Military analysts named in Times Report appeared or were quoted more than 4,500 times on broadcast nets, cables, NPR

Media Matters did massive research into the Military Analysts scandal since the networks won’t even have a conversation about it and found out that:

A New York Times article detailed the connection between numerous media military analysts and the Pentagon and defense industries, reporting that “the Bush administration has used its control over access and information in an effort to transform” media military analysts “into a kind of media Trojan horse — an instrument intended to shape terrorism coverage from inside the major TV and radio networks.” A Media Matters review found that since January 1, 2002, the analysts named in the Times article — many identified as having ties to the defense industry — collectively appeared or were quoted as experts more than 4,500 times on ABC, ABC News Now, CBS, CBS Radio Network, NBC, CNN, CNN Headline News, Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC, and NPR….read on

We knew they were all over the airwaves, but not to this degree. Di Rita was only trying to bring balance to the news coverage anyway. Glenn Greenwald wonders if Karl Rove was part of this program. What do you think?

The “liberal media” said they will get on this story immediately after they report on the results of the latest Dancing with the Stars competition.

There should be a picture of Goebbels hanging in every newsroom. I mean, if there isn’t already.

Its all part of the spin cycle. Are people getting it yet? Probably not. Oh well, thats what you get when you turn on the television for your news and entertainment.

If the propaganda smells like shit and this does, then we know ‘trudblossum’ was involved.

And by the way don’t congress and the senate know that when someone refuses to be sworn in there’s only one reason and that is so they can LIE!!!!!!!

WOW, what a coincidence !

They were preparing propaganda (just in case) and BOOM!, a convenient “Pearl Harbor” falls right in their lap !!

You just cannot plan and coordinate something like this.

They also tried with the Clinton Monica fiasco but it didn’t quite go over most Americans didn’t want the Wing Nuts grinding the country to a halt and Bill said, “I’m not going to quit” anyway. And he still left office with the highest approval rating of any President in U.S. History.

Think about it…

Even to THIS DAY, a president who was shamed by a blowjob incident in the WH, STILL has higher approval ratings than a ‘War President’

Put that in your pipe and smoke it for a while.

I haven’t trusted the media since they framed Oliver North as Mr. Patriot. This doesn’t surprise me in the least. Vic Says:

Not only is it clear that Rove has been involved in countless dirty tricks in the past but is without a doubt still working his shitty brain in full on overtime to influence politics in this country. Now, with his ability to write opinion articles in the WSJ and appear on WSJ/FOX TV as a fair and balanced propagandist, Rove is even a bigger monster. We must hope the day will come when his influence and expertise will come to an end, only then will the wingnuts make him a martyr and then perhaps he will make a comeback like Ollie North. Rove must have had knowledge and input on this program just like Greenwald and others have shown, this is the Rovian playbook all the way!

Yeah, it all changed when Bush, (or Cheney, or Rove), decided NPR had too much of a liberal bias and put one of their unqualified, fact-averse, political hacks in charge of NPR, and another one, Colin Powell’s son, in charge of the FCC.

They are like roaches, for every one that gets caught in the sunlight, there are hundreds more infiltrating everywhere, spreading their filth.

Stewart should have had some hand sanatizer on his desk to use after shaking hands with DF. We’ve watched the show for years, but are debating WTF he’s doing with some of these “guests.” On the one hand, I like to see the lying liars lie, looking for every tell………..it’s ugly stuff. On the other hand, it’s just uncomfortable seeing such vacant shells trying to pass as human.

I knew Kerry was a lost cause when I saw Republicans at their convention gleefully wearing those “Purple Heart” bandaids, (and my, how quickly those suddenly appeared), which all those war-mongering non-vets were wearing to mock injured veterans.

That’s when I truly understood the unfathomable depth to which Republicans would willingly sink, just to keep getting their way.

And I knew then that this is not about America for the Republicans, and it sure ain’t about the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. It is only about winning, at all costs.

As much as I prefer Obama over Hillary, I wonder if she isn’t the only one running who truly gets this. I wonder if Obama understands what he’s up against, cause they really haven’t even started on him yet. Hillary’s been through their meat grinder and survived, she gets it. I hope Obama does too.

Bill Maher does the same thing; he’ll have some lying pig on who is one of those directly responsible for crimes against this country, or one of our “leaders” who should be doing something about this, and he’ll tiptoe up to the edge and then skittishly back away and crack a joke.

As far as I’m concerned, that only legitimizes these criminals.

My guess is that this was Rumsfeld’s baby. Rove was certainly kept updated on what was going on, since this has been one of the most politically coordinated administrations in American history. But Donald Rumsfeld and his protege Dick Cheney were not about to let Karl Rove tell them how to run anything. Rove’s responsiblities were George Bush and elections. Wars were Rumsfeld’s job.

When Archer-Daniels-Midland became a major corporate sponsor (in the 1990s, I recall) it was clear NPR was destined to become nothing but a mouthpiece for the corporations.

ADM scooped up all the Family Farms bankrupted by the Reagan Administration and replaced the families with huge mechanized computer regulated factory farms.

Tore down the windbreaks put up after the Great Dust Bowl to prevent the same ever happening again - the trees got in the way of the machines.

Ended all remaining biodiversity in the region by replacing everything with crop land.

AgriBusiness - by the Corporations, for the Corporations.

Woah, I didn’t say he isn’t capable of performing vile acts. He is and he has. What I’m saying is that attributing every vile act to Rove creates a boogy man, which is dangerous. It lends him power over the accusations that are based in truth, giving him the ability to spin any legitimate underhanded deeds by pointing out the weak accusations and calling it conspiracy.

Everyone has been awful quick to say Rove is behind everything under the sun.
