I've always loved Monk's music, plus I've always loved Scandinavia, so I'm glad that the two were able to join forces and put on some great shows. It's actually no surprise that they'd be into his stuff up there, seeing as the Scandinavian countries were some of the first to accept jazz outside of the U.S.
