Joe Lieberman Offers To Be The GOP's Zell Miller In 2008

The Advocate:

U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman, I-Conn, told the editorial board of The Advocate and Greenwich Time he's supporting Republican John McCain for president because he's the most likely to bring about change in Washington.

"He actually, in my opinion, will bring about more change than the Democratic candidates because he's a boat-rocker . . . a problem-solver," Lieberman said of McCain. "He's really a reformer."

Friday, Lieberman said he will attend the Republican National Convention this summer, "if Senator McCain thinks it will be helpful to be there in some capacity." Read on...

The Independent Senator from Connecticut leaves out the real reason he supports McCain -- he's a warmonger and wants to stay in Iraq for 100 years and bomb-bomb-bomb Iran, just like Joe. McCain is not a reformer anymore, the Maverick is dead and gone. Lieberman is part of the McSurge triplets currently stumping for McCain in Iraq, I think the GOP will gladly extend an invitation to him for his service to the party.

Good grief. Lieberman-the most famous backstabber in America. Which way is the wind blowing Joe? Ah, tis blowing north........what an idiot.

I still can't believe this is the same idiot that was on the ticket with Gore in 2000...

He will make his grand entrance on a giant papier mache' float of a Summer's Eve douchebag that is pulled by 4 jackasses.

The Dems look like jerks...AGAIN.

"Independent" is such a phony label - from Joe Lieberman, Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, Lou Dobbs - ALL phonies. Everyone knows who's water they carry!

Joe Lieberman is not a Democrat, not even an Independent - he is a right wing war mongering, tax cutting, ass kissing Republican.

Once the Democrats take control of the Senate in 2009 - he should be stripped of all committee assignments and be assigned a parking place somewhere to the west of Manassas.

Lieberman is banking on McCain winning the nomination so he can get a job in the Administration.

He can't win in Connecticut again, and he knows it.

Ha! I'm going to Shanghai that one. Thanks for the laugh.

'McSurge triplets' (hee hee)

By all means, let McCain/Lieberman run on the Bush BushChange BushBuddyCanYouSpareSomeChange platform.

Dear Republican Party,
You can have this bitter old untrustworthy ugly attention whore. We don't need his ass anymore.

[deleted - over the top. sitemonitor], Joe Lieberman.

I'm quite sure the people of Connecticut who voted for him are very proud right about now.

No wonder Gore lost-- so will McCain if Liebermann is running as V.P.
Unless Diebold fix the 2008 election [:-(

Next time you hear Lieberman speak, tell me he's not the guy who did the voice of Droopy Dog.

Didn't Hillary and Schumer support "Chinless Joe" Lieberman over Lamont in the last election?
Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

He has that Jowl action going on, too. That's why Jon Stewart does such an awesome impression of him!

Met his wife, she's really pretty. And nice.

It is clear that Lieberman is supporting McCain simply because McCain is a big Lieberman supporter of the idea that a war with Iran is a good idea. We will not to to war with Iran until we have sufficient carrier presence in the 5th Fleet area. Will Bush bring that about prior to this fall? It seems the odds are 50/50 that we will.

Right now the USS Truman (CVN 75) is in the Persian Gulf. It is scheduled to return home in June. The USS Nimitiz (CVN 68) is off China, it just linked up with the USS Essex, (LHD 2) an amphibious assault group, and is capable of being in the Persian Gulf on short notice. The USS Lincoln i(CVN 72) s leaving in a couple of days to go to the Gulf. It will be followed, probably in May, by the USS Reagan (CVN 76). We need three carriers groups in the area to attack Iran. Traditionally we have had one such group except for a few weeks when a replacement carrier overlapped the one there.

It is rumored that Admiral Fallon resigned because he saw there was an intent to increase our carrier presence in the waters around Iran.

It is also suspected that a flare up with Iran leading up to the election will be beneficial to those intent on preserving the Bush legacy.

It is the coming together of the McCain and Lieberman (and Sen. Graham) combine; Pastor John Hagee a McCain supporter with his Christians United for Israel group ; and the Bush and Cheney Legacy Preservation Cabal that makes war with Iran the 50/50 probability.

