As promised, Hillary Clinton opened up her plane to the press today, and immediately went back to greet them and welcome them to the last two months of the campaign.

The reaction was predictable. From the pool report:

“Wheels down at 11:58am

During the flight HRC came to the back of the plane to say “welcome” to the press. Asked whether she was happy to travel with us, she answered she was “very happy. I have been waiting for that moment”, with a big sarcastic smile on her face.”

You be the judge. I didn't see sarcasm there, but maybe I'm missing something. It seems to me she was cheerful and welcoming, joking around with some of the reporters waiting for takeoff.

Later in the day as she was speaking, she began to cough, blaming her hay fever. This sparked the troubled neurons in fevered brains everywhere, and apparently not just on the right wing side. Here's NBC News' tweet:

And on the fevered side of things, there was the Drudge headline:

Jay Rosen may have summarized it best:

This is what they call news. I'm told she answered around 25 questions on the plane from reporters, apparently quenching their thirst for a press conference. But this is the headline.

Meanwhile, crickets on the reports of Trump and his pay-to-play deal with Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi. Alrighty then.

It's going to be a very long 60 days, folks.
