Sunday Morning Bobble Head Thread
By Nicole Belle Sunday Oct 12, 2008 4:00amOasis - Sunday Morning Call
That's right, folks, it's your Sunday Morning Bobblehead Call. We're now on what, week 5 of PalinWatch? Meh, you know the McCain camp won't dare let her on any of these shows, so what's the point?
It does look like the battle of the Bailout on This Week, with Barney Frank and former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers on one side and Roy Blunt and James Baker on the other. And it's the battle of the presidential candidate proxies on Fox News Sunday, with David Axelrod and Rick Davis going toe to toe. Actually, given how well she's spoken for the Democrats of late, the one I'm looking forward to the most is Debbie Wasserman-Schultz on Late Edition.
ABC's "This Week" - Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass.; Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Mo.; Former Treasury secretaries James Baker and Lawrence Summers.
CBS' "Face the Nation" - Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.; Gov. Bill Ritter, D-Colo.; Mayor Doug Wilder, Richmond, Va.; Rep. Adam Putnam, R-Fla.; C. Fred Bergsten, director, Peterson Institute for International Economics.
NBC's "Meet the Press" - Gov. Jon Corzine, D-N.J.; Former Rep. Rob Portman, R-Ohio.
CNN's "Late Edition" - Forbes Inc. CEO Steve Forbes (McCain supporter) and former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich (Obama supporter); Sens. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. and Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, D-Fla.
"Fox News Sunday" - David Axelrod, campaign adviser for Barack Obama; Rick Davis, campaign adviser for John McCain; Gov. Ed Rendell, D-Pa.; Gov. Tim Pawlenty, R-Minn.
"The Chris Matthews Show" - Panel: Howard Fineman, Cynthia Tucker, Gloria Borger, David Ignatius. Topics: Can McCain rescue his campaign as the economy sinks? Who benefits as McCain and Obama question each other's character? Meter Questions: Is Gov. Sarah Palin a smart pick for John McCain? YES: 8 NO: 4 Can McCain beat Obama among swing voters? YES: 2 NO: 10
So, who's catching your eye this morning?

No Sunday morning is ever complete without the crazies of the Mclaughlin Group weighing in on the issues of the day, it'd be nice if they'd get acknowledged in this space every now and then.
Tell ya' what I'd like to see: Alan Greenspan explain why he's not Just Another Sarah Palin, Without the Lipstick.
http://satiricalpolitical.com/?p=3877
Perhaps that's why Andrea Mitchell is coming unglued before our very eyes and suddenly developing a conscience? She's sleeping with the enemcy, folks....
Ummm, Ayn Rand would toss out writing about the Greenspan marriage in any of her books because the level of corruption inherent in that relationship would be too implausible for her idiot readers to swallow.
I always thought Alan Greenspan looked like Yassir Arafat WITHOUT the Arab headgear on .
Still no Sarah....
She will only appear on Greta and Hannity.
The Hag Greta has really sold her soul to the darkside.
Great who? That women is old news. Haggard old news.
Did you know that Greta Von Susteren and her husband are BOTH Scientologists? It's TRUE!
High profile couple never pairs church and state
Greta Van Susteren and her husband, John Coale, rub shoulders with notables in the nation's capital, they involve themselves in controversial legal cases, they like Florida living. But you rarely hear them speak of their religion, Scientology.
By MARY JACOBY
© St. Petersburg Times, published December 13, 1998--------Check this article out,it is a superb background on Greta AND her husband known as "Bhopal" Coale. He was involved in litigation of Bhopal,India injuries among other high profile cases. Fox NEVER talks about Greta's Scientology connection. And come to think of it, rarely speaks of Scientology at all-but plenty of Reverand Wright.....
me as well. She's local to me (though not my Rep). She's probably done more to convince Floridians to support Obama than anyone else, including Hillary Clinton.
