Bill O’Reilly’s blog reports that former White House Press Secretary Tony Snow will join Bill O’Reilly’s radio show as his “permanent fill-in host“:

Well, that's another really good reason "not" to ever watch that show! It sounds like ole Tony Snowjob didn't find the big ole green pasture on the other side of the fence. I guess you have to stick with the press secretary job longer than the short time he had it.

I cannot imagine listening to BillO or Rush on the radio. Just the clips I hear from both of them give me a sick feeling. I admit I have watched some of Bill's shows, but I don't think I've ever been able to watch the whole thing. I usually tune out after about ten to fifteen minutes. He's just gross in so many ways. He's everything I detest in a man.

I watched FOX news in Thailand for the first time this winter. (I don't get it at home.) It is a pile of garbage: there is no news. It really made me think that (at least) %50 of Americans are far stupider than I ever gave them credit for.

I actually caught the beginning of the radio show today. Tony started in all sentimental about how having cancer has made him realize how caring Americans are, how many strangers wish him well, how important family is, etc. Then he went right in to the usual divisive BS.
His reflections must not have included spending his remaining time on earth making a positive contribution - more like he's running out of time to spew his garbage. If the cancer can't change ya, I don't guess anything will!

I had more than my fill of Tony Snow when he was a local problem -- he worked on both the local papers in our part of Virginia. He was one of those guys who would say anything. (On two memorable occasions, he wrote columns that I agreed with. I have no recollection of their content, only of my astonishment when Snow showed glimmers of human feeling.)
