The Times UK Online:
Washington hit by curse of the kid bloggers

As the leader of the Republican party in the US Senate and a possible presidential candidate, Senator Bill Frist of Tennessee has a reputation for sober rectitude. The same cannot be said of his son Jonathan, a Vanderbilt University student who recently appeared on the internet wearing six cans of beer strapped to his belt .
Nor has Jonathan's brother Bryan done much to help his father's attempts to strike a reasonable note about US involvement in Iraq. "I was born an American by God's amazing grace," wrote Bryan Frist in an online profile. "Let's bomb some people."

But it gets better... Emailer Shannon shares on her blog what happens when a friend messages Jonathan about racist statements on his Facebook page:

"Roll Call, the Washington insiders' newspaper published on Capitol Hill, recently reported that Jonathan Frist's Facebook entry declared him a member of the "Jonathan Frist appreciation for ‘Waking Up White People' Group". It also mentioned a group where there were "No Jews allowed. Just kidding. No seriously"
Well, that little bit of information about the son of faux Christian Senator Frist peaked my interest. I decided to message him on Facebook, commenting on his joining of hate groups. I wrote, "Racism, intolerance, bigotry, hatred get you NOWHERE! Remember that."

Frist Jr. responded: "I agree. Neither does judging people you dont know. Remember that." I felt kind of guilty. His father is literally a major war criminal by being the Party leader of an agressive (read: illegal) war, but maybe the guy's just a racist prick and I shouldn't judge him so much -- you know? But I just had to keep on with: "I know hate when I see it. That's what happens when you're raised in reality." You know how angering the internet can be.

It would've stopped at there, but Junior Frist had one more ace up his sleeve: "I can tell you are consumed with hate. I will pray for you."

Isn't that so forgiving of him?

I'd be tempted to write this off as just the isolated antics of the overly-privileged young, but then Wonkette had to go and share about the Pierce Bush and the kids of Brian Bilbray.