I'm gonna miss the whole bunch of these shows. Off to work (on a Sunday, in Christo-fascist Orlando). I expect the cops to be called on me at least once today...
Best comedy on TV right now is the Fox News network.
Margaret Hoover just put in appearance this morning on their Koffee Klatsch Kouch and had to admit that the reason that Obama has picked up 13% of the undecideds women's vote in the last two weeks is because the women of America don't want The Disaster From Alaska anywhere near their 401(k)s.
Too funny.
It gets better.
No less personage than Lynn Forester De Rothschild was just admonished by the Fox News host that she was talking to just now that Reverend Wright was taken off the table by John McCain and that she had to stop going there.
The look of disappointment on that c***'s face was palpable, because without that, what card did she have left to play?
Couldn't happen to a better class of people, and I mean that in the nicest way.

President Obama and the Coming Stock Market Crash
How destructive to the U.S. economy would a Barack Obama presidency be?
An exclusive Newsmax analysis warns: There could be a very rough time ahead.
Beneath Obama's flowery rhetoric lies a dangerous economic plan that will wreak havoc on the American economy.
Obama plans to return to the failed policies of high taxation coupled with an expansion of government spending.
Worse, Obama says he is absolutely committed to almost doubling the capital gains rate — something he will easily accomplish with a Democrat Congress.
In the coming months — when investors realize that Obama will raise the cap gains rate — there could be a stampede of asset sales as investors rush to take their profits now to avoid Obama's doubling of the tax rates next year.
All of these issues and more are explored in Newsmax magazine's special report "Obamanomics — the Coming Tax-and-Spend Nightmare," by Wall Street Journal columnist John Fund.
This Newsmax magazine special report gives Americans the first in-depth look at the Democratic presidential candidate's likely strategies — and how they will affect not just the larger economy, but your personal wealth as well.
Indeed, Obama makes no bones about his plans to go on a tax rampage. Not only would he increase the capital-gains tax rate from 15 percent to as much as 28 percent, he wants to allow the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax cuts to expire in 2010, which effectively raises taxes on Americans by tens of billions of dollars.
He also wants to do away with the $102,000 FICA payroll tax cap, which means anyone making over $102,000 would pay an additional 7 percent in taxes on earned income.
And the loan dividend tax rate George Bush implemented? Under President Obama it will be DOA!
If you are concerned about your wealth and family's financial well-being — and that the American economy remains strong — you must read this special report and share it with friends and family.
Not too proud of Johnstown, but Philly gets it right
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/10/...
Yew betcha! Philly knows a LOSER when we see one!!
I never watch these shows. Too much lying and spinning, and there's never anything new. I watch CBS Sunday from 9 to 10:30 then ESPN. I think it would be an interesting tracking exercise to see how many Republicans, like "Former Rep. Rob Portman, R-Ohio", wind up with the dreaded word "Former" in front of their names.
Steve Forbes is a McCain supporter? I didn't realize that. Hope he chokes on an apple.
Crazy Eyes Forbes has slugged from CRudy to Romney to McCain.
Forbes will say "Don't cut my taxes because if you do, I will not be able to trickle down on you".
Crazy Eyes Forbes has slugged from CRudy to Romney to McCain.
Forbes will say "Don't cut my taxes because if you do, I will not be able to trickle down on you".
Forgot Forbes was one of those trickle on down theory lovers. Wonder how much money Buffet, Forbes and Gates actually trickle down to the peasants they control. Read Microsnot lost almost 50 billion this week on the books. Whatever will Bill and Melinda do with only 100 billion to live on!
Continue to fanatically practice bladder control.
*
Do they make "Depends" big enough to contain $700 billion worth of excrement and bodily fluids?
Vomit. Pass.
You people must have caste iron stomachs.
*
All the corporate media clowns are panicking.
