Mike Gravel Still In The Race, Demands Apology From Olbermann

Once again, the Mainstream Media has not gotten the facts straight.
MSNBC pundit Keith Olbermann has incorrectly declared that Sen. Gravel has dropped out of the race following the January third caucus in Iowa. This is not true, and Sen. Gravel is still an active member in this race. We are requesting that MSNBC and Keith Olbermann retract their statement, and issue an apology to the campaign for promoting blatantly false misinformation.
Whoops! No disrespect to Mike Gravel, but I can't help but think of this very classic scene.

Easy Gravel! Unlike most, he has been able "to stand corrected" and many times will do so to himself.
Mike Gravel should also apologies for entering the race in the first place.
Keith Olbermann is one of the few people in the media who, I expect, would and will likely go on his show and unselfconsciously deliver the apology Mike Gravel asked for. Keith appears to be a stand-up guy who really does consider the facts to be at least as important as the "emotional narrative".
Mike if it makes you feel any better, no one knows you're running to begin with.

As for Gravel v. KO: I could declare my intent to seek the nomination tomorrow and by tomorrow I'd have had as much impact on this race as Gravel's had. You can't drop out of a race you were never in. Gravel didn't even qualify for the race. He probably couldn't even get in to the stadium with a ticket. Gravel has a point, but it's not the point he thinks he has.

Gravel is not trying to become president; he is simply trying to disseminate his (unpopular) ideas as much as possible. I, for one, am glad that he keeps groping for the spotlight since he is, arguably, the most entertaining.
The longer Gravel stays in the race, the better.
Mikes always been fiesty. He's a real fighter. A real warrior. He went after Nixon, tried to end the draft during Vietnam, broke the pentagon papers into the public.
The Dems don't want him to be heard. You can bet on that. I'm surprised MSNBC tried to "finish him off".
But you know how the Corps are.
There are a few things Olbermann should apologize for, but this is not one of them. How can Gravel drop out of the race if he was never really in it to begin with?
WaPo still shows him as "in," although on the Republican side they still show Alan Keyes, too.

The last thing that Gravel's colleagues and the so-called experts in the media wish to acknowledge is someone who keeps the other candidates honest and brings up ideas and opinions that are rarely heard on the campaign trail. Mike Gravel is ignored because he speaks the truth. He has exposed all the other candidates hypocrisies and lies. Yes, he is a bit kooky and so is Kucinich. Being kooky doesn't mean one is stupid.
Well, the clip is more appropos for what could happen to me and millions of other Americans - not mention people around the globe of all nationalities -- if we end up with Obama, Edwards, or Clinton in office.

Mike Gravel was restricted from about half of the debates because the corporate-owned war-profiteering media didn't want his controversial views to reach the public. It was censorship, plain and simple. No wonder nobody knows who Mike Gravel is. Hell, I didn't know who Obama was before he entered the race. But Obama has plenty of money, so Obama got to speak at all the debates.
It's too bad the best presidential candidates are silenced and then sent packing. There's just no respect for the man who single-handedly ended the military draft and stopped nuclear bomb testing in Alaska. What has Obama done? I dunno... What has Clinton done? I dunno... Neither of them can present a clear, definitive answer to any question posed to them, so I have no idea what they'd do as president, if anything.
Gravel was banned from quite a few debates because "he didn't raise a million dollars in campaign contributions". It's all about the money. If you've got money, you don't get censored.

But I think phantom is on to Gravel's motivations, even if I don't agree that Gravel should remain in the race. Gravel had his brief moment in the race, right at the starting gun, and his message didn't resonate. Hopefully others will pick up some of his messages and run with them, giving them a chance(but not that flat tax meme, thank you). Gravel, though, has come up lame.

It is not all about the money. That's just the excuse. If they really don't like what you're saying, they figure out ways to cut you out.
