This probably isn't the sort of "help" Ted Cruz or the publisher of his recent wingnut coloring book were looking for to boost their sales, but that didn't stop Stephen Colbert from giving them a plug.
December 18, 2013

With only seven shopping days left before Christmas, Stephen Colbert reminded his audience that “it's not too late to get your kids the presents of their dreams.”

Nightmares might be more like it.

COLBERT: A coloring book about Ted Cruz is currently the number one book on Amazon's list of children's coloring books. […] People who bought the Ted Cruz coloring book also bought a Crayola 64 pack of white crayons.

After explaining to his viewers all of the things kids are just going to “love” about the Ted Cruz coloring book and discussing some of the other books Really Big Coloring Books has published, Colbert commended them on the “great job” they're doing and hoped they were going to to “create more conservative themed activities and toys, like "Connect Hillary to Benghazi" and "Hungry Hungry Food Stamp Recipients."