If it's okay with C & L... I'll surf the channels for the rest of the programs, but I hate exposing my TV to that faux stuff... I'll just wait to see the clips here. I can filter out that junk better here, and my blood pressure seems to stay controlled. Didn't there use to be a banner here about C & L.... "we watch faux so you don't have to"????? I really appreciate that. Oh and by the way... where's LIEberman? Did he loose his monkey doll and have to cancel one of the shows????? Just asking.
Probably in Cheney's secret location, planning the upcoming Iranian attack/October surprise.
I think the October Surprise is actually hitting the republican side this year. Just saw clips on news from McCain "townhall" and those folks are pissed they are so far behind!!! They just don't get it...
SURPRISE!!!!
Don't fret. Palin was here in Ohio. She was being opening booed in mass. You did not see it on the teevee but the people are catching on.
Dusting off his dual citizenship passport and arranging planes tickets probably.
Research 2000 Poll This morning is Obama 53 - McCain 40. No way to spin this other than what's occurring in this country right now.
McCain and Palin with their own hate speech have shown themselves unstable to this country's security and incapable of acting with enough integrity to lead - in other words, they've both illustrated to all of us just how "unpresidential" they are.
Palin, the ethically-challenged, used the lowest form of human behavior on the stump all week to rev up their lunatic fringe, right wing, mentally-challenged base and it's worked in reverse. It's shown Middle America that these are precisely the citizens who have become "america's cancer" and dangerous to the future of this country. Never before has the dispicability of these animalistic humans become more evident.
McCain attempted to tap into the rage americans are feeling about the Bush Administration and turn it against Obama. Something interesting happened on the way to the forum, though - in so doing, he enlivened the anger of middle america against himself. This will be known as "McCain's Greatest Blunder" in the history books. Now Middle America loathes McCain and Palin and will never forgive them for what they have done this past week to try to "destabilize this nation".
Finally, they've proven to all americans that they are totally "dishonorable, unamerican human beings" (and incitors to violence).
Any numbers crunched yet about Palin's sinking numbers? Haven't been able to locate them but I'm certain that they're descending like the Titanic. And, deservedly so.
To try to spin a sentence in the report that reinforces a Governor's right to "hire and fire" and somehow exonerate Palin for the final verdict that she definitely DID ABUSE POWER is not incongruous but a statement made by a group taking lessons from Rove and Bush.
America knows Palin's type - she's no reformer, she's one of the 'GOOD OLD BOYS HERSELF'. Palin's no maverick - she's a serial abuser.
at that hockey game, so bad they turned the canned music up to deafening levels.
There was also people doing the thumbs down thing in the crowds, very noticeably, a few clapped.
Palin bringed her kids out on the ice with her like that was going to stop the people from Philly booing her.
She does not know Philly. They will boo Santa with kids if they deserve it.
Have to say that I really feel sorry for her kids. Not just for this situation at the Flyers game, but this whole campaign. They will be scarred for life by this - which is awful, because it compounds the scars they already have from being the spawn of Todd and Ssrah.
Here is a video from the hockey game from the stands where you can really hear the booing for Palin:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXNetpeu_mk
They did try to cover up the booing with music.
I'm from Philly. I can tell you. She better not go to a 76ers game.
She thought that booing was bad. She heard nothing.
If that guy that she fired runs for her office in Alaska. He is going to win hands down.
Palin is on the campaign to the unemployment line.
Hopefully Alaska recalls sweet Sarah.
'Obama spokesman's satellite feed gets cut'
Faux cant handle the truth, so they cut his video feed off and claim oops technical difficulties.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFNNxEVilGE
How can anyone with any brain cells at all watch Faux Spews? From their arrogant idiotic hosts, to their biased bimbos, I can't take more than the ads.
so most likely a deliberate blanking out of his video feed.
'Faux, unfair, unbalanced, deranged, scared and losing it big time'
I don't watch Fox much - usually just when there's a commercial on some other channel - and even then, it's just for a laugh. But, I've noticed over the years that they do seem to have "technical difficulties" a lot more often than the other cable news channels - especially when the guest is not spewing right-wing talking points or the little, blond, bimbo host can't come up with a response.
