I recall it still like it was yesterday. It was a little before 11pm and I was getting ready to go to bed (it was a school night.) I had the radio on. The dj came on the air reading a report that just came off the AP wire.
"John Lennon has been shot by what police are describing as a local screwball. Reports are still developing."
He then went into Beatles song which led into the news. There it was confirmed John Lennon was dead.
It was 35 years ago today.
