came here on a banana boat!
Symes @ 10:
While this is true, only one of the parties that you mentioned uses as a PR campaign. When you think of fear-based advertising, pretty much only one party comes to mind.
This Tancredo ad just reaffirms the Reagan from earlier today.
Christian54 @ 32:
I would be hesitant to claim such a thing after that goofy commercial. Out of curiosity, how many such people are there?
He left out homosexuals and man/dog hybrids.
Sorry, that was not “psychotic!”. It’s kinda par for course these days. Remember the wolves commercial in 04′ by the R’s? That was very good ad for what its intention was.
I’m sure it’s already been said but…WTF?!
Tancredo’s platform is be afraid and rest your head on my lap? Seriously, does that work?
Then again, this ad will offend about as many as it will impress. That can been seen as a positive.
Both the ad and the fear-mongering Tancredo epitomize the GOP. The smart boys of the republican party have distilled their marketing strategy radically during the past 27 years. It hasn’t been morning in Amerika since November, 1994, and there’s no turning back. Today it’s flash-and-fang, slash-and-burn, ’round the clock. Come to think of it, there’s a fair amount of honesty in marketing where that image is concerned. All because that’s the kind of people they are, and always have been, and always will be. Ads of this sort will serve to introduce a lot of other people to some pretty ugly ideas, espoused by a pretty ugly party. That’s the upside.
Just the latest offering from the Party of Hate.
DavidtheDuke @ 37:
I often thought that the ad should have ended with the wolves attacking and tearing apart the flag, the constitution and a country inhabited by brown people.
Is this guy an asshole or what. And he has the gall to talk about hate. There is nothing more hateful than a republican racist.
Anyone who believes a political ad deserves to be ruled by whatever rich turd wins or fixes the election. For the last seven years it has been Bush.Next time …who knows? One thing remains constant. These assholes do not represent the people,.
nor does the press, the senate, the congress, the governors of the states, nor the houses and senates of those states.I`m cynical, yes, but it looks as though I might as well give up the ghost and accept my suffering because it`s not likely to stop very soon.
Good night and good luck.
Greg @ 38:
The rethugs have been doing alot of that — resting head in lap hsit.
I don’t support his stance but I do understand. Shuler faces the same problem as my Rep Nancy Boyda. I went canvassing in a neighboring county the Sat before last following a ‘50 state strategy: one year out event’ (I volunteer and/or work field in every election) and knocked 50-60 doors or so. Out of the 20 or so that were home every single one listed immigration as their most pressing voting issue. Every one of them.
Lou Dobb’s Disease runs rampant in many parts of the country. Either they get on the bigot train or they will not get re-elected. It’s really that simple.
Jo @ 44:
shit! shit
That was actually just a very bad ad. It didn’t resonate at all……….
Perhaps Amato needs to describe to us not seeped in “liberalism” what exactly he finds wrong with the ad. I’m going to assume it’s just the 24-style scenario and the sound of the explosion and not the underlying facts.
Because, tens of thousands of people from “SpecialInterest” countries have snuck into the U.S., a couple smugglings rings for MiddleEasterners have been broken up (including one that - shock! - bribed a Mexican official), and two Hezb. members were arrested after having snuck into the U.S. a year earlier. And, both Dem and GOP Congresspersons have warned about TerroristInfiltration, such as by MiddleEasterners posing as Mexicans. And, there’s a significant % of Latin Americans that are Muslims and there are even terrorist areas in Latin America.
For more, how about reading the 911Commission StaffReport (not the main report), or this PDF. Or, see my category just about this issue.
I voted for Heath Shuler. I live in Henderson County, NC, and before him there was Chas Taylor. When Shuler got in, we thought in our naivete that good times were coming. We’d never heard of Bushdogs. When he joined Bush in the first big war vote, we wrote him to say that he was supposed to serve us and that he got voted in to end the war and stand up to our dictator. We told him that we’d never vote for him again. (We got no reply, of course.) But what do you do come the next election and he’s the Democratic candidate. You got it. We stay home. This whole voting system is sick and sickening. I’ve written places asking what to do about it, and gotten no reply, (just I got no reply from Gore’s outfit concerning the mercury now seeping into landfills as thousands of spent fluorescent bulbs release their toxins into the earth. Not connected? Sure they are. We live in a system too big and too impersonal to work.) Q: how do you vote asses out of office when they’re the only bums lined up for the seat?
TLB @ 48:
I don’t support Shuler’s position but I understand what he’s facing. It’s the same as my Rep Nancy Boyda.
I went canvassing Sat before last following a ‘50 state strategy; one year out party’ (I volunteer and/or work for a campaign every election) and knocked about 50-60 targeted voter’s doors. Out of the 20 or so that were home every single one of them listed immigration as the most important voting issue. Every single one (except for the one whose boyfriend screamed at me that he’s a Republican and hates Hillary and all the Democrats and chased me out of his yard, but I’m sure had I the chance to ask him his answer would have been immigration too. That or gun rights. lol).
Here in the red states Lou Dobb’s Disease runs rampant. Either they get on the bigot train or they will not get re-elected.
Unfortunately it’s really just that simple.
Damn. this threa