PATHETIC!
I cant recall reading her as being on any bobble head show, asking and answering questions.
Is she scared of being revealed as incompetent/deranged or unable to debate !
Yes, yes, and yes. Plus....perhaps...not sure she can see her reflection in mirror.
HATE TALK EXPRESS
How about a little hate talk, my friends? Who is the really Obama?
for post november 4th or are you sticking it out til january and the fire sale ?

Can't put lipstick on that flying pig, no matter how hard you try.
Ouch, that was brutal
US Youtube version for saving for posterity

I've never, ever seen anything like that on TV. Chris Wallace looked like he knew this is over, by the hysterical rantings of Rick Davis.
Thanks for Crooks and Liars about that Post About John Lewis, I was unaware McCain cited him. Rick Davis went straight to the POW line.
but with Gov. Sarah Palin and the contractors/ companies that built the sports stadium there and went over budget...
Was this because they were also building her %500,000 luxury lake side home also !
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/10/11/...
Construction details are scarce because Palin removed detailed planning rules and recording from the Wasilla town regulations.
Convenient if planning for lobbyist friends to construct your new home.
After showing his ass all week with slurs and innuendo which ratcheted up the domestic terrorist rhetic at all of his hate rallies, this abject fool now expects americans to believe that he can somehow unite us when all he's done is divide? Sounds like George Bush to me.
As they say: "There's no fool like an old fool". This past week's abominable, low-brow behavior by "Fail-in Palin" and Johnny McGambler just blew up in their faces.
Obama 53/ McCain 40
He's even dipped into what is called "candidate no man's land" and, just like Bush, has reached an unprecedented low of 39 now! Guess where? The FOX news poll. Now let's see these idiots on Fox try to spin that one - it's their own poll.
Pawlenty said on Fox News Sunday comparing experience between Obama and McCain: "you don't start a rookie quarterback in the Super Bowl." A first-year starter, Tom Brady, led the Patriots to Super Bowl in 2002.
What Pawlenty was directly referring to was the fact that McCain stung him and picked Fail-in instead.
"she is only fit to speak to a Sam's Club"
classic and slightly miffed maybe :)
John McCain taught us, in no uncertain terms, that americans need to be fearful.....fearful of a McCain*Palin presidency.
This man has stooped to the lowest of dispicable grounds with the able assistance of his ethically-challenged Veep candidate whom Americans are patently rejecting in HUGE numbers according to the poll and the volume of boo-ing as she dropped the hockey puck in Philly even using her own child as a "boo shield". It doesn't get any more obvious that this, folks.
John McCain has repeatedly reinforced one fact in american's minds which we saw firsthand at his rallies when, after throwing a match into a tinderbox, he tried to put out the forest fire which he and his sidekick "intentionally created" over the course of the week.
The boo-ing by his own base of this candidate revealed that JOHN MC CAIN IS TOTALLY IMPOTENT TO EVEN CONTROL HIS OWN BASE - NO LESS QUELL THIS COUNTRY IN THESE DIRE TIMES.
He's has given Independents and fence sitters the final evidence we've needed - he's totally UNFIT & UNSTABLE TO SERVE.
Yes, but unfortunately Palin and McCain have already succeeded in stirring up those hate mongers, and when Obama wins, and the neo-cons and their buds in the international financial cabals continue to destroy our economy...
- the people standing in the bread lines are still going to be mad as Hell at Obama...!
John McCain ads - 100% negative
What else does this disreputable, violence-inciting criminal have to say? Nothing positive, that's certain as his campaign scrambles around in total chaos.
The man's brain is chaos so what else can we expect from someone so mentally handicapped?
