Michael Mukasey’s Tears of a Clown

Making the case yesterday for why the House should pass the Cheney/Rockefeller bill (aka the Legalize-our-Illegal-Conduct Act), Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez Michael Mukasey teared up while shamelessly exploiting the victims of 9/11.

Glenn’s got the full deceitful quote and some questions for AG Mukasey, who he says has “conclusively proven himself to be an exact replica of Alberto Gonzales.”

Oh dear……does this mean he wanted people to vote for HIS BILL. I mean when someone gets a tear in their eye they are “fishing” for votes.

But he and the minority whip are men….when they cry, according to men, it is for a reason. Women aren’t allowed to have emotions.

That’s an insult to clowns. Clowns bring a lot of joy to children and others. Not Mukasey. He even makes the Devil cry.

There are a lot of Oscar winning performances by this gang of thieves. In fact, it’s happened before in America’s history.

Please. It’s

“Crocodile Tears”

For some obscure physiological reason crocodiles shed tears when they eat their prey.

Even as their prey writhe helplessly between the crushing jaws ..

And yeah!

Thanks to all the Dems who helped put Mukasey where he is today.

Heckuva Job Y’all!

Hulk Says:

So now, we, the gullible and ignorant American public, are supposed to believe that somehow NOT having uncontrolled access to every phone call in this country led to the destruction of the Twin Towers?

Please give me a f*cking break!!!

This guy is shameless. This administration is a den of criminals. They all deserve to burn in hell, but I hope we can start the fire before they get there.

Damn them all!!

Just read Glenn Greenwald’s piece on this. What stuck out to me was:

“Bush administration knew about a Terrorist in an Afghan safe house making Terrorist-planning calls into the U.S., then they could have — and should have — eavesdropped on that call and didn’t need a warrant to do so. So why didn’t they?”

A lot of people need to have that question asked of them
under oath

Thanks, now I have to clean the PUKE off my key board.

You just gotta love the idea that our huge corperations can act in partnership with our wonderful goverment and have no liability at all from our laws!!

Laws shmaws - This is FASCISM.

First they came down on nipple ring wearing women…
But I didn’t complain because I don’t have nipples.

Then they came down on the funny hat wearers…
But I didn’t complain because I don’t wear a hat.

WHERE will it end??

26

They would laugh at us and tell us that we have a good government, and that once these people are gone, all we have to do is elect good people, instead of douchebags.

In short, it’s our own damn fault. Perhaps we get what we deserve.

34
JW Says:

What truly surprised me is the fact that audience knew the score. Who did he think he was fooling? Certainly not that crowd. And surely he couldn’t believe this performance would register with Joe & Jill Sixpack. I leads me to conclude the administration has been reduced to appealing on its knees, like Jolson emoting “Mamee, How I Love Ya..I’m Coming Home, Mamee..”. But what the hell. Tears and a quivering voice worked for Hillary in New Hampshire, as she herself concluded. And everyone knows attorney’s are all heart.

Dam, well then I guess that is true of the folks in Dufar and Iraq I guess…
If our goverment was ‘good’ how come we can’t get the bad guys ON THE TABLE???

I think you are nieve and dangerous amego…

The burp ‘thing’ is more believable than any emotional ‘outburst’.

Like he really cares? Collateral damage one day, god’s precious gift another. I mean, that’s just how neo-cons think about human life, in general.

Ideology and objectives trump all else. Peace is war. Buy more stuff.

If there are going to get down on their knees, they could probably figure out something more effective to do than beg. Begging doesn’t get crack whores anywhere either.

I tell you, Paul, I think they’ve already gone the old tried-and-true $uckee $uckee route (”paging Mr. Rockefeller”), and, to their utter shock, it got them nowhere with the House. It’s amazing how fast a spine can grow, given the knowledge that Barak Obama will be the next POTUS, coupled with a stone cold realization that online fundraising has become an very real force in national politics.

Impeach cheney and bush Says:

3,000 died 9/11-so in response Bush has sent 4,000 GIs to their deaths, countless Iraqis deaths, 20,000 GIs with injuries, not counting all those GIs that died in Iraq but not on the battlefield (like being electrocuted in the shower by Halliburton), spied on Americans w/o court approval, used the constitution as a joke, destroyed the economy, and the list continues. Frankly, I think everyone in the Bush adm. should be brought up on charges of crimes against humanity. Only then will future idiots stop and think before a pre-emptive strike. Unfortunately, that will never happen. The best that I can hope for is that are all voted out of office, shamed by historians, and live a miserable life full of guilt for their share of blood-letting.

42
Roket Says:

Obviously the mysterious phone call from Afghanistan is a complete fabrication. He must have been speaking rhetorically, then. Look for the tried and true “I misspoke” meme in the very near future. (They won’t be letting the dust settle on this new and improved meme.) However, they fail to realize that even Joe Six-Pack knows that when you misspeak you lie. Not counting, of course, the 19% blind faith crowd. There is no hope for them.

And which Bush administration official is crying for the loss of the 4000 Americans who went to work in Iraq and aren’t coming home?

Bush is a walking, talking piece of shit, and might as well just go home to Crawford. I think the only appropriate sight for the George W. Bush Presidential Library is downtown Baghdad, and the first trillion dollars raised for it should go to reimburse the U. S. Treasury. Let the Bush/Cheney/Saudi crime family pay for the war.

46
Truth B Told Says:

Mucous-ey was the judge in the first WTC bombing in 93 that suppressed the evidence from the FBI informant that was recorded in secret, of the FBI handler ordering the bombing to go forward with LIVE bombs, versus having the informant use a dummy material…

the FBI was in on it, and knew of it.

They LIHOP.

Doesn’t that contradict itself?

53
Sam Says:

For those of us who can recall history that is 5 years old, part of the reason for the success of the attacks on 9-11 were:

1. John Ashcroft’s insistence on making organized crime a top priority, dismissing the Clinton administration wanrings on terrorism, and

2. The failure of the FBI in DC to read and act upon reports from its own district offices.

It was not a dearth of information, as Mukasey is suggesting, but a deficit of judgment by government executives in the Bush administration that made the disaster possible.
