I've come up with the perfect "Honest McCain Campaign Poster"
http://gopnot4me.blogspot.com/2008/08/honest-mccain-campaign-poster-18.html
Will they thank me? Nnnnooo.
Anyone else have trouble staying awake watching the Dem whatever it us?
Jon Stewart, you are an incredible man.
Meat @ 3:
And yourself?
Perfect. Truer words have never spoken.
I noticed everyones eyes glazed over when Michelle mentioned "Working Hard" to get somewhere in life.
Okay. McCain was just on Leno and got asked about the houses. He cited his 5 1/2 years without a house, a chair or a table. Also, he still hasn't asked his staff, because he thinks he has five houses. Wow. He really is batshit crazy.
That billboard is for real ? Wow, I love it. Jon Stewart and his crew in their faces. HAH !
pricklygirl @ 7:
Guy has servants (staff) to keep track of everything. Like most people in his income bracket.
Gun nuts try to kill Obama at the DNC.
Tax shelters rip off billions from the feds. Biden's son was the equivalent of Neil Bush. Only in Bush's America would a weapon of mass destruction be awarded landmark status. Bush wants Russia to recognize Georgia, but is against Georgia recognizing South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Looks like the CIA is in full swing this election season.
L.A. Confidential @ 2:
Did you watch Ted Kennedy's speech?
L.A. Confidential @ 2:
Tired from watching the convention, L.A., but wide awake to troll, ay?
calgarylady @ 8:
Cons driving by will think it's a compliment.
guido @ 13:
Seen LAC here alot longer than you "guido". Just a thought....You might want to know WTF you're talking about before opening your pie hole.
Meat @ 12:
Didn't inspire me. Nice guy, deserves a round for public service and everything but didn't hear anything cutting edge, transforming, and transcending.
guido @ 13:
I'm posting your trolling.
Yeah. No white oligarchs in the Democratic party.
Uh, huh.
Loved Michelle's speech. Hated the music they played after..."Isn't She Lovely?" You're kidding me? That's all they could come up with? Made me cringe. Don't get me wrong, she is a lovely woman, but her speech wasn't about being lovely. Why do Dems do stupid stuff?
Oh I've seen and read plenty "johnny." I'm just trying to keep LA awake, apparently the convention was boring him...but allow my pie hole to open again to say "nice to meet you too."
Johnny2Bad @ 18:
Oh no not at all.
http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/Conventions/story?id=5648474&page=1
Between Ted Kennedy's speech and the clip and 2 speeches highlighting Michelle Obama, I was moved far more than I expected to be.
I generally hate conventions, but I think the Democrats hit it out of the park. The reaction of the 2 little girls was the icing on the cake.
I was very proud to be an Obama supporter tonight.
Contrast that with John McCain, who staged a deliberate set-up that allowed him to say to Jay Leno that for 5 1/2 years he didn't have a kitchen. Good grief. That was almost a verbatim line he has used to deflect criticism in the past.
I think Mr. McCain has just jumped the shark at the same time that Michelle Obama glided right past it.
The FBI suspected potential mortgage fraud, but looked the other way. A new Kitty Genovese for the new millennium?
pricklygirl @ 7:
there are homeless in america going without for longer then that.
Oh, and is anyone else glad that Obama ain't running during a Zero Year?
GOPnot4me @ 1:
Absolutely F**ckin' Perfect!
Independent UK:
You can't be serious: How a comedian became the most influential voice in American politics
.. great article .. with a collection of Daily Show vid clips ..
They should play there, specially for John McCain; "Money Money Money" of ABBA at the convention.
(no really.. they should..)
After receiving the endorsement from Daddy Yankee earlier today, McCain began to start dancing to Gasolina in joy! Read my article or you can watch him dancing to the song on YouTube
GOPnot4me @ 1:
Site Monitor...
You need to bring this to John Amato's attention... it really does deserve and honorable mention at the very least!
