But the SCUM (SoCalledUnbiasedMedia) HAVE to have some "balancing" accusation to level against the Dims when they--well, not the chickenshit dims, but others, like palast and BradfBlog--mention (as they all too seldom do) the systemic GOPuke efforts to steal elections wholesale by corrupting the ballot counting process with fraudulent soft-ware, tampering with election machinery before it is used, and using their state-wide officials to manipulate the process...

What ELSE do you think the 93 or so US Attorneys who DIDN'T lose their jobs for insufficient partisanship have been doing these last 4 years???

oh, and "First"...

Sarah Palin] had the authority and power to require Mr. Palin to cease contacting subordinates, but she failed to act.

Such impermissible and repeated contacts create conflicts of interests for subordinate employees, who must choose to either please a superior or run the risk of facing that superior's displeasure and the possible consequences of such displeasure. This was one of the very reasons the Ethics Act was promulgated by the Legislature.

Pretty much sums up George Bush's policies of the past 8 years, doesn't it?

DOJ Goes Long for Sarah Palin

[re: the hacking of Palin's email account]

"Generally the Department has not acted in cases in which the result of the intrusion is merely to embarrass the target, for a fairly obvious reason. At best we’re only talking about a misdemeanor. The Palin email hacking case quite plainly falls into this category. So what is going on?

"The Justice Department seems to be setting one of its amazing new rules. When a Republican political figure is damaged in her expectation of being elected to office, it is telling us, that’s a felony. And why is that the case here? Because the hacker helped establish something important: Sarah Palin has been systematically violating the Open Records Act. As David Corn has noted at Mother Jones, Palin relied heavily on private email accounts for improper purposes. As governor of Alaska, she was obligated to maintain as public records her communications with respect to her discharge of official duties. Palin skirted this obligation by turning to private email accounts for government related dealings. In fact, the hacker in question helped flush out Palin’s violations. The hacker also helped establish a motive for the illegal conduct: Palin regularly involved her husband in official business, and it’s easy to understand why she did not want to leave behind evidence of her husband’s involvement...

"Why does it mean nothing to the feds when Joe Six-Pack is the victim of Internet identity theft, but the house falls in when a prankster wants to embarrass Sarah Palin?...

"The prosecutors in this case owe us some explanations..." --Scott Horton

Great, these two old gals tell it like it is, bullshit stinks, we know and so does the rest of the World.

They nailed it with their Rocky and Bullwinkle idea

They are now bookmarked for Daily reading.

Thanks C&L for posting their stuff.

Helen hits the nail on the head and quite succinctly.

Although I would say McCain-Palin are more like the evil, but bumbling Boris and Natasha.

I know Rocky and Mrs. Palin, you're no Rocky.

The story which ACORN is designed to distract us from is the larger story - the totally illegal "purge" by the GOP of voters in 6 swing states. That's the larger picture and why they're out there with ACORN.

These deviates cannot be trusted at all at this point. They're very mentally ill individuals.

That way the crybabies wont be able to say the election was Stolen. We need to win by more than 10%, hopefully the youth of America (who are not poll-able due to cell phones only) will come out in force.

Bob: The electoral map will be so lopsided by the time the red states turn blue that it will be considered the greatest landslide in american politics. Happy day to ya!

I was turned on to them about a week ago and recommended them here because I think they need a wider audience. That Helen is a PISTOL. LOVE her!!!

Now that just being in the same firm as someone who is a bad apple means you are also tainted it seems we need to empty out Both Houses of Congress. When you consider how many Congress people have ties to just about every thing stinky.

The freepers are desperate, they have reached the frantic state, their voices are up in not only volume but the pitch has gone way up also. Their washed out faces are now getting some color and their Evangelical hairdos and hair pieces are looking not so perfect.

Shame on us for not vetting every employee who worked in the same corporation as we did! Shame, shame, indeed!

I worked for Johnson & Johnson, the family of companies, so I guess it was my responsibility to make sure that no one of the billion plus employees they have was ever engaged in anything criminal, eh?

This is so moronic that it's laughable. It's clear that these frauds are not totally desperate.

you can bet mccain is aware of the chatter about michelle obama working at the same law firm as
bernadine dohrn. mccain himself made reference to her a few days ago when he said he didn't care about
a tired old terrorist.....then he continued by commiting about ayer's wife. the mccain campaign is trying everything. this will stir up more rural/tertiary suburb folks. surprise, mccain said the spouses were off limits. add this to the lists of mcFlip-Flops.

What's more germane, however, is whom we are affiliated with today - as in the John McCain camp of Lobbyists and Cheats. Rick Davis who pulled his last $15,000 the same month that Freddie Mac went under - how is he not doing something shady?