Watch The Carriers and you'll know which way to place your bets.

I believe that a majority of people who voted for him were Republicans. They well may be proud of him. Most of my friends who formerly were Republicans have become Independents. The Republican party has become a party of religious nut jobs who want to bomb anyone of a different religious persuasion and control public discourse and spend money like drunken sailors. They're the American Taliban, but in Walmart clothing.

The Israeli government wants us to stay in Iraq for a hundred years or so.

Joe is a warmonger.

It's not complicated folks.

F U holy joe!

Hillary supported Joe Lieberman.

Just one more reason I will never vote for her.

Okay, okay, so McCain and Lieberman both want the U S to stay in Iraq, but their reasons are based on their loyalty to different countries.

Wow...Joe's really pissed that he's no longer a superdelegate, isn't he??

The funny thing is that Lieberman has always been constant regarding his conservative stance.

And no amount of PowerPoint (or is it really Keynote) presentations will change the fact that Gore was a founding member of the DLC, you know the same group that decided that the best strategy was to out-conserve the GOP themselves.

Men like Lieberman and McCain are not leaders. They are followers and that is painfully obvious. They do not "rock the boat" they simply go with the flow. If anyone does "rock the boat" those two are the first ones to jump to the side of the boat that is the furthest from the water and we have seen many times where they did just that.

This country is in the shitter because of the bush policies. McCain wants to keep the bush tax cuts (this week anyway). He voted for torture, even when he has campaign videos reminding us how he was tortured. He voted to eliminate Habeas Corpus. He voted against SCHIP. He worries more about how violence in Iraq will effect his chances of winning the WH than how many of our troops will die. He wants to stay in Iraq and now Afghanistan for a hundred years. How exactly is McCain the one that will bring change? Lieberman is nucking futs and since we don't have enough votes in the Senate to pass anything anyway, they should kick his ass out.

Fluffer....ok, so he can go down on his knees to any republican wagging a war in his trousers....

What else can he do? Nothin'!

I always found it a bit of a logical fallacy, that if the Christian God is indeed omnipresent, omnipotent, and all good. That if he/she/it needed help in bringing forth a ending plan that involves destruction, death an pain at a massive global scale.

The he/she/it must be neither omnipotent, not omnipresent, and most definitively not all good.

Omnipotent beings do not need help from 3rd parties to effect their plans.
Omnipresent entities can actuate anywhere without help either.
And all good beings most definitively can't inflict pain, in account of pain being... you know, bad.

But what the hell do I know, trying to use logic. After all, god acts in mysterious ways indeed. Which I also did find ironic too. Because religious peeps seem to assume God is not understandable when it comes to them having to pass any sort of litmus test for logical coherency... so if you don't understand someone or something, how can you be certain and speak in lieu of them regarding of what they want/need/desire?

But now we are just discussing which part of a fecal dropping smells the least bad. The shiniest part of a shit is still that; shit. But that is just me....

call me nutz but they are a perfect match for each other.

mccain and LIEberman are, truly, like lovers entwined in a climactic embrace, shuddering in the after-glow of blissful passion.

and, this is good for the democratic candidates. both 'men', mccain and LIEberman, are easily lampooned for the ironic and paradoxical slogans put forth by their merry band of henchmen.

mccain considers himself the straight talk candidate, but has made a practice of mincing his words, embracing those he disagrees with and, well, lying like a fucking rug.

LIEberman sells himself, and talks up, the idea that he is some sort of uniting politician. He believes he is able to bring dems and reps together, when, in reality, people can't run away from this guy fast enough. like some sort of leper from the 17th century with a bell around his neck people know to steer clear of this radioactive and pathetic worm.

which it makes all the more a gag when these two war-spawn come together in mutual masturbation, pretending that even their followers believe the snake-oil they peddle. they are a complete joke, a sad and pitiful joke, but a joke nonetheless.

How did this nut job end as Al Gore's running mate?

Okay, everybody, we need to flood Harry Reid's office with emails, faxes, phone calls, demanding he strip this SOB of all his committee assignments. Zell Miller wasn't in a position to do any damage when he went on his rant because the ReThugs were in power.