L.A. Confidential @ 16:
Yeah, true, but you know how these things work. They've got to stoke this fire a few days in a row. Teddy's the warm-up act of day one. And besides, he was still better than Nancy Pelosi, and she didn't have half of her head shaved.
Tequila @ 23:
The sound you hear in the background even beyond the sound of John McCain's carping, snotty campaign commercials is the whoosh of capital leaving the system.
guido @ 31:
Looks to me like it will be a hall of Zombies until Obama hits the stage.
Wait, why is there only one Jason Jones? Where are the rest of the Jones Clones!??
L.A. Confidential @ 2:
No!
america imprisons more of its citizens than any other country in the world. ask joe biden why that is.
Ron @ 35:
What stimulant you using. Think I'll try it.
L.A. Confidential @ 2:
You gonna be at the Disgruntled Cynics Convention?
Or have you given up hope on them too?
Awesome.

Thank you, kind sir. You can make your own here:

You'll just have to wait for the excitement of meeting Shep Smith in a stall of the Minneapolis airport.
BeeSting @ 11:
All four of the assassination wannabes gave themselves up real quick when questioned by police.
Makes me wonder - were these the patsies, or just a bunch of fools?
Captain America @ 39:
MountainMan23 @ 38:
LOL good one I wish I was gullible and easily manipulated it would probably make life tolerable.
Elvis @ 19:
Uhh! Why do repugs do stupid stuff?
MountainMan23 @ 42:
wait until the stories come out in full. we need to know they are not a bunch of homeless guys trying to put firecrackers in a skyscrapers.
L.A. Confidential @ 44:
you are! you bought a load of crap and now your trying to spread the stink.
MountainMan23 @ 42:
I'm so cynical now days I think it could have been a staged setup.
MountainMan23 @ 42:
fools. trying to hit a target at 750 yards pumped up on meth doesn't sound like a brilliant plan.
CoIntelPro for Pronktastic Victory Over SCLM, DIEBOLD, ESS and SEQUOIA! @ 47:
you are! you bought a load of crap and now your trying to spread the stink.
What you talking about. I have never voted Republican my entire life.
L.A. Confidential @ 44:
You try to live a life of misery, it catches up to you.
L.A. Confidential @ 4:
I don't understand this comment at all, truth be told.
tr @ 24:
Many of whom, btw, are veterans.
L.A. Confidential @ 44:
Ah, the infamous 'I see a profound truth that you cannot because you aren't as clever/wise as I am!' argument. Dude, people here are simply enjoying the DNC. End of story. Everyone knows that the event is more ceremonial than anything else; I can't imagine that too many posting here are watching and having their minds changed about any specific issue or person. So why are you here, attempting to rain on parades? It makes you seem the opposite of the aloof observer you pretend to be.
Ron @ 51:
Good times bad times I've seen my share.
L.A. Confidential @ 16:
Ted Kennedy is battling brain cancer, sir. This was a bonafide moment that speaks for itself. That's why many people were in tears. That's what makes it important.
L.A. Confidential @ 55:
Why don't you do like the rest of us and at least try to make it better instead of whining all the time. If you didn't like the coverage of the convention, I'm sure your remote could have clicked onto a sitcom or a reality show.
Nice billboard.
L.A. Confidential @ 21:
I'm reminded of a saying about forests and trees. In a nutshell: There are rich people in both parties, and there are lobbyist groups working with both parties. That makes them far from equal, and if you cannot tell by now which of the parties tends to represent wealthy, white Americans by now, then Darwin help you.
This is so incredibly great!
Although Jon Stewart may have "Dixie-chicked" himself with those rich white oligarchs in Minnesota!
Meat @ 54:
Not at all.
Anyone can see this stuff.
Elvis @ 19:
Shoulda went with Toby Keith.
Meat @ 56:
Whatever, were all going to die and be forgotten.
Meat @ 59:
\\
Darwin can't help anyone.
