(h/t David Stephenson)   In many communities in Africa, children can't attend school without a school uniform and are even chased away if they try to go to school without a uniform. Often girls don't get the opportunity to attend school that boys get, without support from outside organizations. Read more at The Girl Effect dot org.

Looks like we are going to need more money for the war on terror. We are going to have to get all those secret agents a car.

"More secret government files left on train: newspaper
7 hours ago

LONDON (AFP) — A second batch of secret government files have been found on a train, just days after intelligence on Al-Qaeda and Iraq were misplaced, according to a newspaper report.

The Independent on Sunday said it was handed papers covering government policy on fighting global terrorist funding, drug trafficking and money laundering after they were left on a train bound for Waterloo station Wednesday.

The disclosure came after the BBC was handed high-level files Tuesday on Al-Qaeda and Iraq that were marked "Top Secret" and "for UK/US/Canadian/Australian eyes only".

They were left on the seat of a commuter train at Waterloo."

You know what else the girl effect is called - capitalism. It's a good thing.

And it starts with socialistic sharing based on the basic philosophy of taking care of our fellow (wo)man...which is a capital non-capitalist approach that empowers the disadvantaged as opposed to taking advantage of their desperation to pay slave wages and reap huge profits, which is unbridled capitalism at it's most ideal and free, in practice.

Educating girls is one of the highest-leverage things one can do for the environment, because after a generation or two of educated women, the birth rate declines.

And there's too many people on this planet for all of us to be able to live well.

Not that I should bitch, the only intimacy in my life is getting felt up by the TSA, but air travel these days is the worst. I wear a long jean skirt often and sometimes get pulled out because "I might have something under it" to which I always reply, I do, but it's none of your concern.

The best story (for our non-thinking fucking government officials), I forgot to bring a baggie (for my three ounce bottles) and they wouldn't let me take through a small bottle of hotel hand lotion. I pulled out some plastic bag I had in my purse, smaller than the one allowed, and they told me it has to be a one quart baggie which zipped. I looked at the guy and said, You have to be joking. It's in a plastic bag. It's a .2 oz think of hand cream! He told me I could go back through security again and they would allow it.

I looked at him and said, fuck it, keep it. Try thinking for a change. Have you no common sense?

I am going to be on the no travel list for my big mouth, but honestly, some of the policies are simply retarded.

Bush begs Brown not to leave. Oil companies won't
get in trouble if they murder polar bears. Americans are forced to cut back on the good stuff for Dad tomorrow. Bush loses another levee during his second term. Things are going so well in Iraq that a female suicide bomber ruined a soccer game. [Of course, some might spin it as her just being one of those hooligans...] Huckabee gets a job at Faux News. Agreed completely! Education doesn't always produce intelligence (just look at Bush. Everything going for him but for a brain and a conscience).

And having gone out with the Adonis type - albeit rarely - all it took was once thinking, dude, just don't speak. That cemented it.

Now, I don't even look for good looking men (someone I find attractive is sufficient, and I am blessed with finding a lot of things attractive), for good looking people (of both genders) tend to get by on looks alone and lack the depth of personality I have a great appreciation for.

Damn. You did get it. I hang my head in shame.

Someone please look this up since I am technically ignorant to do so. A touch off topic, but I’m imagining worth it.
Some time ago Bush kinda romanticized soldiers in Iraq, something like, “If I was younger I could see the adventure of going to Iraq and serve my country”. Of course many were all over that due to his AWOLiness while in the National Air Guard, and the position reserved for him so he could AVOID the adventure in Vietnam. I saw it maybe a month ago.
Last night I did a double take because of a McCain ad that starts with something very funny, I think, with regards to Bush & McCain relationship and Bush’s dreamy statement. I didn’t catch it exactly but McCain states,”Anyone who romanticizes war is a fool and a ????”. Then the scene switches and he continues to talk about how he doesn’t like war and blah blah blah.
If these two segments were put up together it would be halarious.
Someone please find these and blog it up, I think it’ll be precious.