The other obvious conclusion americans are making right now is that John McCain is neither reformer or maverick - he's more of the same hateful lying which we've had for 8 years. He's more of the same sleazy and corruption we've had under Bush. Hell, even his Veep is mired in crap up to her eyeballs now. I've heard that the Alaska legislature is considering either censure, impeachment, or the filing of criminal charges based on the findings of this investigation.
This could come just prior to election day and will lead to an Obama landslide.
Sarah Palin's reputation is disgusting and her recent associations with the closest thing to terrorists yet is her intimate association with the radical right fringe group called the Alaska Secession Party. AIP.
Moosie's goose is cooked just in time for Thanksgiving.
No criminal charges were brought because it is not within the purview of this investigation to do so. The investigation's verdict is that Palin is "guilty" of violating the people's trust (which is huge politically) and "guilty" of "abuse of power". From here will proceed the next step to either criminal charges since she also violated Alaskan statutes and/or censure of her as Governor. Alaskans are talking impeachment right now as well. Time will tell and is not on the side of this serial abuser, Sarah Palin.
If you have any question that she is a serial abuser, just listen to her on the stump. She's abusing the power of the stump to shield her racially-tinged terror baiting. She's abusing the power of her position to incite americans to violence and death threats - actions strictly prohibited by the Patriot Act.
These two criminals believe themselves to be above the law, just like Bush and Cheney. What they've done this past week should be considered to be an infraction of the laws of this country - intentional incitement to violence in the public square - and Middle American will not be appeased or consoled unless/until these two very sick, twisted individuals are held accountable for their actions this past week.
They have intentionally worked to destabilize this country and to further divide it. United we stand/divided we fail. With the country descending into the dark abyss of destruction, it's clear that these two frauds could care less about "country" and instead always put "party first".
Their signs are total bull$hit. For them, what they continue to manifest is 'PARTY FIRST' TACTICS IN PUBLIC.
Palin has become an embarrassment (well, she kind of already was. It's just worse now). I'm from Alaska, although I left in '92, before Palin got into politics. The ADN has never liked her. Her "popularity" was more like a surprised blip on everyone's radar screen because she was seen as staring down and taking on the good ol' boys network. She hasn't been in office that long (!), and the current "polls" simply reflect Alaskans' seeing her high-school cronyism for what it is. Most politicians, immediately after taking office, enjoy high poll ratings (look at Chimpy in Chief, back in 2001).
My parents, who live next door to Wasilla, kind of hem and haw about her now, but I know that they are taken aback at McCain's high-powered DC lawyers "swooping" into their state to interfere with their governing process. This is NOT playing well up there.
What I am hoping is that all Alaskans begin to get embarrassed about her, and when she comes crawling back on Nov. 5th, impeachment trials commence.
She is an embarrassment, and has brought out the basest, lowest supporters of the once-proud GOP party. I myself have been a lifelong proud Democrat, but I do recognize that the GOP used to be a different animal than it is now. What Bu$h & Darth Cheney and their merry band of neocons have turned the GOP into nowadays is scary. Anyway, Palin's extremist and racist fearmongering plays right into this new-ocon GOP.
Why not?
I think the media bottom line would be very well-served in these times of economic crisis by laying off at least half of their vast punditry.
In fact, I think they should lay them all off and replace them with far fewer younger people who will work twice as hard for one quarter of the salary and no benefits.
A scaled-down, per diem punditry is called for in these times.
Why is no one talking about Palin abusin' her power in the Troopergate affair??? Not one talking head, not one show, not one pundit has brought up this subject, something that should be open for discussion!
I'm so fed up this morning and disgusted, I'm going back to bed.
You can BELIEVE that Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow WILL be talkin about it tomorrow night! The last two voices of sanity in the MSM wilderness!
Though, I'd have to say that in the last few weeks, even Tweety has come around. We'll just have to see how long that lasts...

There was a moment of silence on The Chris Matthews Sunday News show when David Ignatius said that John McCain could "lose his soul" if his campaign continued down the path that they were on. It was an amazing moment a very serious comment
