Yah for the whole WORLD!!!!

The Longest Year

I won't be satisfied until Bush and Cheney pay a price for all their wrong doing.

U.S. will be owned by Saudi Arabia by then.

In honor of this historic milestone, let me be the first to say what a dick he is.

We don't get real representation until we kick out the folks who control GW's strings.
http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/256.html

Anyone else paying attention to the massive election fraud happening in the various primaries?

Too bad we wouldn't have to wait an entire year if the Dems would actually hold his administration accountable for all of his crimes against country and Constitution. The injustice is irreconcilable.

"George W. Bush has one more year."

...then some dumb Democrat gets to look like the bad guy for staying in the Iraq quagmire, or (much less likely) for exiting Iraq and letting the place collapse.

I wish the title of this post was:

"Intelligent constructive innovative creative agenda-grabbing Democrat planning will be ready for implementation in one more year."

Unless we succumb to the post-Iran strike Stock Market crash martial law from now till then...

You know, I feel sorry for Bush. Maybe it's just my empathy for a man stuck in the middle of such harsh criticism or the fact that he and others that advise or work for him have a conscience - that they have to live with the rest of their lives brooding on eight years in the White House. What they did, what they are going to do and what, if any, realization that maybe, just maybe they could try to correct some wrongs. I could see some of that mentality when he visited Israel for the first time while president. Maybe he's realized that the White House has goofed up too many times and overlooked serious problems, one of which is the most obvious (Israeli and Palestinian conflict).

I just hope people won't be harsh him as much after the 44th is sworn in (Hillary). It's easy to beat a man down when he's already on the ground. Of course, the neo-cons have beat many up as well but reciprocating violence does not create a better world. That's what the whole idea of compassion and empathy for fellow humans regardless of what they did to us.

Anyway, hope the last year is better than the previous seven.

Like someone is going to persecute the former president of United States. I'd like to see that spectacle. Dream on. As long as America is a superpower with lots and lots of nukes and has a huge military, there will not be a single court in the world that would dare imprison the POTUS. There are just too many supporters and too many people would be wanting blood for it.

If there ever was a court proceeding, it would have to be done in the American justice system, with American judges. However, even if there was a conviction, the current POTUS would pardon him.

It's unrealistic.

The damage has been done. We need more than for them to just leave office. We need a major overhaul of our media, our election system, our foreign policy, monetary policy etc. This isn't funny. We have a lot of work to do if we want to survive as a sovereign nation.

LA Confidental @66-You are sooooo right. Yea-great who cares. We get rid of Bush, and we get next another Corporate Creep President to take the reins. Take Your Pick: John McCain, Mitt Romney, Hillary Clinton, Barach Obama. Don't expect much because they will all be a prototype of Bush. Not much of a difference than what you have now. The only difference is that anyone that votes for the jerks listed above will be to blame for 4 more miserable years of Bushes policies! Is there anyway out of this mess??? ARe we in hell and just don't know it??

We have sooo much to look forward to. After Bush gets out we'll either get four more years of John McCain and Mike Huckabey as VP. Or better yet Hillary Clinton and Joe Lieberman as VP!!!

If you, bluegal, and others would get behind the impeachment effort (instead of sorta standing on the sidelines), we can make that year actually productive for progessive politics. It is only by holding these criminals up to public condemnation that we will establish enough trust in the govenment to get the majority of Americans to buy into single payer, immediate withdrawl for Iraq and progressive taxes to get us out of the looming economical meltdown.

There is nothing to celebrate. After 2004, I gave up on this country. It's run by idiots because for the most part it's filled with idiots who'd rather watch "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" than figure out what's going on in the world. Things will pretty much stay the same under a democrat, then another Bush will get elected in 4 to 8 years and we'll just keep on moving towards the 13th century.

80 leslie Says:

Well Pelosi has been spewing that bs for quite some time but that hasn't stopped Kucinich, Wexler, and many, many others so we'll see what happens.

The second to the last paragraph in the Independent article:

"The new occupant of the Oval Office can but hope today's dislike for America is directed at a leader, not at a country. That may well be, but one thing is for sure. Never again will the US occupy that extraordinary position of supremacy – military, moral and economic – that it held in the interlude between the demise of Communism and the attacks of September 2001."

Ain't that the truth. George Bush (and his enablers in the last GOP Tom Delay congress, media, talk radio, etc..) has single handedly brought America down. Osama BinLaden must be estastic!

It's going to be a long year. We should start now organizing a massive party on the national mall in Washington to show the world we are just as happy that this son of a bitch is leaving office as they are. Imagine an unpresidented display of hundreds of thousands of Americans on the National Mall actually celebrating a president leaving office! It would also signify a apology to the world for inflicting these ruthless bastards upon the global community.
