The persecution complex is strong with torture pimp John Yoo, now a Fox commentator for money.

And since no one in Fox world can talk about the actual facts of the case (Trump's organization kept two sets of books to cheat on taxes -- that's sworn testimony from his accountant), Yoo decides to fill the Fox airtime with whining about the "impact" this trial will have on Republican investors, who (gasp) might decide to not make money in New York City because of all the persecution of Trump the good Republican.

Yeah.

JOHN YOO: But the other thing, and you saw a glimmer of this actually in Trump's remarks just now, is what effect is this going to have on New York and on the Trump organization going forward? If you were a judge here, one thing you should be conscious of. And I said, this is what Trump mentioned, is: what effect is this having on New York, already a city beset by crime, beset by politicians who President Trump is saying are corrupt.

New York is the financial center of the United States, if not the world. The country's greatest financial companies come there to set up and do business. What if the message this trial sends out is, well, you can come to New York and do business, but only if you're a Democrat, and if you're a Republican, we're going to start using the political system to harass you.

A judge might think, "I don't know if I want to overly punish a Trump organization."

If it's going to send a message out that businesses and corporations, which are in New York City's lifeblood, should go do their business somewhere else in the United States or even abroad.

Or maybe, just maybe, John Yoo, the judge should throw the book at corruption wherever it is, with Trump or Robert Menendez or whoever. And if you're caught defrauding insurance companies, for whom the Democratic Party has no great love, you should lose your business.
