McCain’s Double Talk Express: A Day at the Beach

John McCain faulted the Bush Administration in August of 2006 for not being honest with the American people in their rhetoric leading up to the War in Iraq, but who else led the American people to think that the occupation of Iraq would “be some kind of day at the beach?

That’s some straight talk there, boyo. Hard to believe he’s so popular with anti-war independents.

By the way, in the ongoing drama over the Washington state Republican caucus, it appears that the WSRP chair Luke Esser has a very cozy relationship with McCain’s state campaign chair.  I’m just sayin’….

McCain can’t win…just like Clinton can’t win.

It is the ultimate poison..this war ..and those fouled with the stench of american and iraqi blood will pay the political price.

Next subject please…McCain doesn’t even exist for his own party!! Let alone us!!

Let’s focus on making sure Obama isn’t a FULL member of the military industrial congressional mediatainment big pharma complex and does SOME of the things he says he will!!

Hold Obama to the fire, McCain is nothing!!

Americans have had 7 years of disaster and yet another war-monger is leading in some polls.

The question you have to consider is…

When is the world’s hate for the American government going to turn to hate for Americans in general?

But, but, according to the Corporate Media, McCain is double-plus good, i.e. he’s a “moderate maverick.”

OK, McCain was once a POW. He is also an awful candidate. Watch him make misstep after misstep; gaffe after gaffe, and sink, deeper and deeper with each passing day….

I felt bad for McCain when Bush and Rove crucified him in South Carolina in the 2000 campaign. I don’t feel sorry for him any more…

The Republicans are getting EXACTLY what they deserve in their candidate:

FULL support for Bush’s Iraq Policy of Occupation-to-Infinity… and

A BLANK SLATE on this country’s ECONOMY.

17
Lisa Says:

Antiwar Independent here and I wouldn’t vote for McCain if he was the only on on the ballot. A one-time war prisoner who favors endless war? I believe we can and must do better.

McCain lost my respect when he kissed Rove and Bush’s ass after how they treated him in South Carolina.

Don’t you all understand? It’s “moderate” to support the continued permanent occupation of Iraq. Anything else is extreme.

Why do the independents support them why?
also, according to a earlier post Mccain can’t even exist within his own party much like liebermen can’t even get his own party to support him. Just hope there is no play for these Mr greys

If your not for bombing Iran and killing millions while embroiling the middle east in an endless spiral of violence and poverty, you must not be a “moderate” as defined by the Corporate Media.

Really his campaign slogan should be “Banzai” which literally translates as 10,000 years. Of course, if every single soldier were pulled out of Iraq today it would take 100 years to pay back the money that’s been borrowed to pay for this little adventure. Perhaps thats what he means. By the way, now that Romney is out of the race, his five sons are no longer urgently needed on the campaign trail. Shouldn’t they be available to volunteer to serve in Iraq. Maybe someone should remind them.

Bush is the ideal president for the MSM. Stupid and violent. They bring the best news stories. Both Iraq wars were goldmines to Wolf Blitzer (sent generations of little Blitzies to college). So you better believe Spitty Matthews loves him some Rudy and McCain.

Let me turn this into an ad:

McCain is a maverick. He’s independent and his views are versatile. His flexible beliefs allow him to work with our Christian leaders to build strong relationships with our Faith community. He has many strong points of our current president and he’ll continue the to fight terror on many fronts to keep our fuckin country safe as fuck.

Vote McCain 08 , or Die

I can’t for the life of me figure out why anyone would have anything bad to say about my favorite war hero, Mad Dog McCain. I mean, what’s a little cluster bombing and napalm got to do with it? I’d like to stay in Iraq for the next hundred years myself if I had the time. Furthermore, the Mad Dog has even convinced Baby Caligula in the White House that he’s the man for the job. What more could you ask for? Get out and vote!

Yes, and unfortunately there are 50 million of these neandrathals wandering around in the gene pool. Outside of how many beers they have in the fridge and how many cubic inches they have under the hood they have virtually no concept of the nation’s national debt - now in the trillions, the human costs of our nation building, the spiraling costs of our economic infrastructure and the total disregard of our nation’s constitutional foundations. They can only relate to an alpha male (white anglo saxon neandrathal) that exhibits the same traits they do. They are more then happy to travel the same road to nowhere as they have for the past 7 years.

I never thought I’d see C&L become a shrill for the MSM but what else am I to think. Please produce one of these alledged anti-war independents that support McCain ’cause that’s an animal I haven’t seen yet.

41
Ian McGarrett Says:

We were welcomed as liberators. By some. Certainly the Iraqis in general had issues with the liberating force but the problem now seems to be the even greater issues they have with an occupying force. Truth is, this wasn’t a war of liberation but a war of conquest, a war to steal another country’s resources and to impose a radical political agenda on the conquered, an agenda founded on deceit, greed, fear, bigotry, hate, and a depraved indifference to the suffering of others.

42
grumpyoldvet Says:

the democratic consultants on TV never ever contradict the “maverick” meme….they dare not cross the “he’s a war hero because he was a POW”…..there were many POWs during WWII and suffered much more at the hands of the Japanese than McCain ever did under the NVA inh Hanoi, especially once they found out he was the son of a high ranking admiral,….they for some reason do not mention his 90% approval record from the American Conservative group…..and to independents and democrats who won’t vote for Sen Clinton or Obama, don’t complain when you help elect the “Maverick-in-Chief”….

43
goatsage Says:

Pre-emptive warfare on the part of the “roots”. Keep it up folks! Don’t leave it up to the DLC or the DNC to beat McCain. They haven’t got the creative talent to come up with this kind of devastating stuff.
WE are the ones who are going to have to play rough to take back our government.

Of course he is. Ever heard of the Keating Five? Just another little “gift” to the American people courtesy of Ronnie Reagan.

The more I hear about McCain’s comments, the more I’m inclined to believe he’s in the stage of Alzheimer’s where you can’t cover it up anymore and say the person is functioning in their right minds.

A favorite quote from H.L Mencken. Who do you thin this describes:

His distinguishing mark is the fact that he always attacks his opponents, not only with all arms, but also with snorts and objurgations—that he is always filled with moral indignation—that he is incapable of imagining honor in an antagonist, and hence incapable of honor himself.
