Bert Jansch - in a word, Consummate.

With all the tragic news and passing of icons yesterday, it was an overwhelming day to say the least.

But certainly not least was the sad news from England yesterday that Folk music legend and pioneer Bert Jansch had died after a long bout with lung Cancer.

Jansch was probably considered more of a musician's musician and so subsequently he was probably not all that much of a household name in other parts of the world as he was in his native UK.

He was co-founder of the 60's Folk/experimental band The Pentangle who received a goodly amount of notoriety and as the result is probably better known in that context here in the States than as a solo artist.

Here is Angie, a track off his 1965 album and a casual reminder of just what the Music world lost yesterday.
