When asked her opinion of the winners and losers of the final GOP debate in Iowa before the Iowa caucus, Rachel picked surprise upset Alan Keyes for at least having the intellectual honesty of displaying just how crazy the Republican platform is without all the euphemisms to make it palatable.
I don’t think host Chris Matthews appreciated Rachel’s sense of humor all that much:
You are causing trouble here. Because you are… I would like to put you on…I would like to waterboard you right now, because there’s no way on God’s earth you believe that.
Oh, Tweety, has it really come to this?? Now waterboarding is a joke to threaten guests with whom you disagree?

For closet cases like Tweety, “waterboarding” has dual meanings.
Seriously, someone should start a waterboarding group to go around and offer to waterboard some of these public people that so flippantly aggrandize and support waterboarding. If they don’t think it is torture… than why don’t they do it themselves? Oh, by the way, we have a board and some water over here. Lets waterboard you and you tell me if you think its torture or not after its been done to you.
Get it on camera. Imagine getting someone like Romney or even Tweety to say no I won’t be waterboarded on camera. What are they afraid of?

haha, well everyone knows that was a joke, and rachel’s answer WAS pretty ridiculous, so I guess it sort of fit the current stupid debate about whether waterboarding is ‘torture’ (can you believe that people are arguing that it isn’t?).
What I want to see are all of the news people that support torture like Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, and Glenn Beck, or if he applies, Tweety, and put that on paperview to see if they can get some money for the stations.
Tweety has no sense of humor, unless you include his incessant nervous guffawing over Hillary. He’s got a severe case of misogyny. How this individual has a regular stint on any “news” program is beyond me. Or did I already answer my own question?

I remember when I saw Alan Keyes (never have heard of him before) and he interupted the moderator I thought he was going to bring some santity to the debate. He managed in 30 seconds to appear crazier than any Republican candidate.
Only a conservative freak would find “waterboarding” humorous. No wonder the world is going straight to Hell under them.
What a disturbing man Matthews is. He invites Maddow, an intelligent and articulate outsider, on his show, then gets obviously pissed when she gives an intelligent and articulate outsider response to his banal question.
His “joke” about water-boarding was grotesque, and not a little chilling. If our country every degenerates to a fascist state, you know whose side Tweety will be on.

C’mon, people, Tweety was clearly trying to make a joke. He didn’t succeed, but he wasn’t threatening Maddow. He was questioning whether she really believed what she had just said or simply trying to stir things up.
I’m surprised Tweet hasn’t said . . . “Rachel, when are you going to stop being a man hater, start being the woman you are, as God obviously intended, your lower and upper assets are all the proof you need, have you looked in the mirror lately ” . . . or something of that nature.
Maddow is getting bigger in Tweety’s zone and the more liberal and progressive it gets it will scare the chickenhawks and their minions away and put Tweety out to pasture.

Matthews has no soul or principles, he’s a corporate hack brown nosing his bosses by smearing any Democrat or Progressive he can and pimping for Republicans. It’s clear, the guy doesn’t believe a single thing he says, it’s all posturing so he can keep his job. He’s good at what he does, unfortunately, his job isn’t journalism, it’s paving the way for Republican corporatists to deregulate media ownership restrictions at the FCC. After watching Matthews for years, I finally gave up and I haven’t seen his show in a month. I have never felt better.

Well I don’t like to judge on an individual basis, but I do think that Republcans recruit members out of the gay children arena. Take Jeff Gannon for example. And of course the well known Franklin Cover-Up documents the children associations where these monsters prey on young boys. Sick. Sick. sick!!!
The sooner we start dealing with the reality and the sickness of these individuals the sooner we will get our government and country back from these people. They can deal with their problems in the private sector and we can start correcting their mistakes in the public sector. :)

I am not a fan of these “Washington insider” shows, when you have opposing opinions on the same show it is no different than a rowdy classroom and nothing is really being heard through the crosstalk. It is noise, like any fox noise programming.

Sorry, I don’t think that gays are dorks, most that I know aren’t. I have however, known some that are ruthless greedheads. There’s nothing that says a gay person can’t be as selfish and sociopathic as any hetero. It’s just that if I see a gay, a woman, blue collar worker, middle class or poor person supporting the Republican Party, I’ll highlight the fact that they’re working against their own interest and are possibly a hypocrite.

Chris Matthews has been hammering the “cakewalk In Iraq” zealots for four years now. He knows he was duped before the invasion and he is pissed. He was one of the first main steamers to do shows focused on returning and injured soldiers from Iraq. He has had Amy Goodman on numerous times. Great to see Rachel Maddow on his show.
