Late Night Music Club with Sharon Little

"Follow That Sound" is apparently the theme song for "The Cleaner" on A&E.
I wouldn't know anything about that.
What I do know is that, when this song came over the wireless FM device in my car, I pulled over and jotted down "Sharon Little ... Awesome...LNMC" on the nearest available scrap paper.

mmm .. hot !!!
(and she sings good too!)
Her voice is fantastic, but the song's a little generic, no? That said, I love me some slide on a tele.
Wow- she's got a great, strong voice.
I just realized who she reminds me of. She sounds kind of like Poe.

Call me jaded, but I don't find her voice all that great. She doesn't stink on ice, but I've heard better voices at local blues clubs around home.
Not that I ever saw this woman perform.

driftglass, I like your taste in music very much. (memo to self, always carry a pen and a spare little piece of paper.)
That was fantabulous!
She looks and sounds good to me but the song doesn't quite capture my imagination.
Are you old enough to remember Ricki Lee Jones? Every time I see a girl dressed this way, I recall the days of "Chuck E.'s in Love."
And here she is, Rickie Lee Jones from 1979. Hard to believe it's getting on 30 years now:
Andy, nice tune there @ 8. I love that song.
Nice pick, D. Proper mic technique and in tune.
im truly shocked that the most obvious song was not headlined

I sometimes don't like the LNMC songs. This time, however, you hit it out of the park! Damn, that's a cool song.
I just went to her site, downloaded the ring tone (free) and will get the album for my ipod.
Thank you, driftglass, for a very tasty pick. I admire your good ear and am thankful that you had a space piece of paper and a pen with ink (or a pencil that was sharpened)!!
May I suggest a song/band? Sick Puppies (band) -- All the Same (song) -- video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr3x_RRJdd4 for the Free Hugs campaign :-) or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okjxe8VWQPo for the official video.
Peace.
I agree with some of the comments that this is a somewhat mediocre song, so I went to youtube to see what else she had to offer, and found this version of "That's the Way God Planned It":

Wow! Great song, great treatment, RIP Billy Preston.
Decent singer, but I'm getting tired of decent singers getting airplay and bandwidth only because they look good, or meet the entertainment business' "standard" of looks. I have a couple of female friends that are outstanding singers, have created CDs of their own and are very popular session and back-up singers, but have not been recognized for their talent or havent gone on tours with acts they have recorded with. Why? I attribute it to the fact that beautiful as they are to me and their friends, they dont fit the "mold". This is extremely common in country, rock, and pop and has become more prevalent in recent years in jazz and blues as well.
Rant mode off.
I saw her in concert when she opened for Alison Krauss and Robert Plant. She gave a great show. (Not as great as the headliners, of course.) Normally an unknown opening act sends me running to the beer line, but I stayed and enjoyed the entire set. I bought her album at the show and have been listening to it quite a bit.
She's hit and miss as a song writer, but has a fantastic voice. This is actually one of her weaker songs. Look for "Ooh Wee" or "Set You Free" for her best stuff.
