We desperately need the likes of Mencken again.

Jenna’s wedding? She may be the one getting married but it will be her father waving to the camera. He’s never met a camera he could resist waving to and grinning.

There really is no way I could care less about her wedding plans. The guy she’s marrying looks like he could be Karl Rove’s love child.

Oil hits record $122 on $200 oil prediction, supply concerns.

Very simply put, Bushonomics, as George Bush Sr. defined it, is the continuous consolidation of money and power into ever higher, tighter and “righter” hands.

My prediction is $1,000 a barrel, but it won’t stop there.

Another from Mencken:

It is inaccurate to say that I hate everything. I am strongly in favor of common sense, common honesty, and common decency. This makes me forever ineligible for public office.

A south Florida home was wrongfully raided during the so called “D-Day” drug raids, a total of seven drug raids that went down on the same day. After kicking in the couples’ door and putting the husband on the floor the wife attempted to call 911 and the police would not let her. They were finally convinced they had raided the wrong house and left. I believe one of them may have said “sorry” as they left.
The result of “d-day” was a sum total of 7 million dollars in marijuana. Wow. And can you imagine what it cost to plan and coordinate?

So now all that’s left is to get all the defendants lawyers, house and feed them in jail while they’re waiting for trial, give each their various times in court, transport them there and back, then all the appeals, and finally to keep them incarcerated for their sentence.
So a grand total of 7 million in weed costs what… 30 million in tax payer dollars in the end? Yeah.
Welcome to the war on humanity.
It’s an industry.

It is Disturbing that when Hillary’s campaign office caught fire, every national newspapers and tv reported it. Monday morning Obama’s office was vandalized, where racial slurs are written on the walls, i didn’t see any national media reporting it. Indiana local news paper just published a pic of that with this news-”the vandalism occurred about 2:30 a.m. Monday. In addition to the broken plate glass window and a stolen American flag, racial slurs were spray painted on the windows and doors.” here is a link to the Local news papers.

It is (I would hope) beneath you to link to a site attacking the child of a politician.

You have previously attacked those who made fun of Chelsea Clinton (when Bill Clinton was president). You have previously made fun of hypocrites. Connect the dots.

You think it’s easy keeping a majority of the country steeped in denial?

Nope we do not get together for self sexual gratification. Sorry we can’t help you out there, but if that’s the sort of site you are searching for, you might try some porn sites. This one is about politics and such.

Since you are already talking to blocks of ice, I would think you might want to get some help with that problem before you pursue your quest for sexual gratification.

I can think of a few reasons why we might want to change that now! Clinton and Obama both have good plans (Clinton loses points for the pro-consumption pander though). McCain has none.

Scott Horton Interviews Gareth Porter
May 4th, 2008

Gareth Porter, independent historian and journalist, discusses the war party’s many excuses to justify attacking Iran, how Cheney has been delayed in the attack by Sadr’s ability to strike at Americans in Iraq in response, Cheney’s successful gambit of trapping Rice and Gates into agreeing that the Mahdi Army must be defeated, how Admiral Fallon lost the fight with General Petraeus and his job because he wanted to bring most troops home by 2009 and how the U.S. military has it’s hands full by fighting against the majority of the majority in the Mahdi Army.

Putting her in jail because she’s white is just as bad as if she’s black. The war on drugs has been, always, first and foremost, a war on brown people. Perhaps the fact that she is white (and was put in jail for 10-20 years at age 19 on a first offense back in 1974?) might get some attention from the white decision makers in Michigan. Just saying.

My personal fave of the military propaganda is the commercial depicting service people rescuing survivors of a natural disaster in what appears to be a foreign country. I laughed out loud. What’s that supposed to be? An example of things they won’t do for their own populace? “Join and rescue perfect strangers while your family drowns!”
You’d have to already be suffering from a mental illness to want to enlist today.

Justice is blind, and this gives me hope that it indeed is (at least in Saginaw)!

Maybe because he was killed in december 2001 or there abouts, according to Benazir Bhutto in her interview with David Frost.
