Fox News' John Gibson: Plays Maddow Clips, Adds Homophobic Slur
By Logan Murphy Friday May 02, 2008 5:00pmAbove audio clip and more from Media Matters:
While discussing the controversy surrounding Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Sen. Barack Obama's former pastor, on the April 30 edition of his nationally syndicated Fox News radio show, host John Gibson aired an audio clip of MSNBC commentator Rachel Maddow in which she asked, "What else has to happen in the news to push Jeremiah Wright out of the headlines?" Following her comments, Gibson aired an unidentified audio clip of a man saying, " Ooh, lesbians. Yummy." Later in the segment, Gibson's producer, known on-air as "Angry Rich" said, "That Maddow's become bathtub boy's pit bull, hasn't she?" -- an apparent reference to MSNBC's Countdown host, Keith Olbermann. Gibson replied, "Ooohhh. ... Well, I don't know, you know? She may have one of those -- I shouldn't say anything more, should I?" "Angry Rich" said, "No," and Gibson said, apparently referring to his associate producer, "Christine's shaking her head back and forth," and went on to air an audio clip in which an unidentified woman said, "I would like to thank my wife." Gibson later said, "Did I tell you about the people ... on the island of Lesbos?" Read on...
Poor Gibby. His tee vee show got yanked from the polluted FOXNews network and is stuck in the vast wasteland of right wing talk radio. Poor bigot.

In a cringe-inducing Orwellian moment, John Gibson conveniently rewrote history last night in a mere 180 seconds. According to Gibson's narrative, the motive behind the Plame outing was simple: Cheney and Libby were benignly trying to defend themselves against the factually inaccurate charge that they had initiated the CIA inquiry into Niger. In "fact," it was the all-powerful Valerie Plame who overrode senior CIA officials and demanded her husband be sent. Furthermore, it was all a carefully crafted conspiracy by the "anti-war activist" Wilsons and CIA "cabal" that was hellbent on "sabotaging" President Bush's carefully treaded march to war.
"FOX stupid" is a new label I have for this trash. Can't they just attack his name? John Gibson, a resident Bush Cultist, has a segment devoted to Obama smoking ciggies. Yes, enquiring minds want to know why "nobody sees him smoking." Thanks Roger Ailes.
Rep. Kingston goes on FOX and tries to defend
Tim sent in this video. The conservatives that supported Mel as their hero after his very controversial "The Passion of the Christ" movie are really falling apart trying to defend him while making believe they aren't. The apologists usually move past his anti-Semitic remarks and accept his apology at face value. Then they quickly change the subject to why no one is talking about anti-Christian sentiments. A typical smoke screen that they are so very good at, but hey--he did apologize--right? Or was it his PR staff? Meanwhile, Joe has a problem with a few other pundits in this clip.
