This is great and all, but now I'm worried that Palin showing up on SNL right before the election is going to give their ticket just enough bounce to steal the election. Fukin hell!
Who in the Hell at SNL would want this viper on live TV. all I can say is I hope that they do not give her a chance to speak. walk on, let the Crowd BOO, walk off. that would be plenty.
I don't think there will be much of any bounce from Palin appearing on SNL. Chances are equally good that she will think she made a splash and proved her coolness, while instead appearing to viewers as the same phony lying succubus that we have already gradually become familiar with.
SNL producer Lorne Michaels wants her on the show, because he's a huge McCain supporter.
I appreciate the message in this song. I hope people listen up!
ugh.. Can you change this song?
Now I have to shower to get that EuroPop stank off.
What a horrible song. But I guess it's right up the mindless side of "change" alley.
I'll bet your favorite songs are "Bomb, bomb, bomb,..." and "I'm in the Money".
McCain’s Back-Handed Defense of Obama

In my opinion the best Obama song will always be "Yes We Can" by Will.I.Am and John Legend; if this doesn't inspire you nothing will: http://brainrageblog.blogspot.com/2008/03/we-...
This song rocks! I love it. I am pumped up for change and a NEW PRESIDENT! Go OBAMA!
Great message and great voice, Gioia! What a great collaboration for a great purpose!
Love the message and the mix! Very inspirational and fun!
John Lewis Condemns GOP Campaign Tactics
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/20...
Wow, just wow. And of course Barack Obama should apologize for anything anybody else says, in fact he should also apologize for John McCain and Sarah Palin as well. I think Senator Obama should apologize for that one time in the first grade that I stole another students lunch money from his rubber coin purse but then gave it back!
and McCain's response a "BREAKING NEWS" story. Are these people serious? This is their idea of a breaking news story?
John Lewis is absolutely right. This rabble-rousing rhetoric (and McCain and Palin are speaking to the rabble) is scary and wrong. So now, the McCain campaign people are insulted? If Chutzpah can even be defined, I would say that this is it.
23 days to go. I hope we all make it.
Very well...
http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/1...
They not only pretend to be insulted, his corporate whore wife is out there calling the Obama campaign the dirtiest campaign ever.
It seems they are hardwired to be shameless hypocrites or something.

I like the song and video. It didn't down load for me (Apple user), so I'll try later. I think to change the world. we need to win by a landslide. Too much interference will be run on election day. I think McCain is already planning to contest the election and say Obama voter fraud. Only a landslide will be able to shut that down. And I hate to say it, but the Secret Service better be working overtime to keep the Obama's safe. McPalin have unleashed a very ugly element of our society, and they are not going to be able to control it (no matter how little they try).
Just wait eight bars to find out what it's all about. I don't have the stomach but if somebody's inspired why more power to them! My clubbing days are over. "Arab" = N-word light. Truly funny when one geriatric takes the microphone from the other in a momentary lapse of decency.
for C&L and this is a test!
Meh - 7+ minutes is where it loses me.
What if Palin decided to try and save her own political career and resigned from the VP spot on the Republican ticket? She could site McCain's erratic behavior and sympathy towards "friends of terrorists" as reason to sever her ties to the Straight Talk Express. Sure, it will further torpedo McCain's chances for victory and piss off a few Republicans, but McCain has already lost this election and she may realize that she is going down the political tubes with him. She can probably spin it to strengthen her support among the apparently hate-filled Republican base.
I can't imagine the rabid nature of Palin's inevitable 2012 Presidential bid.
Gawd, please don't inject anymore nightmares into the last 8 years of nightmares.
Palin served as governor of a very strange little town. Somehow she ended up a 1 term governor. She's a one hit wonder; not a career politician.
I hope that you understand that Palin wouldn't "realize" if a Greyhound Bus landed on her. Clueless.
I hope that you understand that Palin wouldn't "realize" if a Greyhound Bus landed on her. Clueless.
McCain just lost another Republican. One of the "three wise men" he said he would consult if elected prez. Ouch.

Correction.
John Lewis is a Democratic Representative in the House.
Bush, like the overwhelming majority of Americans and most of the free world, is glad his presidency is coming to an end soon http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/11/business/11...
Now if only we can hold him and Cheney for making out like bandits as they ran the country into the ground, and sticking us with the bill in the process as they got countless people killed to boot, there would be justice in the world but I'm not holding my brreath.
Pfeh. During the night, someone went through the neighborhood and several adjacent streets and stole all of the NO ON PROP 8 signs.
I'd call the media, but there's no story - just a missing sign that you can't prove was there to begin with.
Several of us are working to get new signs posted.
Take a look in your local church dumpster. I'll bet you find your signs.
Get your printer primed and make all you need:

Every American deserves equality! Hurray for Connecticut!
Yup, got one standing by as needed.
And, yes, the 'church dumpster' idea has been mentioned by a few people.
How To Fix Our Banking System
The “Genesis” Plan
by Karl Denninger
It is clear that we must act to stabilize our financial markets. What is also clear is that if we act imprudently we
will destroy our financial markets and system instead of saving it, and are likely to usher in a Depression.
What Henry Paulson and Ben Bernanke have proposed will do the latter, not the former.

This and other alternatives must be examined before our nation embarks on what may be a disastrous path.

