Please Note: Our post honoring the memory of Prince appears here.

James Newell Osterberg, Jr was born on this day, April 21st, in 1947. We know him better as Iggy Pop. Given the wild ride of a life he had a lot of people are surprised that he's still alive, let alone still rockin' out. He went through all the darkness and now enjoys the light (so often so that he hardly ever wears a shirt so the light can shine even more on him.)

Trying to pick one song from his career for this occasion has proven tricky. There's so many great ones. His new album, Post Pop Depression, is a collaboration with Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age and Kyuss fame. It's been getting a lot of positive attention and shows that the street walkin' cheater with a hand full of napalm still has a lot of fire in him. So let's check out a song from it.