L.A. Confidential @ 63:
its got to be worse dieing rich then poor, thats why id never buy a lotterie ticket , if i won id hate leaveng my loved ones , and fives and fiftys oh a hundreads would bring tears to your glazeing over eyes! usa incriments usa!
L.A. Confidential @ 63:
You are a walking cliché. Go back to listening to "Dust in the Wind" looped and leave the rest of us in peace, please.
And by the way, this comment is brought to you by someone who could hardly be described as an eternal optimist.
I keep hitting "Refresh Comments" but LA Confidential doesn't change a bit.
Ted Kennedy's speech was incredibly moving. Historic, even. It brought tears to my eyes and gave me hope for the future.
Way to go, Senator Kennedy. Well done !
cg @ 53:
Perhaps we can put all the homeless people in Gone InSane's many houses. He doesn't seem to be using them at the moment.
I'm expecting the second night of the DNC to have some balls.
BTW the Billboard is awsome.
If Colbert can top that he's not only the coolest Catholic in History he may be the coolest person in History.
General Jack D. Ripper @ 60:
He's not exactly in danger of losing his regular audience.
Karen @ 71:
Have you forgotten that his audience has a better education than Faux viewers?
twin cities is a nice deep blue state i miss it. that billboard will
get some laughs.....stewart is loved their.
Madonna infuriates McCain with Hitler-Mugabe sequence at Cardiff concert
Touched a nerve, I'd say ..
And here's the best YouTube capture of the Video I could find:
Madonna: Get Stupid Video Interlude
Johnny2Bad @ 15:
trolling a site for years doesn't make him not a troll.
An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.
charlie @ 75:
I agree, LA has been carrying the water for the repugnants for quite some time now.
Thanks Charlie
Ah so refreshing. And the CBS people took the money to put it up! Wonder how long that sales-person is going to last.
guido @ 78:
you're welcome. you have to just ignore the guy. goodnight!

MountainMan, I've never been a big fan of Madonna, but that video is very powerful and moving.
Thanks for the Jon Stewart article, too. It's a sad commentary on society that the only truth we get is from comedians. At least they make us laugh along the way. We all have to stay positive and united.
One of our vehicles gets attacked in Pakistan.
calgarylady @ 82:
Same here re Madonna .. but I ended up watching it several times and catching more each time. Very disturbing images & compelling lyrics.
Ya know .. in the European Courts of Olde .. the Jester was the only person allowed to mock the King (or so I've been told) .. and it's interesting that the establishment Media all towed the Party Line .. but it's the Comedians who have really taken the Bush-Cheney Gang to task.
btw .. you're welcome .. and thanks for the appreciation ;)
Not to be pedantic, but that billboard is on I-494, which is right where the airport is. I live 5 miles from there.
I was driving along there and drinking milk when I saw it. The milk came out of my nose.
Hey, my pleasure.
Elvis @ 19:
Maybe they played that song because Stevie Wonder was playing there tonight?
Well, I have to call it a night also. A night!
toodles
L.A. Confidential @ 14:
Speaks to their IQ's.

L.A. Confidential @ 63:
Why do you even bother posting?
Do the world a favor and quite breathing if all you can do is bitch.
tr @ 36:
How about asking Bu$h or Cheney about this? Haven't they been instrumental in such treatment of its citizens and people from other countries??
Meat @ 52:
You're not alone... I don't understand it either...
Shut-eye time for me. Peace, everybody.
What if Cindy fell off the wagon after Michelle's speech? Can you handle it? Land sakes, Sally, that's some nasty language!
Read "Cindy's Last Stand At Narcotics Anonymous"
http://mojopo.blogspot.com/2008/08/cindys-last-stand-at-narcotics.html
That's one awesome billboard.
Enjoy it, Repugs!
As a Minnesotan, may I just that, in my humble opinion, this is the greatest billboard in the history of this fine state.
Fantastic!