I guess NBC (whose parent company is General Electric) and SNL want to prove that the road to the White House doesn't go through CBS and Letterman by helping Lady McCheney with an October surprise performance country be damned http://features.csmonitor.com/politics/2008/1...
Hillary Clinton was on SNL and it didn't help her campaign.
After watching this video, Sarah Palin would be a disaster to the environment and would put our country further in debt.
http://thebruceblog.wordpress.com/2008/10/11/...
The McCain/Palin ticket is the first in American history in which both candidates were found to have violated ethics standards before a national election.
Mavericks, oh yeah.
for having to submit to "political correctness" for these last 30 or so years. In McPalin they correctly decode the appeal to their fearful rage. These are people who used to take pride in feeling superior to negroes, and telling the negroes that, with virtual impunity. Mexicans, too. Now there are bodegas on the corners. They HATE it, and they know Palin, at least, hates it right along with 'em. Bombin' Johnnie may give occasionally ambiguous signals, but the Sara-cooter is ol' reliable. They read her like the Old Testament...
all aboard the hate talk express!

"a song for and inspired by Barack Obama"
Please don't be offended people, but.......yuck..gag me....song idea is great but for a politician? He is no Martin Luther King, he's a politician. Now he is inspiring songs? Good lord.
Where the hell has he disappeared to? He seems to have completely gone off the radar; I haven't seen him mentioned in the news media for at least several weeks.
Perhaps in a secure, undisclosed location, planning an October surprise? My spider sense is tingling.
He is down at Gitmo drinking the blood of his victims so that they will become his slaves in the after life.
An October Surprise????? Yew Betcha'!!!!
He was the face of BushCo., and now he's just vanished in a puff of smoke, and no one seems to have noticed. and I can't help but feeling that something sinister is in the works.
Maybe he died and they don't want to cause a panic, so they're keeping it secret. We can only hope.
The Palin abuse of power story is being buried by major news outlets online as far as I can tell. I don't have television, so I don't know if it's getting coverage there.
Local news outlets didn't even feature the story on the front page and have buried it way below the fold. Most outlets are reporting from the headline "Palin denies abuse" or somesuch.
There's a "major news story" about a SNL poll on CNN. Oh, and a story about McCain saying he's angry, too. And Angelina Jolie breastfeeding. Their top story is adding ink to more lies from the Palin camp. I'm sure Monday will be another "Ayers link" "story."
There's the "liberal media" for you. I'll be bookmarking sites that actually cover the story. The rest will be blocked.
The lawmakers onn Capitol Hill should give every American taxpayer a one million dollar economic stimulus check. What's $250 million out of that $700 billion? I mean, think of the myriad of ways people would spend it...
Seriously, they should.
You might want to check your math on that.
For those just tuning in, $250 million at $1 million a pop means there are only 250 people in America.
250,000,000 x 1,000,000 = 250,000,000,000,000 ($250 TRILLION).
If they start the presses now, they could get right on that. The October surprise; print up $250 trillion in paper money and toss it to the mob. It's just the 2.0 version of the $600 cheques.

Nice idea but most Americans have no idea how to handle big money.
They'd blow it at Vegas or go on a spending orgy buying stuff thats not even produced in this country that they don't need. Making the burn rates of the tech bubble Venture capital financed dot.com geeks look like amateurs.
"They'd blow it at Vegas or go on a spending orgy buying stuff thats not even produced in this country that they don't need."
Or, more simply, nothing would change.
I'm still excited and optimistic that Obama will win in November... even after listening to this song.
Ok, it's not exactly Pink Floyd, but I like the positive message.
Maybe people will dance to it, instead of going for each others throats. Aren't we all just a little tired of all the negativity. It never helps anyone. (As I continue smearing hillbillies on YouTube. Hey, first you have to get their attention.)
Agreed... this kind of music doesn't turn my crank, but it wasn't disgustingly bad for its style I guess. If it gets a few of the hypno-trance-dance ecstasy-eating crowd to shimmy into the voting booth, good.

This election season, I have the privilege of living in a battleground state--Indiana.
Last Wednesday, I skipped school (I'm an art teacher) to attend the Obama rally in Indianapolis. I went with my parents. Dad will be 72 this month and Mom is 69, and they are the reason I am a Democrat and a progressive.
The crowd was remarkably diverse, across race, age, and socio-economic lines. I saw toddlers and people using walkers. I've never seen a gathering quite like it in Indiana.
Of course, Barack was great, but the remarkable thing for me was after we left the event. Dad, Mom and I were walking to our cars. As we walked, Dad told me he actually got chills when Barack took the stage.
Now, my dad is no cynic, but he is, as he puts it, "disgustingly practical." He doesn't admit to such things.
I'm 43 years old, and I can't remember my dad ever saying something like this to me.
Barack moves people, inspires them. More than just about anything, our country needs that right now. Inspired and united, we can and will meet the challenges we face as a nation.
Totally agree. My folks feel the same. Both are near 80 and my Dad always has voted Conservative, but he loves Obama (and hates Bush). Too bad we live in Canada? Not really: optimism knows no border-- share it.
You must see this video (or not), but (I would)...

The Obama personality cult is reaching whole new levels of creepiness. Otherwise, this technocrap went out in the late 1980s.
Gee....you sound so predictably Republican.....or maybe you'd vote for Nader....
Cool vid above, but really, this will make you cry.
