Schoolhouse Rock defines a generation: this morning my third grade son had a school program, during which the students recited the Preamble to the US Constitution. Practically the entire audience of forty-something suburban parents suppressed both giggles and the urge to sing the version above, some more successfully than others.

McCain uses the Hamas card against Obama. Did the gas tax holiday issue help defuse the Wright non-issue? Obama’s staff also blame Rush for Indiana’s results, while Rush now claims Obama can’t win. Chrysler will give you a discount
on gas, if you buy their cars.
And it may survive yet.
Ah..the Constitution…i miss the good ole days.
A sink hole in Texas 26 stories deep and three football fields long had its heart in the right place but missed Crawford despite its best efforts.

(For a little while there i thought it got C&L.)
So, the NSA finally lets us on on C&L. You guys have had a rough day.
I’m of that Schoolhouse Rock generation. Sing along: “I’m just a bill, just a lonely old bill, sitting on Capitol Hill…”
The whole series is out on DVD now. I’ve gotten my 10-year-old son into it. :)
Why is that when the so called “liberal media” ruled the air waves we got lessons on American values like this (sure, it isn’t entirely accurate but it least it had a catchy tune) and now we get lambasted with hate speech telling us that we need to wear a lapel pin to be a real American?
I understand other political websites are down.
Firedog Lake being one of them.
Hillary is a lazy white woman.
Obama is still nice enough to consider her on the ticket. She’s still broke, though, and she’s trying to avoid further embarrassment.

Because an informed electorate leads down the path to democracy.
What??? The press is looking into a McCain quid-pro-quo?

The only reason they are even bringing it up is because they are reading it here. Right now they are just throwing a carrot out. On the major gaffes of McCain, we won’t hear much. The MSM is not on your side.
Actually, Ron, i hear a lot. Why? Because i wised up! I no longer look to corporate media to get my information. No! I look for facts elswhere because elswhere is where they reside!

Perhaps, but maybe when we get a president in office who taught constitutional law instead of one who treats it like toilet paper this sort of thing will be back in style.

255 more days and 21 hours of the disastrous Bush Administration.
Then let us hope we do not get 1,461 days of McCain or Hillary. It seems there was some hanky panky in Indiana so Bush may be her mentor.
Hillary is doing everything she can for the good of the party- i mean for herself.

When the vote was that close and she is pushing on, I have to wonder what the f**k. We’ve got one mayor yelling on CNN to just go by what the computers are saying while the county is trying to verify the votes. What have you heard?
If some how Hillary ends up with the nomination i will be singing:
It’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you
Nobody knows where our democracy has gone
But Habeas left the same time
Why have fair elections been banned
When we are supposed to lead the world?
It’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you
Black Box voting says the last county was polled at 75% Obama but went 75% Hillary.
What happened in Lake County, Indiana?
Schoolhouse Rock is about the only definer of ‘my generation’ it sometimes seems. Between The Electric Company and Sesame Street, wow TV was once educational. I wouldn’t have been able to keep from singing it. That’s how it’s imprinted upon my brain.
Hillary isn’t for anyone but Hillary. What gives me gray hairs (and I’ve got more than enough thank you) is her possible nuclear option. It goes something like this: Obama gets to the convention with more than enough delegates but Hillary leads in some random statistic (more left-handed Latino voters in states that start with a vowel) and declares that the nomination was “stolen” from her by party insiders (or right-handed Latino voters) and she declares herself an independent (ala Lieberman) and gives the election to McSame. And you don’t think she is self-serving enough to do this you haven’t watched her for the last 16 years.
TDS did an amazing SchoolHouse Rock spoof about mid term elections:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=oowPidJSeb4
And SNL did a great Conspiracy Theory Rock about media ownership:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=zDEO9ipned0
Both are sadly true…

I trust Bev Harris (Black Box Voting) Hacking Democracy. She’s from here where I live.
I have always believed Hillary was self serving. She is on a direct course to destroy her party and her country. I have never supported her. If she does run as a third party candidate Rush Limbaugh will cum all over his microphone.
Schoolhouse rock turns this gay boy on . . .
You know, in the above video? Not a single person was asked to show ID to vote. And bring back those paper ballots, too!
And whatever happened to promoting for the general welfare of the people?
We’ve come a long way, Baby!

No need to go clubbing then.
I truly believe that the repugnantcants think that they have a better chance against Clinton.
Of course they do, that is why they all want her to win the nomination. Kill two birds with one stone. No waman President and no black President.
Xoites… I know that you don’t like HRC, but I was very impressed with her when she was first lady… Despite everything, I still think she is an accomplished lady — tragically imperfect — but I wanna give her a few days to come out of denial until I start bashing her.
Until should be before *
Even if it is true more Democrats would vote for Hillary than Obama (which i doubt) i think more Republicans would vote for McCain if Hillary gets the nomination than if Obama gets the nomination.
xoites (Bitter before Country was Cool) defends Constitution @ 39:
I agree. And that worries me.
She is not in Denile. She is on a Crusade!
xoites (Bitter before Country was Cool) defends Constitution @ 36:
The worst thing that could happen is, most people vote straight ticket. So, if they vote McCain, they will vote repugnant across the board.
31 If she does run as a third party candidate Rush Limbaugh will cum all over his microphone.
I just got a rather nauseating mental picture of Rush as the dick head he is… well, you can fill in the rest. Thanks, now I’m laughing and wretching at the same time.

Thanks stirfry, great comment by Keith.
Fortunately its time for KO here in the Seattle area. If any of you remember a musical comedian, I forget his name (Mark something?), he played piano and sang polictical songs. He had one that went something like, “And then I turned to the sports page… we’re they can’t make losers seem like winners…” So here we have one of the few honest news announcers and lo and behold, he was a sportscaster. How prophetic.
hillary ignores everybody but the white people. Now who put the old southern racism into the race? this proves she would rather divide that unite. she is a mean, vindictive, sore loser.
she hails that she get votes from uneducated people. Why is she dissing her base? Nice going hillary. hillary you should count the people with a half a brain, they voted for you too.
Go Obama!
Go USA!

Ouchy! Hillary just got one of those low, slow boo-hisses on The Daily Show. Not a good sign, especially when you couple it with the fact that she is pretty much done in her run for president.
Eh. Worse things have happened. Sen Clinton will have a very long and significant career in spite of her unsuccessful bid.
