It appears that the RNC is afraid of GOP nominee Nikki Haley as much as Donald Trump is. To be clear, I do not speak Trump, so it will be interesting to see what our readers say about this. The RNC committee submitted a proposal despite Nikki Haley's vow to stay in the race that would end the primary right now and declare Trump the presumptive nominee.

"RESOLVED that the Republican National Committee hereby declares President Trump as our presumptive 2024 nominee for the office of President of the United States and from this moment forward moves into full general election mode welcoming supporters of all candidates as valued members of Team Trump 2024," reads a key portion of the draft resolution, according to The Dispatch.

Easy peasy, right? Trump wouldn't even have to debate Haley. Well, Trump allegedly wants voters to have their say. That's the opposite of what Lumpy wanted for the 2020 election. Trump took to Truth Social to express his gratitude. Stop laughing, you guys. That's what he said.

"While I greatly appreciate the Republican National Committee (RNC) wanting to make me their PRESUMPTIVE NOMINEE, and while they have far more votes than necessary to do it, I feel, for the sake of PARTY UNITY, that they should NOT go forward with this plan, but that I should do it the "Old Fashioned" way, and finish the process off AT THE BALLOT BOX," he wrote. "Thank you to the RNC for the Respect and Devotion you have shown me! TRUMP2024"

The RNC has revealed their cards, saying that the race is rigged for Donald Trump. There is no way that another candidate can win, even if Trump deigns to obey the initial rules. And with Trump, those rules can always be changed. And we're supposed to believe that Trump is genuinely grateful to the RNC or anyone for that matter. This should be a short chapter in a book about gaslighting. Yeah, I'm not buying it.
