It looks like the end is nigh for Freddie of Hollywood's campaign. He has decided for an "all in" stance for the January 3rd Iowa caucus evidently. His New Hampshire campaign operation is folding and he has failed to even get 500 signatures to place him on the Delaware ballot. Considering his standing is falling drastically in Iowa, (and Huckabee's are skyrocketing, leading to some fairly nasty direct mails from FDT about Huckabee) things aren't looking so good for the "Law & Order" candidate.
Watch this less than flattering portrait from a Columbus/Cleveland news station (apparently, he's underwhelming Ohio too), featuring our good buddy Cliff Schecter. When was the last time you can remember a liberal politico like Cliff being asked to comment on a Republican candidate?

Ha ha Fred Thompson if funny . . . and it is funny that he was supposed to be the Prodigal Son for the underwhelming Republican field. Now the questin is "Is Alan Keyes really running for President?' Wtf? I went to cnn.com today and the picture for the story about the repub debate has Keyes picture. What?
'wether we go down the the european path to socialism and a welfare state, where we will become weaker and weaker' ??
I guess thompson wants to go down the path south american banana republic states where you torture and disappear your opponents and the rich get richer??
Another presidential candidate has been excluded from participating. The Des Moines Register, which apparently is sponsoring the Iowa debate, has barred Dennis Kucinich from taking part in the Iowa debate, citing as a reason that Kucinich does not have a full time paid staff operating in Iowa. One would have thought that a free exchange of ideas would have been encouraged by those who have organized these debates around the country. Perhaps the last thing that the major candidates wish to have happen, even among the Democrats, is to have their positions challenged, at least by the rare times that the moderators of these debates actually deign to call on Kucinich to answer a question.

The media was acting like he'd enter the race and win it all, but it seems being lazy doesn't equal the Presidency.

There seems to be some flame to this Keyes presidency, lol. Keyes, a man who withdrew his daughters college education funding after she came out to him as a lesbian. In all fairness, Fred's had very poor handlers/advisors.
For example, letting cameras shoot his face. THAT face! He should only be photographed from the rear.
And speaking! He SHOULD NEVER SPEAK, even when spoken to. He needs a 'dedicated speaker', like Bush has Perino. Fred should have...uh...uh...well, how about Daffy Duck?
He should never be on time for his appearances, of any kind, personal, TV, other media, whatever. The later he gets there, the sooner he'll leave, and the less time people will have to see him. That's a big PLUS!
And, lastly, he should have low expectations. He deserves them, he'll get them, and the final disappointment will be less.
Man-o-man! I can't remember one thing he said. Not one stance he took. What a lackluster guy. Where are all those white-haired ladies who would just die for him!

Something to consider - Thompson started fund raising for a second Senate term but never ran. He gave the left over money to his son to be a "media consultant" or something similar. I think if you look at his campaign's lack luster performance one could think that this was just a way to raise some money to funnel to his family. No serious attempt to win. Just a ploy to get some handouts. That's my thought. The whole campaign was a ruse to get some money.
