Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice testified about the proposed fiscal year 2009 budget for foreign operations. The topics included foreign aid, foreign services personnel, increasing energy prices, Russia, and the war in Afghanistan and Iraq.
However, it only took one sign behind her shoulder to get past all the spin.

Have we ever had such an ineffectual SOS? Although, in her defense, maybe the problem is that she has President Godzilla as a boss. Guess, it’s hard for anyone to shine under Bubble Boy, especially since he pretty much screws up everything he touches. Most bosses don’t like their subordinates to look better than them, so obviously that sets the bar pretty darn low.

What’s really sad about this is the dilution under which well meaning people who are against the activities of your government, that ANYONE will be tried for war crimes. Who’s going to try them - the US Supreme Court? Maybe if the US hadn’t pulled out of the World Court, and thumbed its nose at International Law there might have been some slim chance…