Phil Gramm of the "GRAMM/LEACH/BLILEY ACT" fame. This man will be shown historically by his personal actions to have "aided and abetted" the removal of all regulation onn Wall Street.

And this is just the beginning...It's time to "out" McCain's 8 lobbyists who have stolen money from american citizens.

We could give a rip about someone someone worked with because it's not our responsibility to vet organizations we work for - it is, however, the principal responsibility of a candidate to properly "vet" his Vice President for openers - the now disgraced, unethical Sarah Palin.

It is, however, the primary responsibility for a candidate to ensure the public trust by not hiring outright criminals who have sacked this economy and directly taken "payoffs" which we, the taxpayers, are now having to pay off.

This is the level of slime and sleaze which permeates the entire McCain Campaign. This is the level to which this man has sunk. This is a total campaign of corruption, which americans are now realizing.

It's not only "more of the same"....it's worse and "double of the same".

I've got two very instructive segments up on The Lamb. It's pretty stomach-turning stuff. One thing is certain: These are NOT people who are persuaded by or much interested in, or even seemingly aware of, "nuance." They see McC(umst)ain/Sara-cooter as instruments of their vengeance.

Unfortunately, albeit inevitably, Obama seems to have inherited all the racial animus felt by Whites 40 years ago by these people's parents when Rev. King challenged their self-satisfied self-images, showing them--the virtual whole majority culture--to be criminally racist. Obama's doing the same thing, but all the more dangerously, because he's mebbe gonna be president. Not just "president," THEIR "president."

See, White People aren't completely ignorant of their histories as oppressors, only mainly, congenitally in denial about it. White People mostly know enough to realize that if they'd been treated the ways that White People have mostly treated Black and Brown People here for the last 450 years, White people would be fuuking furious, uncontrollably outraged, murderously discontented, and only waiting for a chance to get even.

And they mainly can't understand how a Black Person (an avatar of ALL those people the Whites have 'mistreated' (putting it mildly) ALL that time) won't undertake to exact vengeance in precisely the ways THEY'D do it if they, the White People, had such grievances and were in the position to do so.

Which is also one of the reasons why White People expend so much energy in imagining grievances against not-white people. Ever notice, even Black Fundies don't think themselves as persecuted by non-Xians, in the same ways that White Xians do?

It comes down to this: White People see themselves owed the chance to 'get even' with the formerly marginalized people whom white people blame for their own inability to take advantage of being a White person in a White-racist culture. And they see in McC(umst)ain and the Sara-cooter the bludgeons they've been looking for...

"Our" side was scrupulous about going to the streets over Bush v. Gore. These folks will have no such scruples about cancelling Obama's ticket.

I think the Neocons are already putting out word that if Obama wins, it will be because the Dems perpetrated voter fraud. This is part of their fuss over ACORN; they don't want legitimate voters registered.

Some goofball on a local newspaper blog said as much this morning. I have to believe she didn't come up with that idea herself. What are Fox and that ilk of pundits saying? Sour grapes in advance.

Is it just me, but when I enter a comment in the music club, it tries to trap me in the music club?

And doesn't offer any cocaine.

This is probably way off topic, but has anyone seen or heard from Ann Coulter lately? I can't believe we haven't heard her melodious voice running Biden and Obama into the ground, while extoling the virtues of Miss Sarah.

This video was put out the by Obama-Biden campaign to counter the hateful rhetoric spewing from McCain, Palin and their surrogates.

Please view and pass it on.

Thank you.

John McCain keeps asking this question at his rallies -- then he gives answers that are shockingly false and negative.

That's why it's vital that you sign up to volunteer for at least one day during the final days of this election. Voters won't know the truth about Barack unless supporters like you reach out to them.

I also wanted to share a video of personal moments from behind the scenes at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, so you can see Barack and Michelle as they are -- decent, warm, and kind people with a loving family.

Watch the video and get to know the Obamas a little better. Then sign up to volunteer on a crucial day before the Election:

Our opponents try to stir up doubt and fear by questioning who Barack really is -- as if after more than a decade in public office, more than 20 months on the campaign trail, dozens of debates, two books written by him and dozens more about him, people still don't have enough information to decide for themselves who should lead our country.

Millions of Americans have gotten to know Barack Obama as an American who's devoted his life to things bigger than himself -- his community, his country, and ordinary citizens looking for a voice.

Our challenge now is to do the same -- to devote these last weeks to a cause bigger than ourselves.

These tough economic times make our cause more urgent and the stakes even higher. Barack needs your help to win this election and bring the change we need to Washington.

Can you give a day of your time during the last four days of the election?

Watch the video, share it with others, and get involved:

http://my.barackobama.com/4Days

Only 24 days remain until Election Day. Won't you commit at least one to ensure our victory?
