McCarthy Mocked For Blaming Cost Of Eggs On Government Spending

The price for eggs has increased because chickens have been hit with the deadly avian influenza - the bird flu. This happened before in 2015 with the same results. The cost of eggs skyrocketed.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy blamed the cost of eggs "on the overspending in Washington," which is a lie. And inflation is a global issue. Egg prices are going down. I bought a dozen eggs for $2.99 last week.

And he misspelled *brakes.

Eggs used to be a cheap protein. Now they’re practically a delicacy.

Every single House Republican voted against legislation to crack down on gas price gouging. Then Republicans complained about gas prices. Everything they feign to care about, they vote against it. 28 Republicans voted against the child sex abuse probe in December. Every Democrat voted for it. I don't want to hear them talk about spending, inflation, or family values again. But they will.
