After McCain won Ohio and Texas—Tweety said this a few minutes ago:
Matthews: If you look at the box this year it came in, which is marked “change.” It is ironic that the man who represents the least change is in the solidest position to be the next president right now.

See that caveat at the end, “right now.” I’m pretty sure thats a reference to the fact that the Dems are still, unfortunately, slugging it out. That position is going to be a lot weaker once on of the Dems is out.
People keep underestimating him but it’s starting to feel a lot like 1988. We still have
plenty oftime to unify and go at him effectively.Tweety also just said that parties don’t win the WH back when there’s a recession. He’s a schill but not a total one…

yeah, i hope he means in context of the current dem neck-and-neck thing. because Dem turnout is through the roof and about 1/3 of people are still voting against McCain even though he won. I think either Dem will clean this idiot up once some light is shed on his poor behavior the last 5 years. Selling yourself out to win is not that endearing.
I saw matthews say this. He was literally babbling. He was expressing his hope. No one knows the future, certainly not this moron.
I find it amazing that a matthews has the nerve to run an ad for his show stating, “politics is about ideas.” The last things this dick head discusses on his show are issues and ideas! The show is nothing but a forum for political gossip and endless, pointless speculation about the future.
This is just a precursor for what is to come–an all-out campaign to get another Republic moron elected so that we can have perpetual war, tax cuts for billionaires, poisoned air, water, and food, and surveillence of ordinary Americans who see through the lies and BS and speak out.
If anyone thinks websites like C&L will exist 2 years into a McCantankerous administration they’re whistling in the dark.

If you’ve ever watched Hardball you would witness Matthews slobber and get a hardon whenever McInsane appears on his show.
If McCain takes the presidency, I will have lost ALL faith in this nation… once and for all.
The numbers do not agree with Matthews.
If you put the Democratic and Republican vote totals in the same column, McCain is usually in 3rd place - behind whomever lost on the Democratic race. And usually a distant 3rd. At this time, this observation holds true for all 4 of today’s states. I don’t think it’s just reflecting apathy in the Republican electorate - McCain is really far behind. So what is Matthews smoking, and why won’t he share it?

Hillary doesn’t care how much damage she is doing to the Democratic party. All she cares about is her own quest for power. And Bill won’t give up until she is in the White House (and with him by her side.) The two Clintons are doing a good job of electing a Repubican to the White House. Maybe Hillary is looking to be on McCain’s cabinet. This is so sad. The Republicans will be out campaigning and the Democrats will still be trading insults and fighting for first place. At one time I would have voted for either Hillary or Obama but really have some doubts now about Hillary.

I think some of this has to do with the fact that if the election is a runaway as it is likey to be, people will not be glued to the political shows to find out what the latest is. Its all about eye balls.
