And in the spirit of The Daily Show, here are the TOP TEN REASONS TO IMPEACH BUSH AND CHENEY

right on! Says:

I love Jon Stewart… the only news show on TV these days.

4
Orwell’s Illegitimate Son Says:

Wow. Between the two of them, there’s 150 years of insanity.

5
t-bone Says:

Jon’s Cheney impression is spot on; kind of a cross between Burgess Meredith’s Penguin from the ’60s Batman TV show and Froggy from the Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse cartoons of the same era.

Snidely Whiplash Says:

I loved Jon Stewart’s “The White House is taking the United States pass/fail” line.

And of course. . . GIVE ‘EM AN “F.”

8
right on! Says:

And you, Dick, won’t be held in high regard whatsoever… don’t give it another thought!

President PNACcio Says:

Here’s how the conversation would have gone with a real journalist-

KING: In that regard, The New York Times — which, as you said, is not your favorite — reports it was you who dispatched Gonzales and Andy Card to then-Attorney General John Ashcroft’s hospital in 2004 to push Ashcroft to certify the President’s intelligence-gathering program. Was it you?

CHENEY: I don’t recall — first of all, I haven’t seen the story. And I don’t recall that I gave instructions to that effect.

KING: That would be something you would recall.

CHENEY: I would think so.

KING: But you don’t recall… Hmmmm…..So if you don’t recall giving instructions to that effect, who do you think gave Gonzalez the instructions to visit Mr. Ashcroft in the hospital?

I can’t listen to Dick without being reminded of “the banality of evil”.
He is with out doubt one of the most willfully arrogant and evil characters America has ever had the misfortune to produce. He has become a very wealthy man on the backs and blood and bones of the innocent.I hope he burns in Hell.

Jersey Says:

I really do think, history will bear this out, that Cheney and Bush, both of them, are far far worse than Hitler and Stalin.

Do others on this thread agree?

Dr. Acula, that’s great news, because those evil capitalist Republicans will lose some of their ill gotten money; and the lower the market goes, the better it is for Democrats getting elected. (I know it’s probably not smart to say that, but I doubt any conservatives ever read this blog.)

15
Jersey Says:

americah, [deleted–do not advocate violence towards any person on this blog]. He is actually much worse than Musssolini ever was, that’s for sure.

16
Dr. Acula Says:

Hey Jersey — if you think only wealthy republics have $ in Wall St you don’t know what you’re talking about. Ever hear of 401-K plans? Pensions? IRAs? It’s not so black & white as you pretend.

As far as your Hitler/Stalin comment goes — well, I’d better not say anything as it will piss off our sitemonitors!

I need some help. I am too old and midwestern white to come up with a rap song using whaa whaa heh heh heh. Any ideas?

Dr Arcula, only Republicans want the stock market to go up. Democrats are in favor of socialism, and so am I, so we don’t want capitalism exploiting the masses.

Right on. I’ve been thinking the same thing, at least about the Penguin part. If only Jon had a monocle and a cigarette holder.

Oh, believe me, he will. He will burn with the most slow roastingly painful flames. His hair will singe. His skin will crisp. Satan will be laughing at his little girlish shrieks as he feels the pain of his worldly sins, for eternity.

At least, that’s what gets me out of bed in the morning. The smallest hope that there is justice, somewhere.

Speaking as a person who despises George Bush and loathes Dick Cheney, no.

Pull your head out-a-your-ass man. Democrats aren’t socialists. Socialists are socialists. And even they want companies to do well as long as it isn’t at the cost of the society. Thus the name. Dude, you are one retarded fuck.

Dave Says:

So obviously the argument to go to Iraq was that Saddam posed an imminent threat. Cheney himself said there was “no doubt that Iraq now posesses weapons of mass destruction”. Now, after he’s been proven wrong, he still says he would have done it again, even though he definitely knows Saddam wasn’t a threat and he cannot prove otherwise. SO why is it worth spending at least $1 trillion on the fake war instead of spending it on border security? (just imagine what could be done with a TRILLION dollars or more!). Here’s why: O-I-L OIL. We’re in big BIG trouble with oil. SO everybody: Keep on driving. We’re all the problem. (myself no exception). Unless you do not drive a car, eat only locally grown organic food, live without electricity, running water, etc, YOU are at the bottom of the chain and Bush/Cheney/etc are at the top. This chain bears NO broken links and they’re saving your ass and mine. I’ll continue to despise the mortal sins these people are commiting in our name, but I will also be conscious of my part that I played in this situation. I implore you do the same and watch how you live. If you don’t, just remember the quote that stinky #1 and stinkier #2 have both used in speeches: “The American way of life is not negotiable”

Grifin in Alabama Says:

Notice what Cheneys face does when asked about attacking Iran? His face squinches up. He acts shocked an twitches a little then when answering he smirks slightly. That’s is one twisted fuck. Talk about a nutjob running the country. Run that clip back and forth a couple of times and understand that we have a psychopath in charge of the U.S. who has no compassion for human life. He will bomb, kill, burn and maim other people and think nothing of it. To smile when asked that question shows the true nature of that man. He is evil incarnate. I would love to hear what FBI facial analysis folks would have to report on Cheneys expressions. That’s one lying bastard. All the while getting rich while people die. Oil. Cheneys lifeblood. Americas curse. And he knows it. Impeach this bastard before his killing goes into the millions. He could potentially start WWIII. How foolish are we to let him still stay in office after all his lies and crimes? Impeach now.

“I wanted to sit on a jury and the judge said to me, ‘Can you tell the truth and be fair?’
And I said, ‘That’s what journalists do.’ And everybody in the courtroom laughed.
It was the most hurtful moment I think I’ve ever had.”
— Diane Sawyer, on ABC’s Good Morning America

Not long ago any memeber of the media would instantly acknowledge they worked in the media. particularly the news media and were dismissed from serving.
Back in the day it was felt the reason was that they knew too much.
Now it would be because they are crooks.
Larry is a kind old soul. Too kind.
But can you imagine O’Reilly showing up for jury duty?
The court would be slapping their knees and stomping their feet.

38
Mike Says:

That’s why the fairness doctrine worked, instead of trying to find someone in the middle who’s fair, you’d get a right winger and a left winger to ask alternating questions of Dick Cheney. Here’s the windup, the pitch, it’s a soft ball arcing gracefully…. Cheney swings! Crack! it’s out of the park and 20% of the stadium stands up and cheers. The next pitcher approaches the mound, here’s the pitch, zing! a curveball brushes Cheney back from the box and the crowd roars as the Ump yells “strike.”
