This is just so sweet and heart felt that it almost brings a tear.
Where is true patriotism, free of histrionics and chest puffing machismo these daze?
True love of country should induce goose bumps not self righteous indignation.
Here’s to you Marion:a class act if there ever was one.
Aretha’s singing is always stellar but I had no idea she plays piano. Plays it very well, too. She and Paul Robeson are so very talented. There’s something about gospel and spiritual music that just makes a person feel good.
I suspect it will be hard to get noticed in this thread qith so many other You Tube links posted. I would like to suggest a video for the C&L Late Night Music Club.
This is a fan made video to accompany a very important song. The song “Stranger” comes from David Baerwald’s “Bedtime Stories” released in 1990. It couldn’t be more revelant for these times.

Very nice. A voice to give one goosebumps. I can’t help but wonder, though, if there were any Native Americans in the audience to appreciate romanticizing “Pilgrims’ pride.” *cough-cough*
She kinda kicked their collective asses, didn’t she.
