Daily Show: Play the "George-Bush-Can-Predict-the-Future" Game
By SilentPatriot Monday Apr 14, 2008 3:35pm
Although we're never told exactly what "success" would look like in Iraq, the administration and its apologists are always quick to predict what the consequences of "failure" would be. While dissecting one of Bush's regular propaganda speeches Monday night, Jon Stewart realized that if you add the words "what would happen if we invaded Iraq..." before every prediction the President now makes, it's like he can predict the future, or as Jon Stewart put it, "see into the present."

"It's like he can see into the present. Maybe if we yell it loud enough, he'll hear it back in 2003."
If only it were still 2003. And we didn't have a buffoon as President.

Whenever an unfortunate being has to deal with a fictitious and ridiculous entity known as a "conservative" or, heaven help us, a Booosh, you are forced to descend into their mobius strip veracity and have to define in simplistic terms what “ultimate reality” is, just so you have an agreed upon construct in order to attempt communication. Think of a college educated individual attempting to have a discussion with Sparkles the piano playing duck. But as any intelligible person who has tried to uncover “truth” with a conservative will tell you, it is quite a journey from brushing your teeth in the morning with crusty eyes to morphing/merging into godhead. Of course the vision of brushing your teeth also tells us something about reality. As does a beer and a shot. But not “ultimate” reality. (Name me something that does NOT alter consciousness and I'll go out and say a prayer for it) It also tells us something about the workings of the human brain, or in the case of the GOP, lack thereof. Conservative “thought”, such as it is, is a DMT induced vision, similar to a beer and a shot, albeit a DNA controlled bubble consensus using varying, subconsciously controlled degrees of manipulation and ass “leakage”, designed to distort our focus in this shared wavelength/dimension we call the now.
I watched it last night.
Great stuff.
Can someone please find the object.
Thank you.
Got a 404 on the link
Before I see if I can watch the video, I just gotta say this. It will come as a "bitter" disappointment to all the cable channels, Hillary and John McCain, but polls out today nationally and in Pennsylvania, show that Obama's remarks about people in small towns hasn't done one bit of harm to him. He is six percentage polls ahead of Hillary nationally and six points behind her in Pennsylvania.
So will they stop beating on that poor dead horse now? Maybe now they might mention that the president of the United States admitted he okay-ed the torture of human beings.
Too much coke and booze. What else can you expect from an AWOL coward?
Nope, the Windows "play" doesn't work. Somebody feed the hamster so we can get the little rascal back on the video playing wheel.
You lost a server. (maybe)

Correcting my bad editing
Bush does not predict the future. He talks with Yahweh, his Semitic war god, who tells him what the future holds.
Did I interpret correctly what is the implied from some of the above comments? Are others having trouble with the clip, too? It could be that I'm an e-dolt, and not the first time, but I can't get this to play in either viewer option, Windows Player or Quick Time.
Things won't change because:
1. The true levers of power re still controlled by Cheney
2. The neo-cons always get an MSM forum to make their case, usually unopposed
3. The neo-cons have dubbed themselves "intellectuals" so everyone else must be stupid
4. The plan was never to listen to anyone else
5. The plan was for the situation to remain unsettled so we can't leave
Unfortunately all humor concerning Iraq got lost in the situation a few hundred thousand casualties ago.
This video has been removed for your own protection.
Horst, I don't think anyone has gotten it to play.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
And you are being racially profiled!
When I want to know the future I gaze into my balls...
Hmmm...
I think I'll be horny tonight.
Carl Gordon @ 2:
Now that says it all in a tight little nutshell...Bravo

Coffee is better.
GAH. I've given in, I've gotta say it: C & L is currently the worst site for video. I couldn't get a single clip to play yesterday, something like 0 for 5. And it obviously takes hours more to get it running properly.
Don't bother posting it if it won't run, right?
nope No play. No boom boom. Nada.
Add video files first, THEN post blog entry.
toma @ 20:
If you post it they will come.

I hear Nancy Reagan is his Tarot card reader.
Murray Trillionaire
So far Matthews is playing softball with McCain. McCain said he is against torture and Matthews didn't call him on his often changing attitudes about it.
I'm gonna fix the video wheel-running hamster a nice cold dry Sapphire martini, I bet that will get him back in gear.
Amazing, still dead, just like yesterday. The fun parts of the site are the video clips, and they never work. Who runs this joint--Amtrak?
Still I hope that Barack continues pounding his argument that people vote against their economic interest, despite the travesty of a distraction/discussion in the media right now. It is such an important point.
Sounds like a few commenters here could use a cold martini to chill out. They'll get the videos fixed, just relax and chat amongst yourselves. I'm betting the site monitors wouldn't mind if this became an open thread until the videos are up and running. I'm not betting the farm, just a couple of cents. :)

You should ask your money back...
Greg @ 24:
Thank you!
ecuwop @ 28:
It IS an important point.I always said that the very people who voted for The Thugs were the ones who would get f***ed the most.
Greg @ 24:
Thanks for the clip!
It would be really funny if it weren't true. I don't find it so funny.
Greg @ 24:
Thanks for the link, Greg.
Brilliant!
Its like ive been saying for long time. When Bush talks about all the bad things AQ will do...change the name from AQ to USA and you get a very good description of what is happening.

Like the TSA and navel rings:
"Machine beep. You no go."
I'm glad that other people are having the same problem with the links not working. I thought it was the gods again cursing my fate.
It's really a shame that I have to go off site to view clips posted here 75% of the time. But a testament to your dedicated readers that they bail you out.
Please don't defame all of us legitemate buffoons.
Thanks for fixing the links.
Btw, I hardly have any problems with the links they provide. In fact this is the first one I have come across in months. Maybe the gods are cursing other people when they are not cursing me.
Hey, it works. Thanks for the fix.
I think my favourite video last night was this one:

Especially the part near the end about how Stewart is sick of having a 'normal guy' as a president, and that he really wants somebody embarrassingly superior to him. Someone that speaks 16 languages, sleeps two hours a day in a room especially built by him, etc. etc. Good stuff.
"...it's almost as if he can see into the present"
LMAO!
That's one of the truest sketches Stewart has ever done...
I can predict the future too. Anything Bush touches will turn to shit! Batting 1000 so far.
I thought that I was embarrased for my country about Monicagate but this moron in chief makes me want to scream in disgust. How did thid idiot get into the highest office in the nation? Hell, how does he find his way out of bed in the morning?
