Let’s start a word counter for the many times John McCain says: “My friends” in his speeches. He seems like he uses it after every sentence and it’s as phony as a three dollar bill. <correction> Is Limbaugh or Ingraham his “friends? In one of the most uninspiring speeches I’ve ever watched—I think I heard some weird chanting going on in the crowd of McCain’s supporters too. Wow, almost cult-like. And what’s with that glassy look in his eyes? Jack Kemp wrote a piece that appeared on Townhall—begging Conservative talkies to get off McCrazy’s back.
You gave him your best shots and he took it like a man. Now, as he heads toward the nomination, I urge you to continue to be critical, but to do so in measured ways that will not damage his ability to win in November against those who would weaken our nation’s defense, wave a white flag to al-Qaida, socialize our health-care system, and promote income redistribution and class warfare instead of economic growth and equality of opportunity.
It’s Kemp that’s waving the white flag to the Hannity’s…
No Trackbacks To “John McCain and ‘My Friends’“

“…to win in November against those who would weaken our nation’s defense, wave a white flag to al-Qaida, socialize our health-care system, and promote income redistribution and class warfare instead of economic growth and equality of opportunity.”
There it is ladies and germs - the conservative agenda for all to see.
The number of votes he has been getting compared to Obama and Clinton tell me all I need to know about his chances to win the election.
So I don’t really care what he says or does, he will lose.
A two dollar bill is legal tender. You should have used “as phony as a three dollar bill” But then that would give him an extra phony dollar!
Umm…I think you meant three dollar bill. But yes, it’s as contrived as can be. I had noticed McCain’s ‘my friends’ shtick a few weeks ago. He says it so often, it’s almost impossible to get a clip of him without it.
What a pandering , desperate , pathetic old man who will do anything to try and get elected to the office he and his horseshit party have disgraced , should never be allowed into again , and does not deserve ………….

Phony as fiat currency.
Ladies and Gentlemen…..Johnny McCain and the Geritols!!!
Looks like night of the living dead on stage with him . He might be a little more inspiring when that metemucil kicks in , but I really doubt it . The best of the best on the repub side , how pathetic .
It looks as though the new sloganeering for the Repubs is catching on. First it was “cut and run”, now it is “waive the white flag to Al Qaida” and “surrender to the terrorists”. I guess these were the winners with the focus groups. I guess its a lot easier coming up with some catchy phrases than actually going out and catching the people responsible for attacking us. But then again, there is a whole lot more money in making war than keeping peace.

Somebody needs to nail McCain on health care… HARD.
His grandfather and father were in the military, and the Senator was born on a Military base in the Panama Canal Zone.
He is a lifelong beneficiary of single-payer government health care (Born on a Military base, Child of a Navy Admiral, Served in the Navy, then as a Naval liaison to the Senate, then in the House of Representatives and then the Senate)… HE HAS NEVER BEEN EXCLUSIVELY IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR and HAD TO PAY FOR HIS OWN HEALTH CARE OR EDUCATION (Naval Academy).
And he has the balls to stand up there and decry the “socialization” of health care??? GEEEEEEZZZZZUSSSS, what a freakin’ hypocrite.
All the rest of us want is the same access to health care and education that you’ve had all your life, Senator… you know, the same way every other civilized, affluent nation does it.

While we’re on the McDewey-Cheetum-And-How thread, has anyone found threads for McMoron’s Annapolis charades? How about his military record and the rumor that he was responsible for killing marines (collateral damage). Guess with Pappy McBrass (Admiral) to cover his butt, his checkered career might resemble that of the Chimp?
Is it the early stages of dementia or……..ONG! Mystique is real! I wonder where she dumped the real McCain’s body?
Ron @ 33:
Hell NO!
We only have two and a half hours before the terrorists strike!
I heard that many veterans of the Vietnam War have a nickname for John McCain—and it is “Songbird.”
Whereas other POWS have taken bullets before singing away American secrets, McCain acted like a songbird in giving vital information away which is said to have caused up to 60,000 more deaths.
McCain is a “Songbird.”
Some “commander-in-chief” he would be alright.
McDepends and McCreepy are good ones. McDementia is another….does anyone have an update on McBoosh’s invasive melanoma by any chance? From what I read, he may not have even one term left. It’s a very nasty cancer and invades one’s internal organs as it spreads, turning them all black. Just wondering…..One would have to question his ability to handle a term of office if undergoing serious chemotherapy.
McCain is so obviously uncomfortable speaking that it is painful to watch. And the “my friends” is beginning to grate. He jerks around and doesn’t know quite what to do with his hands. Someone is very apparently holding up an “applause” sign when they think it is necessary as his speeches are not worthy of any applause. His imprisonment definitely took a toll on him. And BTW, I don’t consider McCain a hero. I don’t know where that ever got started but please tell me what he did to be called a hero? He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. End of story.
Obama will work for change.
McCain will need to be changed. Regularly.