Thanks, state of Connecticut, not for being the "Nutmeg" state, but being the state of nuts that re-elected this clown to his Senate seat so he could extract revenge on the Democrats. He succeeded beyond his wildest dreams, and now, he should be stripped of his assignments, because he hasn't voted with the Democrats anyway.

Stunts like this are way Chris Dodd should be Senate Majority Leader. He'd run Lieberman out on a rail.

I can't believe he's available for the GOP convention.

Lieberman is closely the Senate mentor to Obama once you all unserstand this many will agree to just say. " Keep the Change " .

I believe that we owe this dog excrement a vote of thanks, and while we're at it, let's give our thanks to the good people of connecticut who in their wisdom returned him to office. all right, elmer, and now, let's hear it for connecticut.

Let me just say this. Joe Lieberman is an insufferable, lying slimeball who has, through his votes and political support, personally caused the deaths of almost 4000 American soldiers and over a million Iraqi civilians during this unnecessary, preemptive, and bloody War. And he has the gall to call himself a patriot. He is a gutter politician who has lied to himself and this country. If he had any decency, he would commit seppuku.

They seem to be having trouble with the sound system in the hall where Obama is to give his speech. To hear the talking heads on tv talk about this speech, it's do or die for Obama. I just do not believe that.

Joe Lieberman, asshat, eater of dog excrement, please go to hell.

This is how I imagine a converstion between God and Jesus would be like if Lieberman became McCain's running mate:

God: Quick son! Get in the elevator! McCain now has Lieberman as his running mate and we know that they both want more war.

Jesus: Dammit dad! I'm getting tired of this getting in and out of the elevator crap. Are we going to do this Armageddon thing or what?

God: That depends on the Republicans but it sure looks like they are going to do it this time around.

Jesus: Yea, thats what you said for the last 2,000 years!

God: Just get in there and wait for my signal! Then you go down, rapture the Christians and I'll demolish the place!

Jesus: Dad, I'm still not enthused about the whole rapture thing. I mean, I'm going to be followed by hundreds of thousands of naked people. Have you seen John Hagee naked dad? Its disgusting! By the way, where is mom at?

God: You mean the Virgin Mary? She is somewhere giving Moses a hair cut.

Jesus: Yea, and why do you keep calling her a Virgin. You know your the father.

God: Shhh, not so loud! They think I have no sexual organs or feet for that matter. Have you seen the pictures they draw of me. Hell, look at you Jesus. They think you are white dude!

He was PNAC's plan B. If, by some miracle, bush failed to steal the election and Gore got in lieberman would have been president within 2 months.

EMBA30 @ 78:

Ummm could you be a little more subtle in your choice of words please while I'm eating breakfast?

Thanks. It's appreciated.

Is it me? Or does it seem like a TERRIBLE idea to force the hand of God. I think the bible says Armageddon will start when GOD is ready, not when the Republicans are ready!

These nuts are praying for Jesus to come back. Well, they'd better be careful what they ask for..'cuase this time Jesus is bringin' his Dad with him.

And they're gonna be PISSED!
I bet these sunday xtians are gonna be shocked...SHOCKED I say, when they see that Jebus ain't blonde with blue eyes!
Of course this is all moot. 'Cause there ain't no god, no jebus, and no heaven and no hell...poor deluded morons.

I personally believe there is a hell. Ask a dead Republican, they know the place well.

Can't wait to see McSame pick Joe Lieberman (R-ISR) as his running-mate.

Lieberman is co-sponsoring - with Brownback, natch - a Senate resolution declaring the first weekend in May as "Ten Commandments Weekend."

What a fucking tool.

I though the ten commandments was an all the time type of thing. I don't need someone to post the ten commandments or make a weekend about it. I memorized them. In case i forget, I know where to find them.

They are an all the time thing if you are a sincere Christian or Jew. If you're just a pandering politician, a weekend is all you need.

I'd give them a weekend if they would shut the fuck up about the 10 commandments for the rest of the year.

Alright goddamnit! These holy rollers need to GET THE FUCK OUT of my govt!
They wanna be churchy and shit, become a preacher or whatever. DON'T try to legislate your archaic beliefs on me or anyone. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
